Match observations:
Tonight, as VCW Monday Night Wrestling originated from the Market Square
Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana, many of VCW's most dangerous men made their
intentions in the coming weeks clear, and without exception, they were all
violent and vindicative. In the weeks between now and Horror Show, many of
VCW's top superstars seem intent on starting new rivalries and shooting for new
goals.
Even the Boise Triad seems a little more ambitious; Bunyan and Wham Bam
Gigolo finally got fed up with losing every match that they're in, and took
action against Ruby Richard Cage, who they perceive to be the source of their
problem. They left him laying on the mat today... but somehow it seems doubtful
that they'll have much success even without him by their sides.
Though one would think that Moy Lazzario would have learned his lesson
after being beaten to a pulp by David Wright Hubbard at Survival of the
Fittest, he's at it again. This time, his next target is Devaccio Pola, and he
wants a match for the VCW Television Title at Horror Show. This looks like it
could be interesting, since both Devaccio Pola and Moy Lazzario are technical
and high-flying wrestlers who have recently started falling back more and more
on brawling... but it's plain, so far, that Devaccio Pola has had more luck
than Moy Lazzario.
Marylin Silvera called out Crimson to avenge the aftermath of the
Evening Gown Match at Survival of the Fittest, and ended up repeating that
episode, as he was quickly and brutally taken apart by Crimson. After disposing
of Marylin Silvera, Crimson was quick to challenge David Wright Hubbard,
Gabriel Black, and the Torturer to matches or brawls at their earliest
convenience... a challenge that David Wright Hubbard went on to accept for next
week's installment of VCW Monday Night Wrestling.
The plot thickens in the feud between the Annihilators and the
Immortals, which STILL isn't finished, as the two teams agreed to meet at
Horror Show with the stipulation that if the Immortals lose, then they will
wrestle each other in an Evening Gown Match the next night on VCW Monday Night
Wrestling. The Immortals screwed the Annihilators out of a chance to win the
VCW World Tag Team Titles tonight, and in the process earned their own shot at
the Wrecking Crew. But the opportunity to get into the ring with the Wrecking
Crew isn't always something desirable, and the Immortals may find out why next
week.
Prior to a rematch with Devaccio Pola, Chris Champlain challenged Rob
Solomon to a Hockey Stick Ladder and Cage Match at Horror Show, assuming that
he'd answer when he returns to active in-ring competition in two weeks. Much to
everyone's surprise, he didn't have to wait that long, as Rob Solomon came out,
knocked him senseless with a blow from his hockey stick, and accepted the
challenge in dramatic and violent fashion.
On another note, the Evening Gown Match pitting Virginia against Marty
Jannetty's new girlfriend, Sensational Sherri, featured a good deal of action.
It also featured partial nudity, when Virginia's breasts were accidentally
exposed in the course of the match. VCW management would like to stress that
this was an accident, that we are sorry for any offense or trouble that this
may have caused, and that we will do our best to ensure that this sort of
inappropriate material is not shown in future VCW television broadcasts.
Virginia ended up overpowering Sherri and winning the match, but Sherri scored
a moral victory by being the only combatant in this match to keep her bra on
the whole time.
Jacob Idol publicly announced the breakup of the Technicians, to very
mixed reactions from the fans. Some liked the decision, and some hated it...
but pretty much everybody hates Lance Errington, who showed us why by not only
interrupting Jacob Idol's statements to insult him, but also by insulting the
fans in attendance. The fact that his next target is Troy Black doesn't endear
him to many fans either... nor does it appear to sit well with Lady Erica
Whitmore, who evidently feels that Lance Errington shouldn't fight Troy Black.
She claims she has full confidence in Lance Errington's abilities to win, but
let's face it... Troy Black has been running over everybody in his path lately,
and it'll be hard for Lance Errington to stop him.
David Wright Hubbard didn't have much to say early on in the show, but
he had plenty on his mind later, when he not only accepted Crimson's challenge
to a match next week, but he also challenged Gabriel Black to put the VCW World
Title up against him at Horror Show. Something about being expelled from the
Inquisition really lit a fire under David Wright Hubbard, and it was certainly
evident tonight with his intense words and the way in which he tore into
Inquisition member Bass Rogers in the main event of the night.
Next week, Violent Championship Wrestling makes its triumphant return to
the VCW Arena in California, and the card is positively stacked. The Immortals
will challenge the Wrecking Crew for the VCW World Tag Team Titles. David
Wright Hubbard will go one on one with Crimson. And many of the biggest names
in VCW will be present, including Troy Black, Falcon, Richard Tobian, and VCW
World Champion Gabriel Black. Don't you dare miss this next breath-taking
edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling!!!
