Match observations:

A week after the Big Fight, business as usual continues in VCW, as
matches were set up for the next VCW pay-per-view extravaganza, Random
Casualties, which will take place on April 18. Tonight's show was very
revealing in terms of expanding upon the alliances, or lack thereof, that exist
between major VCW superstars, as well as the personal rivalries between many of
VCW's wrestlers.
After some (thankfully short) silliness between Rex Richards and
Haigeikobai, Hunk Higgins gave a somewhat long-winded speech, in which he
demanded respect for his status as one of the founding fathers of wrestling...
which made little to no sense. He then went on to challenge Ruby Richard Cage,
totally disgust everybody with a secret aspect of his relationship with Bretta
"The Barmaid" Biffcork, and perform the unimpressive feat of defeating Yoko
Fargo Moto of the Oriental Express.
Russel "The Muscle" Taylor is the newest addition to the VCW talent
roster, and he is a very strong, healthy, young athlete who is unfortunately so
behind-the-times in terms of attitude that it makes Richard Tobian look like
Steve Austin. Also, he hangs around with Teddy Long... which is NEVER a good
sign. His VCW debut was celebrated in an unceremonious loss to the Torturer in
a minute and a half.
The Bull Moose Party is gaining ground in the tag team division with a
solid victory over the Manhunters... they are undisputably very big and strong,
with a good deal of wrestling talent as well... but they are two of the
STRANGEST characters in VCW, and that's saying something. Recently, they have
been lobbying for more speaking time in VCW... time will tell, but with their
latest success, they may get it.
The Immortals' claims of tag team greatness may be well-founded, as they
picked up a big win over the Annihilators and Hell's Bikers in a triangle
match, with Ken Collins picking up the pinfall victory over Jeff Wright. Next
week, Robert Danson has signed to meet Tim Bell for the VCW Television Title...
which is all well and good, but Ken Collins has also signed to meet Gabriel
Black for the World Title next week... a definite mismatch, judging by the
records of each man. Time will tell, but considering Gabriel Black's record,
this doesn't look promising for Ken Collins.
Jacob Idol and Marylin Silvera have evidently put aside their
differences and formed a tag team, the Beautiful People. Although a pairing of
talented wrestlers like this definitely shows promise, their debut match was
less than spectacular, as they were squashed by the returning Wrecking Crew.
There will be other matches, and other chances to pick up victories, and more
likely than not, this one loss won't stop the Beautiful People from becoming a
major tag team force.
Moy Lazzario of the Inquisition decided to try to take back the VCW
Television Title, and tried to accomplish this by insulting current champion
Tim Bell, knowing full well that he wouldn't back down from a challenge to his
dignity as champion. However, the final part of the plan, actually defeating
Tim Bell in the ring, proved to be too difficult for Moy Lazzario, as Tim Bell
eventually defeated him to retain the VCW Television Title.
Melissa DelArmeggio finally became fed up with David Wright Hubbard this
week, and called him out for a match. Instead, Rex Richards and a mini version
of David Wright Hubbard came to the ring to distract her while the real David
Wright Hubbard snuck into the ring through the crowd. David Wright Hubbard
outwrestled and overpowered Melissa to pick up the victory, then proceeded to
beat her up and humiliate her after the match, as he has done many times
before. This time, however, Melissa didn't need anybody to come to her rescue;
she rallied and fought off David Wright Hubbard by herself. They then agreed to
a cage match at Random Casualties to settle the score between them.
Liberation X seems to be in turmoil, as Falcon deliberately passed over
the Annihilators to give a VCW World Tag Team Title shot to himself and Troy
Black, in the name of promoting unity between himself and Troy Black. The
Annihilators resented this, naturally. In spite of Melissa DelArmeggio's feeble
attempts to mediate the personality conflict between Falcon and Troy Black, the
lack of trust still hangs thick between them, and it came to a head at the main
event, when Troy Black used the Torturer's axe handle to hit Owen Addison and
win the VCW World Tag Team Titles for his team. Falcon became upset at what he
perceived as an alliance between Troy Black and the Inquisition, and eventually
attacked Troy Black. However, with a little help from the Torturer, Troy Black
laid out Falcon and the Annihilators, and left them with the spoken message
that he really CAN'T be trusted.
The questions raised by tonight's matches may be answered next week,
when Troy Black and Falcon will meet the Annihilators in for the VCW World Tag
Team Titles, and Ken Collins will challenge Gabriel Black for the World Title.
In addition, Richard Tobian, DeJohnnyration X and the Golden Society will be
present, and Tim Bell will take on Robert Danson for the VCW Television Title.
