Match observations:

Straight out of the Barton Center in Little Rock, Arkansas came the
ghoulishly frightening display of wrestling action called Horror Show. With
allcorny Halloween references aside, there was still a lot of great action
tonight, along with a few surprises. All in all, there was something for
everybody on this show.
The usual time-killing stuff took place during the Waste-Of-Time... and
then there was a celebrity appearance. Peter McNeely, from the world of
professional boxing, made a cameo appearance in VCW to fight Haigeikobai.
Unlike his well-known performance in his fight against Mike Tyson, this time it
was Peter McNeely's turn to dominate his opponent. Haigeikobai's goofy martial
arts moves and Brooklyn Death Grip didn't save him from losing the match in
short order.
The pay-per-view started with the Boise Triad's match against Ruby
Richard Cage and his mystery partner, the returning Hunk Higgins. In a rather
unusual turn of events, the Middle-Aged Outlaws actually dominated the match,
and Higgins made his return a triumphant one when he finished off his opponent
with the Big Leg Drop, sending the Boise Triad packing from VCW. While most
fans aren't thrilled about Hunk Higgins's return to wrestling, at least they
can take solace in knowing that Wham Bam Gigolo and Bunyan are now gone from
VCW.
Another person who won't be doing any more wrestling anytime soon is
Jessica Judd. She was so confident that she'd win tonight's match against her
former Road Girl, Jennie, that she bet her career on it. And her confidence
wasn't misplaced, until her significant other, VCW World Champion Gabriel
Black, interfered against Jessica for an unknown reason, giving Jennie the
victory, and costing Jessica Judd her career as an active VCW wrestler.
There are still MORE wrestlers who won't be seen in a VCW ring anytime
soon, as Marty Jannetty, Sensational Sherri, Rushmore, Bullwinkle, and
Dreadnought have all been given their releases by VCW. Many members of the VCW
Executive Committee have evidently decided to cut a few costs by cutting back
on the roster size, and these five were the wrestlers who apparently didn't
make the grade. Surprisingly, others such as Haigeikobai, Tuxedo, and the Super
Giant Ninja are still employed.
The Technicians earned a decisive victory over Hell's Bikers and their
manager Dick Douglas tonight, settling the lasting issues between Hell's Bikers
and the Ontario Color Show. Evidently former referee Dick Douglas has picked up
a few new moves... he wasn't nearly as inept in the ring as many people
expected him to be. Unfortunately for his team, that wasn't enough to save them
from the superior wrestling skills of the Technicians.
On their way out of VCW, Marty Jannetty and Sensational Sherri were
decisively shown the door, when Johnny Smiles gave Marty one last Smiledriver
to remember him by in their tag team match tonight. After seeing the one-sided
outcome of this rivalry, it sure looks like Marty Jannetty made a big mistake
when he left DeJohnnyration X.
"Stone Cold" Moy Lazzario failed to assert himself as the toughest S-O-B
in VCW again, this time against Devaccio Pola. What made this match interesting
is that both men have been fighting with a brawling style lately, when they
both have extensive backgrounds in other styles of competition. Despite a small
weight disadvantage (which one would think Devaccio Pola is used to by now),
Devaccio Pola overcame Moy Lazzario and retained the VCW Television Title
successfully.
It looks like the Immortals will get a chance to put their evening gowns
to use tomorrow night after all, due to their agreement to a stipulation in
tonight's match that required them to wrestle each other in an Evening Gown
Match if they lost to the Annihilators. They did indeed lose their match
tonight to the Annihilators, and tommorow they'll have to make good on their
promise to compete in an Evening Gown Match. Most fans don't know what to think
of that... it could be funny, or just plain pathetic.
