Match observations:

Tonight, less than two weeks away from Survival of the Fittest, things
are really heating up and getting personal, especially in the main event scene.
All across the face of VCW, wrestlers appear to be beginning new rivalries,
rekindling old rivalries, or just adding more heat to existing fires, even from
the beginning of the show.
When the Ontario Color Show set their sights on the VCW World Tag Team
Titles a few weeks ago, it was expected that one of the teams of VCW would rise
up to get in their way. Tonight, the Manhunters, the former VCW World Tag Team
Champions, took exception to the Ontario Color Show's intentions. Their
unofficial spokesman, Rex Richards, stated that as the former champions, the
Manhunters should get another title shot before the Ontario Color Show. That
point is debatable, since the Manhunters just lost a rematch to the Wrecking
Crew last week, but it hasn't stopped the match from being signed; the Ontario
Color Show will meet the Manhunters at Survival of the Fittest.
Lance Errington, still in the tournament, plans to settle his long-
standing grudges against Falcon as he wins the tournament, by going through
Devaccio Pola to get to Falcon. Going through Devaccio Pola is never easy, but
it may help Lance Errington that the VCW Television Champion seems more intent
on avenging the injury of his friend, Rob Solomon, at the hands of Chris
Champlain than winning the Survival of the Fittest tournament.
Lance Errington's fellow Golden Society member Dean Sanders, who is out
of the tournament after losing to Devaccio Pola, also decided to rekindle an
old challenge by extending an invitation to Tim Bell for a two-out-of-three
falls match at Survival of the Fittest. Though the Golden Society and the
Technicians have recently been in bitter competition to prove which is the
better team, this rivalry goes back even further, when Dean Sanders and Tim
Bell had a series of very personal matches shortly after Wrestlewar.
Virginia has more than the Torturer to worry about now... after his
shocking attack on Johnny Smiles last week, Marty Jannetty seemed dedicated to
making her life miserable as well tonight. Despite Virginia's impressive
strength and wrestling skill, Marty's vastly superior ring experience proved to
be the difference maker tonight, when he countered the Spinebuster into a
Rocker Dropper for the victory.
Of course, Troy Black and the Torturer have nothing but hatred for each
other... and it should come as no surprise that they were both delighted to
beat the hell out of each other for twenty straight minutes. Finally, Troy
Black was able to somehow overcome his much larger opponent, putting him away
with the Black Dagger and advancing in the Survival of the Fittest tournament.
Though Troy Black went through twenty minutes of hell to earn his place
in the second round of the Survival of the Fittest Tournament, Marylin Silvera
had a much easier time defeating Haigeikobai, who was randomly chosen to
replace Johnny Smiles. Due to the results of these last two first round
matches, the tournament brackets now look like this:

The second round matches, consisting of Lance Errington versus Devaccio Pola,
Jacob Idol against Neytron DelArmeggio, and Troy Black against Marylin Silvera,
will take place on next week's installment of VCW Monday Night Wrestling.
"Stone Cold" Moy Lazzario isn't quite the toughest S-O-B in Violent
Championship Wrestling, but he did give Devaccio Pola a run for his money in a
Television Title defense tonight. Moy Lazzario is expected to face former
Inquisition member David Wright Hubbard at Survival of the Fittest, while
Devaccio Pola will face Chris Champlain in a Hardcore Cage match, in addition
to a part in the Survival of the Fittest tournament if he defeats Lance
Errington next week.
Tonight we saw more of the same from Gabriel Black... he is overflowing
with confidence in his ability to defeat Richard Tobian, and doesn't mind
telling everybody. There is definitely a lot of credibility to his claims, as
he led the Manhunters to a victory over Liberation X tonight in the six man tag
team match main event. But he'd be a fool to look past Richard Tobian,
considering the borderline insane mental state that Richard Tobian is in right
now. Gabriel Black may be facing more than threats to his title reign at
Survival of the Fittest... the way Richard Tobian is talking, he's facing
threats to his physical health as well.
Next week's show will determine the final four participants in the
Survival of the Fittest tournament. Lance Errington will face Devaccio Pola,
Jacob Idol will take on Neytron DelArmeggio, and Troy Black will wrestle
Marylin Silvera, for the priviledge of advancing to the semi-finals of the
Survival of the Fittest tournament. Also, we're expected to hear comments from
Johnny Smiles, and many of VCW's top stars will be present, as we head in to
Survival of the Fittest. Don't miss a minute of the great action from Violent
Championship Wrestling!!
