Match observations:
There were a lot of questions still lingering in the air tonight after
the fallout from Horror Show a little over a week ago. Which side was Falcon
really on? Who was the woman who attacked Richard Tobian a week ago? And who
would be next to rise to the occasion and challenge Gabriel Black for the VCW
World Title? We found out the answers tonight, but they didn't come without a
price.
Haigeikobai had a special Halloween show for us tonight, and Stormy
Weathers promised a mystery opponent for Haigeikobai at Spontaneous Combustion.
It's tempting not to care, but it makes you wonder what kind of opponent could
top the unlikely appearance of Peter McNeely at Horror Show.
Lance Errington's challenge to Gabriel Black tonight seemed to be just
another one of many challenges to Gabriel recently, but after tonight, it's
looking a lot more likely. Lance Errington scored a big win over the Torturer
tonight, which puts him a lot closer to a shot at Gabriel Black from the start.
If not an upset, this outcome certainly wasn't a foregone conclusion; the
Torturer holds victories over wrestlers the caliber of Richard Tobian and Troy
Black. Even Gabriel Black acknowledged tonight that Lance Errington may be one
of the most credible challengers for his title.
In other Golden Society news, Neytron DelArmeggio seems upset about the
fast progress Crimson is making towards the top of VCW, and sent Tuxedo to stop
him. That didn't end well for the Golden Society. Neither did a six-man tag
team match against the Technicians, where the Golden Society was once again
defeated after nearly a half-hour of great wrestling from both teams. After
that match, Owen Addison was the next to extend a challenge to Gabriel Black.
He talked big, but he doesn't have the singles wrestling credentials to deserve
a title shot just yet.
One tag team that is getting close to earning a title shot is the
Manhunters, who followed up a big win in a six-man tag team match where they
defeated the Wrecking Crew with a clean victory over the Annihilators tonight.
Considering that the Wrecking Crew is the team that won the titles from the
Manhunters in the first place, it seems like the Manhunters are looking for a
rematch against the champions with a different outcome this time.
It looks like DeJohnnyration X is back to normal again, after the feud
with Marty Jannetty. Is throwing eggs and toilet paper at your boss's house
really such a good idea, though?
But far and away, the show was stolen tonight by the power games of the
Inquisition and their opponents. Gabriel Black surprised everybody by revealing
that the woman who had helped him last week was, in fact, his sister, Rebecca
Black. In addition to that, Richard Tobian secured himself a shot at Troy
Black's Wrestlewar title shot by offering his alliance as Troy's tag team
partner tonight against Bass Rogers and Gabriel Black. But beyond the apparent
situation, another factor came into play.
That factor was Falcon. The whole world found out that, surprisingly
enough, Richard Tobian had been right from the beginning. Falcon is a member of
the Inquisition, and if his actions which cost Richard Tobian and Troy Black
their match didn't speak loud enough, it became crystal clear when he joined
Bass Rogers and Gabriel Black in attacking Troy Black, folding a chair across
his face with a Superkick and a legdrop, and causing him serious injury in the
process. This adds new dimensions to his growing feud with David Wright Hubbard,
and it certainly re-opens old wounds from past rivalries with Richard Tobian and
Troy Black. The Inquisition has suddenly grown a lot stronger, and their
opposition is suddenly much weaker.
Well, for the time being it looks like most of the cards are on the
table. But where will the situation go from here? A lot of changes are expected
to take place between tonight and Spontaneous Combustion. Next week's edition
of VCW Monday Night Wrestling will feature top stars like David Wright Hubbard,
Falcon, Devaccio Pola, and the VCW World Tag Team Champions, the Wrecking Crew.
Make sure that you don't miss any of the action on our next edition of VCW
Monday Night Wrestling!
