Match observations:
Since next week's edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling will be pre-
empted by the blockbuster premiere of Schala: Warrior Temptress, many of VCW's
superstars pulled out all the stops tonight, playing trump cards and taking
every advantage they could to gain the upper hand against their rivals.
Considering that we're only a little under three weeks away from the next VCW
pay-per-view, Horror Show, and one of those weeks will be without an episode of
VCW Monday Night Wrestling, tonight was one of the last opportunities that
VCW's wrestlers will have to get ready for the pay-per-view.
Even Ruby Richard Cage made plans for the pay-per-view tonight; he
challenged his former friends in the Boise Triad to a Loser-Leaves-Town match
at Horror Show against himself and a mystery partner. It's unknown who his
mystery partner will be, but if it's anybody with any sort of wrestling ability
at all, the Boise Triad should be worried; after all, they themselves don't
have any real ability.
The former Road Girl, who is lately going by her real name, Jennie, has
also made plans for a match at the pay-per-view, against former employer
Jessica Judd. If Jessica wins this match, Jennie will continue to serve her as
the Road Girl... but if Jennie wins, Jessica has said that she will retire from
active wrestling competition. However, there's not much chance of a victory by
Jennie happening... Jessica is a trained, skilled wrestler, while, judging by
her lack of skills demonstrated in her one previous match, Jennie isn't.
Her new friends, the Ontario Color Show, also have issues to settle at
Horror Show. It seems like they're not done with Hell's Bikers yet... at least,
that's what one would think from Owen Addison's interference in their match
against the Golden Society tonight. In any case, Hell's Bikers are clamoring
for a match against the Ontario Color Show after tonight's events... and that
could very well happen, since both teams have something to prove at this point.
Rob Solomon is back, and ready to get a measure of revenge on Chris
Champlain for his previous injury at the Hockey Stick Ladder and Cage Match
that the two of them have agreed upon as a match for Horror Show. A lot of
people seem to think Chris Champlain will be beaten to a bloody pulp in this
match, but then again, the same was said about him in the Hardcore Cage Match
against Devaccio Pola, and he held his own there.
The Annihilators finally got a fair shot at the Wrecking Crew tonight,
in a two out of three falls match, but they came up short, losing two falls to
one. Unfortunately, this grueling match against the Wrecking Crew may have left
them at less than full strength for their later brawl with the Golden Society,
which may explain why the Golden Society made such short work of them in that
brawl.
The aforementioned brawl started when Lance Errington, after losing to
Tim Bell after misguided interference from Lady Erica Whitmore, proceeded to
attack her. After an especially brutal chairshot, Troy Black ran in somewhat
reluctantly to save her, but ended up taking a beating when Lady Erica Whitmore
turned on him, revealing that the entire relationship was a set-up... which,
admittedly, Troy Black already seemed to have suspected. The Annihilators, who
urged Troy to come to the rescue in the first place, tried to come to the
rescue themselves, but were beaten up by the Golden Society as well. Troy took
quite a bit of punishment from the Golden Society, but not only was he somehow
able to walk away from the beating, but he even recovered in time to challenge
the Golden Society to a six-man tag team match against himself and the
Annihilators in two weeks on the next edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling.
Still, Lance Errington showed us that, under the proper circumstances, he can
get the better of Troy Black.
David Wright Hubbard demonstrated the same thing about Gabriel Black.
After defeating the Torturer tonight, he still wasn't satisfied with his
situation, and later came back to attack Gabriel Black after his match with
Devaccio Pola. David Wright Hubbard destroyed Gabriel Black as nobody before
him has, laying him out with a Flying Cross Bodypress through a table on the
outside of the ring. As the show ended, Gabriel Black was left lying on the
floor, barely moving... something that has seldom if ever been seen before in
VCW. Coming immediately after Gabriel Black's declaration that nobody could
ever beat him, this has to shake Gabriel's confidence going into the title
match against David Wright Hubbard at Horror Show.
Next week, as you know, VCW Monday Night Wrestling will be pre-empted by
the star-studded movie, Schala: Warrior Temptress. Wrestling fans can look
forward to seeing some old favorites in the cast. But in two weeks, VCW Monday
Night Wrestling returns, with more of the great action you've come to expect
from VCW, including a six man tag team match involving members of the Golden
Society against Troy Black and the Annihilators! Join us, in two weeks time,
for the return of Violent Championship Wrestling!!
