Match observations:

Tonight's show, one night removed from Survival of the Fittest, has
really set the pace for the future of VCW. Some old feuds were ended, some
were continued, and some new rivalries have only just started. VCW's next pay-
per-view, Horror Show, is over a month away on October seventeenth, but the
rivalries that are brewing in anticipation of that event are already getting
pretty hot.
The Immortals were the first to jump on the pay-per-view challenge
bandwagon. After mopping the floor with Russel challenged the Annihilators to
yet ANOTHER rematch, making it the third pay-per-view encounter between the
two teams since Blood and Thunder. This time, the Immortals have promised
victory, saying that all three of them, including their Head Cheerleader,
Nicole, would wear a dress if they lost... somehow overlooking the fact that
Nicole already wears dresses regularly. They're a little confused, but they do
seem ready to give the Annihilators another good fight.
The Boise Triad lost AGAIN... and this time, sadly, to the Public
Enemy. It really hurts to admit that the Public Enemy are undefeated, with two
wins in VCW... but they haven't exactly faced top competition. The talk
backstage is that the Boise Triad considers this to be the final insult, the
last straw, so to speak... and that they're planning to do something drastic.
Then again, nobody takes them seriously anyway, with good reason... they'll
probably just do something dumb that involves losing a match.
Falcon certainly didn't have any trouble keeping busy tonight. In
addition to a congratulation speech for Troy Black's Survival of the Fittest
win last night (which came at Falcon's expense), and a confrontation with
Haigeikobai that can only be called a match in the technical sense of the word,
he also acted as the referee for the title match tonight at Richard Tobian's
request. That entire incident wouldn't end well, as we would all find out later
in the show.
Gabriel Black was also a busy man tonight... in addition to defending
the title, he had some very nasty words for Jessica Judd, in addition to a
nasty punishment... she would wrestle the Torturer tonight, and pass out before
submitting. Crimson didn't like that idea, however; he ended up mauling the
Torturer, and though he saved Jessica Judd from the Torture Rack in the
process, she didn't seem too appreciative of his efforts. It's a good bed that
Gabriel Black will have some consequences in mind for Crimson.
The other member of Jessica Judd's entourage, the Road Girl, was seen
talking to Paul Canyon backstage. Is this important? Should we care? At first,
this looks like a totally insignificant development, but with all of the chaos
and controversy that seems to follow Jessica Judd these days, who can say for
sure?
Speaking of Paul Canyon, the Ontario Color Show really brought the house
down with a great match against the Golden Society's Dean Sanders and Neytron
DelArmeggio tonight. Unfortunately, they ended up losing due to some outside
interference by Lady Erica Whitmore... right after Owen Addison had vowed to
make an example for the other members of the Technicians to follow. For what
it's worth, Tim Bell later followed his example, losing a match to Troy Black,
much to the disappointment of Owen Addison, who seems to be trying to get the
Technicians back on a winning, productive track.
Marty Jannetty has a new girlfriend and manager in Sensational Sherri,
thus completing his Shawn Michaels rip-off gimmick. He called out Johnny Smiles
for a rematch, certain that Sherri would make a difference in the match
outcome, as she in fact did, by causing Marty to lose via disqualification
instead of pinfall. One of the more interesting developments of that situation
was that Sherri and Virginia got into a fight after that match, where Sherri
tried to take off Virginia's halter top. Fortunately (or unfortunately,
depending how you look at it), she failed.
Richard Tobian, early in the show, came out to demand another shot at
Gabriel Black's VCW World Title, claiming for the second time that he had been
cheated by the referee. His claim this time was pretty much as unfounded as his
last claim, and James Lockman told him as much, denying his title shot. Gabriel
Black changed that, however, granting Richard Tobian a title shot in a steel
cage, with his choice of referee. But that didn't work out so well after all,
as Richard Tobian started a fight with Falcon, his chosen referee, after
Gabriel Black kicked out of the Fisherman Suplex and Tobian accused Falcon of a
slow count. Richard Tobian started that fight, but Falcon ended it decisively
with the Superkick... then had no choice but to count Richard Tobian down when
Gabriel Black pinned him.
This certainly spells the end of Richard Tobian's status as a World
Title contender for the forseeable future, as Gabriel Black told him that this
was his final title shot. Instead, Gabriel Black can look forward to David
Wright Hubbard and Crimson, both of whom want a shot at him, and if he makes it
to Wrestlewar II, his brother Troy Black.
Next week's edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling should also be a good
show. David Wright Hubbard, Lance Errington, Devaccio Pola, and the VCW World
Tag Team Champions, the Wrecking Crew, will all be present. Join us for all of
the action and excitement next week on the next edition of VCW Monday Night
Wrestling!!
