Match observations:

Tonight's show would be an occasion where the Inquisition decided to
relax and have a good time... and it very nearly costed thme the VCW World
Title and a humilating defeat, as Gabriel Black's "bald-headed WWF champion"
opponent nearly defeated him. At the same time, they failed to make any
meaningful, long-lasting accomplishments. It's likely that this will be the
last "casual day" for the Inquisition for a long time.
Jessica Judd and Stormy Weathers appeared that they were about to agree
to work together, but when a failed attempt at interference by Crimson costed
Jessica Judd the match, Stormy reconsidered. That was a bad move, as Crimson
and the Road Girl, on Jessica Judd's command, laid into Stormy Weathers, Bretta
"The Barmaid" Biffcork, and the Super Giant Ninja. So much for the potential of
an alliance between VCW's Southern wrestlers.
In other lower-card news that nobody cares about, the Hunk Higgins-Ruby
Richard Cage feud has heated up to an all-time high lukewarm level, as Hunk
Higgins accepted the challenge made by Ruby Richard Cage for a match at Random
Casualties, and even decided to make it a cage match... since a cage would
already be used once on the pay-per-view, why not twice? Anyway, David Wright
Hubbard came to the ring and annihilated him... so obviously it's business as
usual for Hunk Higgins today.
The Bull Moose Party, with an unimpressive win over the Oriental
Express, are going into Random Casualties to challenge the Immortals in a match
where the winning team becomes the number-one contenders for the VCW World Tag
Team Titles... and will probably get a title shot on an episode of VCW Monday
Night Wrestling soon after the Big Fight.
Speaking of title shots, Tim Bell has given one to Devaccio Pola at
Random Casualties in spite of the fact that they are going to be partners in
the tournament. Tim Bell takes obvious pride in being a fighting champion...
but this is taking it to an extreme. It's nice to see a wrestler who enjoys his
work so much... and the resulting match at Random Casualties will likely be
excellent as well, provided that the tournament doesn't take too much out of
both men beforehand. In the meantime, he soundly defeated Rex Richards tonight
to retain his title.
In addition to Gabriel Black throwing out a multitude of challenges and
threats to Richard Tobian, Falcon, and "the bald-headed WWF champion", David
Wright Hubbard had a few comments of his own... the first being a suggestion
for a battle royal next week among all of the lower-card guys in VCW for an
Intercontinental Title shot later in the show, and the second being a promise
that his cage match against Melissa DelArmeggio at Random Casualties will be
especially brutal. The first suggestion has been taken seriously by VCW
Commissioner James Lockman, and will take place next week. The second one
should be taken as a very serious potential threat to Melissa DelArmeggio's
career... a match that is brutal by the standards of a man who repeatedly has
attacked her with chairs and a belt is a scary thought.
The Wrecking Crew and Hell's Bikers squared off in a match that both
teams hoped would be a return to the ultra-violent style of brawling that they
love so well... a Baseball Bat on a Pole match. Unfortunately, the Beautiful
People decided to take revenge for their recent loss to the Wrecking Crew, and
did so by helping Hell's Bikers to win the match by tossing a second baseball
bat into the mix. They went on to challenge the Wrecking Crew to an Indecent
Exposure match... which the ultra-macho Wrecking Crew surprisingly accepted
readily. The censors will have to work overtime that night, I guess.
Richard Tobian and Melissa DelArmeggio put aside their personal
differences to wrestle a damn good tag team match together, defeating the
Manhunters with a vicious elbowdrop through a table. It's almost too bad they
aren't on the same team more often... they really cleaned house. This was just
another big loss for the Inquisition tonight, on what was supposed to be a
great night for them.
Gabriel Black laughed when it was revealed that WWF Lightheavyweight
Champion Gillberg was his opponent, but he wasn't laughing long, as Gillberg
speared him, hit the Jackhammer on him, and very nearly beat him. Gabriel
Black rebounded and destroyed Gillberg shortly, but it was still a humiliating
moment. Referee James Applebee gave Gillberg a slow count, to be sure...
obviously, if he had allowed the title to change hands, he would no longer have
been employed by VCW, knowing James Lockman's idea of justice.
Next week should be a big show as well... top VCW stars such as Troy
Black, Falcon, DeJohnnyration X, and the Golden Society will be present, as
will the Ontario Color Show and many other VCW stars. Join us then, as VCW's
final show before Random Casualties goes on the air and the superstars of VCW
do battle once again!!
