Match observations:

Tonight, as VCW came to the San Diego Sports Arena, VCW was home to the
usual chaos, and then some. Just a little under three weeks away from Survival
of the Fittest, the continuation of the tournament is just one of many things
shaping what should be one of the pivotal moments in the direction of the
future of VCW.
DeJohnnyration X is all but a non-entity in VCW at this point, as Marty
Jannetty pretty much sealed the demise of the group by sending Johnny Smiles
through the plate glass window of a barber shop, in one of the more ironic
moments in wrestling history. On top of that, Virginia is having problems of
her own with the Inquisition's Torturer... it looks like DeJohnnyration X might
be a thing of the past after tonight.
The Annihilators' rivalry with the Immortals reached unheard-of levels
of craziness when the Immortals attempted to ambush the Annihilators with cream
pies. To make the situation even more absurd, their plan failed, and the
Immortals ended up hitting their Head Cheerleader, Nicole, with the pies
instead. This has certainly given their feud a new, interesting twist, as both
teams continue on their way to a now-confirmed two-out-of-three falls match at
Survival of the Fittest.
Jessica Judd made a startling announcement tonight, stating that not
only would she accept Marylin Silvera's challenge to an Evening Gown Match at
Survival of the Fittest, but also that she was so confident of winning that she
wouldn't wear any underwear beneath the Evening Gown. Needless to say, many of
VCW's fans are hoping that her confidence is misplaced.
Jessica Judd's roadie, Crimson, also made news tonight. When the
Torturer attacked Virginia during her match with Jessica Judd, Crimson
retaliated by attacking the Torturer, laying him out with a shot from Jessica
Judd's guitar. He went on to warn any member of the Inquisition who wanted to
hurt Jessica (as the Torturer had done months ago) of the fate that awaited
them if they did, and stormed out of the ring. Jessica Judd didn't seem to
share Crimson's sentiments, evidently not wanting a conflict to arise between
Crimson and the Inquisition. At this point, it might be too late for that.
Neytron DelArmeggio and Jacob Idol advanced past the first round in the
Survival of the Fittest Tournament, which now looks like this:

Next week's matches will feature Troy Black against the Torturer, and Johnny
Smiles (if he is able to compete after being attacked by Marty Jannetty)
against Marylin Silvera. If Johnny Smiles is not fit to compete next week,
Marylin Silvera may be given a bye to the quarter-finals, or an alternate
opponent.
The Ontario Color Show continued to fight their way to the top of the
VCW tag team scene, earning a victory in the books against Hell's Bikers. In
reality, this victory was a little hard for them to enjoy, because Paul Canyon
was laid out by Hell's Bikers' manager/accomplice, Dick Douglas, who entered
the ring and nailed him with a crowbar to cause a disqualification. Hell's
Bikers are also lobbying hard for a match against the Wrecking Crew in some
sort of hardcore situation at Survival of the Fittest... considering the waves
that they've been making in VCW lately, they may get it.
For their part, the Wrecking Crew are still standing strong on top of
the VCW tag team division, defending the VCW World Tag Team Titles against the
former champions, the team that they won the titles from at Blood and Thunder,
the Manhunters. Every team in VCW currently has their sights set on winning the
titles away from the Wrecking Crew, but at this point, it's hard to picture
that happening.
David Wright Hubbard came to the ring tonight and had some strong
threats for the Inquisition, after they savagely turned on him two weeks ago.
Rex Richards, for some completely unknown reason, must have thought that he
could get away with coming to the ring and telling David Wright Hubbard exactly
what he and the rest of the Inquisition thought of him... and the expected
results followed shortly. A match broke out between them, and David Wright
Hubbard manhandled Rex Richards before putting him through a table with a power
bomb to get a quick victory.
Chris Champlain had some words for everyone in VCW near the beginning of
the show. Revealing himself to be even more twisted and depraved than anybody
suspected, he went into great detail telling everyone how much he enjoyed
injuring Rob Solomon, and how much he was looking forward to injuring someone
else. He ended his speech with an open challenge, which Falcon accepted. The
resulting, brutal Falls-Count-Anywhere Match finally ended when a failed
attempt by Chris Champlain to put Falcon through a table ended in a victory for
Falcon... but it certainly wasn't an easy one. With his newly sadistic,
aggressive approach to his matches, Chris Champlain is definitely a very
dangerous opponent.
Early in the show, Rex Richards and "Earl", a member of the VCW ring
crew, were shown making a phone call under very suspicious circumstances. The
more observant VCW fans saw what was happening... but everybody knew by the end
of the night just what that phone call was all about. After easily putting away
Rushmore, Gabriel Black revealed to everyone just what the nature of those
phone calls were, as the Torturer was shown brutalizing Katherine, Richard
Tobian's girlfriend, on the ViolenTron. While this may cause some VCW wrestlers
to think twice before crossing Gabriel Black, it also definitely ensures that
Richard Tobian will be out for blood when he wrestles Gabriel Black at Survival
of the Fittest.
At next week's show, as the dust settles from the chaos today, it may
become more clear where everybody stands going into Survival of the Fittest.
The final matches of the first round of the tournament will take place, and
many of VCW's top stars will be present, including Lance Errington, Marylin
Silvera, Moy Lazzario, Devaccio Pola, and many more! Come on back and join us
next week for VCW Monday Night Wrestling!!