In further news in the tag team division, the Wrecking Crew successfully
defended the VCW World Tag Team Titles against the Golden Society duo of Dean
Sanders and Neytron DelArmeggio. While they'll have one less team to look out
for now that the Bull Moose Party is gone from VCW, the Wrecking Crew still has
to be concerned about several teams closing in for a title shot, such as the
Annihilators, the Ontario Color Show, and the team that the Wrecking Crew won
the titles from in the first place, the Manhunters. All of these teams scored
decisive victories tonight, and they're all closing in on a title shot against
the Wrecking Crew.
The Torturer's confrontation with Crimson wasn't pretty, but we knew
from the start that it wouldn't be. Both of these massive three hundred
pounders beat the living daylights out of each other, until finally Crimson
came out on top, drilling the Torturer with a devestating Chokeslam and
becoming one of the few wrestlers in VCW to score a decisive win over the
Torturer.
In spite of his displays of bravado, mind games, and attacks on Troy
Black over the past month, Lance Errington came up short tonight in his quest
to win the VCW Intercontinental Title and prove himself as a wrestler who
should be on top of VCW. He gave Troy Black a very good fight, even dominating
large portions of the match, but he just couldn't pin Troy Black or make him
submit. That's not unusual, lately... Troy has really been on a roll since the
Survival of the Fittest tournament started. There's no shame at all in losing
to Troy Black, especially not after putting up a fight like Lance did tonight,
but it's obvious this isn't what he really wanted.
Is Falcon a member of the Inquisition? What seemed like a paranoid
attempt by Richard Tobian at justifying his third loss to Gabriel Black now
looks like it may have a kernel of truth to it. During the very close, fast-
paced confrontation between Falcon and Richard Tobian tonight, the tide of the
match suddenly turned when referee Linda Peterson went down (not like that's
unusual or anything). The Torturer came to the ring and gave Falcon the wooden
axe handle, which he used to knock out Richard Tobian for an easy pin. And
that's not the extent of Falcon's odd behavior tonight.
To close out the show came the long-awaited title match between Gabriel
Black and David Wright Hubbard. In spite of his earlier success in brawls with
other wrestlers, Gabriel Black came up short when he tried to slug it out with
David Wright Hubbard in a toe-to-toe brawl. A change in tactics where Gabriel
Black focused his attacks on one of David Wright Hubbard's powerful arms seemed
to work for a while, but then, almost like it was inevitable, David Wright
Hubbard's power offense put him in decisive control of the match again. Whether
or not that would have been enough to finish off Gabriel Black and win the VCW
World Title for David Wright Hubbard, we'll never know, because Falcon came to
the ring and threw the wooden axe handle in. His throw seemed intended for
David Wright Hubbard, but it flew right over his head into the clutches of
Gabriel Black, who immediately knocked David Wright Hubbard out cold with it,
earning himself a disqualification, and thereby retaining the VCW World Title.
So is Falcon really a member of Gabriel Black's Inquisition? This could
spell the end of Liberation X, and drastically reduce the active threat to
Gabriel Black's VCW World Title reign. On the other hand, it's also true that
Gabriel Black played similar mind games six or seven months ago, convincing
people that his brother Troy was an Inquisition member, when, in fact, he
wasn't. Tonight's events raise more questions than they answer as far as
Falcon's allegiance is concerned.
Maybe these questions will be answered tomorrow night, on VCW Monday
Night Wrestling. Whispers backstage circulate that Gabriel Black will introduce
a new ally of some sort on tommorrow night's show, and of course everybody is
wondering where Falcon stands with respect to Richard Tobian, David Wright
Hubbard, and the Inquisition after tonight's events. On top of that, you can
look forward to seeing the Immortals wrestle each other in an Evening Gown
Match, and the first appearance of the Middle-Aged Outlaws on VCW Monday Night
Wrestling in close to six months! And as if that isn't enough, many more VCW
top stars will join us, such as the VCW World Tag Team Champions, the Wrecking
Crew, as well as Moy Lazzario, VCW Television Champion Devaccio Pola, and many
more! Don't miss the excitement and mayhem on the next installment of VCW
Monday Night Wrestling!!
