Match observations:

After a lot of hype and speculation, Gang Wars was definitely a mixed
bag of good and bad wrestling, and not everything was quite what was hoped for.
The first two matches really belonged on a Waste-Of-Time, not the pay-per-view
itself... but since the Waste-Of-Time had been done away with for this event,
that didn't happen. It is considered somewhat of an upset that Ruby Richard led
his team to victory against the Bull Moose Party... maybe he really can become
a one-time VCW World Tag Team Champion.
After having a guitar broken over his head by Jessica Judd two weeks
ago, Neytron DelArmeggio returned the favor, laying Jessica Judd out with a
shot from her guitar and pinning her for a victory. Though successful in his
match, his quest to "save" Jessica Judd doesn't appear as though it will ever
succeed, assuming that Neytron was even sincere in the first place.
The team of Haigeikobai, Melissa DelArmeggio, Bunkhouse Buck, and Dick
Slater were completely destroyed by the hardcore team of Devaccio Pola, Rob
Solomon, and the Wrecking Crew... this didn't surprise anyone. Only Melissa
DelArmeggio put up a respectable fight going down, taking the VCW Television
Champion Devaccio Pola with her before being pinned to lose the match for
Stormy Weathers and his team.
In a match between two of VCW's strangest competitors, Chris Champlain
scored a decisive victory over Marylin Silvera, after weeks of bickering over
thier old business at Disaster Area. Maybe now these two talented athletes can
turn their talents towards more productive ventures.
Rob Solomon and Devaccio Pola had more problems tonight than just Stormy
Weathers and his gang of thugs, when they stumbled upon Hell's Bikers in the
parking lot, who were busy stealing the wheels from Rob Solomon's car. Rob
Solomon and Devaccio Pola attacked them, but were left laid out on the concrete
after Jack Norman and Butch Manson retaliated with a steel wrench and a
baseball bat. Perhaps Hell's Bikers should have used similar tactics against
the Immortals... as it was, they were outwrestled and beaten by a faster, more
technically talented team.
Speaking of technically talented teams, Jacob Idol's anti-Inquisition
team soundly defeated Moy Lazzario, Rex Richards, and the Manhunters, though
Tim Bell was eliminated before the match was over. As a result, these four
Inquisition members were banned from the building for the rest of the night,
which kept the main event interference-free. The hastily-built team that Jacob
Idol brought together worked much better together than anybody expected... even
Owen Addison's attitude didn't make problems for them tonight. There has
already been some talk that this makeshift union of technical wrestlers might
last longer than just one night.
The War Games Match seemed like a good idea to DeJohnnyration X and
their legions of fans... but unfortunately, everybody overlooked one thing:
of the six participants, only Lance Errington, and to a lesser extent Dean
Sanders, knew what to do in a War Games Match. Not a single member of
DeJohnnyration X has considerable experience in submission wrestling, which was
a huge detriment to their success, as well as the quality of this match. In
more ways than one, this was the most disappointing match of the night.
The main event, on the other hand, more than made up for it, as eight of
the best in VCW collided head-to-head for over a half-hour. After an hour of
exhausting battle, Falcon did indeed make good on his promise to win a pay-per-
view event, pinning David Wright Hubbard in the middle of the ring after his
Superkick, earning a standing ovation from the crowd and a victory for his
team. And as I recall, this was part of a very interesting bet he had going
with Troy Black...
Tomorrow night on VCW, the fallout from Gang Wars will be addressed. The
Golden Society will be present, as will the Wrecking Crew and many more top
stars. In addition, James Lockman will address the controversy surrounding
Stormy Weathers and the sneaky tactics he's been using to keep the VCW World
Tag Team Titles on Melissa DelArmeggio and Haigeikobai, and Richard Tobian is
expected to speak out for the first time since he was beaten to a pulp by the
Inquisition three weeks ago. Join us tomorrow night as the action continues on
VCW Monday Night Wrestling!
