Match observations:

VCW's first-ever pay-per-view extravaganza, Wrestlewar, has come and
gone, and it was indeed a night of major events, a night in which many of VCW's
wrestlers rose to the occasion or dropped the ball. From the VCW Waste-Of-Time
to the climax of the epic Gabriel Black/Falcon confrontation, every match had
its own unique character, good or bad, and every wrestler managed to stand out
from the crowd.
Even the Waste-Of-Time had its moments, as members of VCW's undercard
managed to distinguish themselves. While Neytron delivered a mild surprise with
his quick squash of Devaccio Pola, the real shock would come later when Tuxedo
and the Middle-Aged Outlaws surprised everybody with efficient, decisive
victories over established wrestlers... Rex Richards proved that he is no
better off in a Table Match than he is in a regular match in the "main event"
of the Waste-Of-Time, and Rob Solomon showed who the true master of the Katana
Legdrop is with his victory over the 7'2" Super Giant Ninja.
Hell's Bikers are starting to climb in status in the tag team ratings
after an absolutely brutal battle with the Wrecking Crew, which pitted the two
most hardcore tag teams in VCW against one another in a match where the ropes
were replaced by barbed wire. The Annihilators were also successful, pulling
off a mild upset against the Inquisition's Manhunters, who until now were
regarded as one of the top three teams in VCW. Both teams are coming into
contention for a title shot against the new VCW World Tag Team Champions, the
Ontario Color Show, who were victorious over the Golden Society, winning the
VCW World Tag Team Titles for a second time.
Lance Errington, still unfocused and confused, was unable to keep a
steady offense up against Bass Rogers... and his heart didn't appear to be in
the match, which culminated in him mysteriously leaving the ring for a countout
loss, allowing Bass Rogers to retain the title. Bass Rogers will defend the
title against Richard Tobian, who against all odds defeated David Wright
Hubbard in a classic conflict of technical wrestling masters.
Revenge was on the minds of many VCW wrestlers tonight, right from the
pitiful attempt by Rex Richards to avenge Johnny Smiles's victories over David
Wright Hubbard. Jacob Idol was more successful in his bid for revenge against
Marylin Silvera, whose interference ruined his Television Title shot, and
Melissa DelArmeggio, one of the biggest success stories of the night, not only
avenged her mistreatment at Moy Lazzario's hands with a clean victory, but
wrestled a decent match in the process, turning a lot of heads in VCW.
Revenge was also the objective of the Torturer, who was still obviously
furious over Troy Black's attack on him several weeks ago. He achieved his goal
of revenge in a long, brutal conflict with Troy Black, finally overpowering his
smaller adversary, despite Troy's incredible resilience. He paid a terrible
price for his revenge, however, for as he continued to torture Troy Black after
winning the match, Melissa DelArmeggio stole the wooden axe handle and leapt
from ten to twelve feet in the air to break it over his head, hospitalizing him
with severe head trauma. For the first time, both Troy Black and the VCW fans
seemed to accept Melissa DelArmeggio, but she seemed to notice neither, as she
was only concerned with what she had done to the Torturer.
This only fueled Gabriel Black's anger towards the rest of VCW, which he
channelled into a furious, devestating offense against Falcon in one of the
best matches yet in VCW, and the best match of the night for certain. After
nearly a half-hour of great wrestling from both men, Gabriel Black connected
with the Destiny Hammer on the founder of the newly-proclaimed Liberation X for
the victory and the VCW Title.
