Match observations:

As we continue down the road to Wrestlewar, it would seem that the
rivalries in VCW are getting more intense by the minute. Gabriel Black and Troy
Black, Falcon and David Wright Hubbard, Dean Sanders and Lance Errington, Rob
Solomon and Neytron DelArmeggio... all of the most bitter feuds in VCW are
coming to a boil. Some of these rivalries have been ongoing for the past year,
while others have flared up within the past couple months... but all of them
seem to be ready to explode at Wrestlewar.
After being treated to the sight of the Super Giant Ninja and Russel
Taylor getting beaten to a pulp, we've come to understand some of the motives
behind Dean Sanders's interference in Lance Errington's match last week. With
Lady Erica Whitmore now in the arms of Gabriel Black, the Golden Society is
finished... and Dean Sanders blames Lance Errington for it. They agreed to a
one-on-one match that took place tonight, but even after tonight it's a good
bet that their issues aren't over.
It didn't take Chris Champlain very long to find a way to occupy his
time after the death of the Golden Society. Dressed in a dark robe, he emerged
from the crowd after Virginia's match tonight and attacked her with an iron
mace for seemingly no reason. Chris Champlain has always shown signs of being
mentally and emotionally unstable, but without the Golden Society to reign his
erratic behavior in, it looks like he could be even more dangerous than he has
been before.
Speaking of people who are dangerous... Crimson's trail of casualties
continues this week with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. Though Neidhart is a large,
powerful man in his own right, he wasn't the man to stop Crimson tonight. At
this point, it doesn't look like anybody can stop Crimson in the forseeable
future... though depending on who responds to his open challenge to face
anybody in any kind of match at Wrestlewar, that could change abruptly. Crimson
remains untested against some of VCW's upper echelon of wrestlers... would he
have such an easy time with David Wright Hubbard or Troy Black?
As if seeing his girlfriend attacked by Chris Champlain wasn't enough,
Johnny Smiles also had more problems tonight thanks to Moy Lazzario. Seeking
revenge for his humiliation last week at the hands of Johnny Smiles in a Santa
Claus disguise, Moy Lazzario goaded Johnny Smiles into facing his own "Santa
Claus". Johnny found out too late that this was the Torturer in disguise, and
Moy Lazzario gained a measure of revenge by seeing the Torturer defeat Johnny
Smiles tonight. It's still a good bet that this issue is far from over.
The issue between Neytron DelArmeggio and Rob Solomon also heated up
tonight after their match, as Rob Solomon defeated Neytron tonight, evening up
the score from Deck the Halls. Since it was a non-title match, Neytron remains
the VCW Television Champion, but this has to be a collosal blow to his pride.
It wouldn't be a bit surprising to see another meeting between these two men to
settle the score once and for all in the near future... perhaps even a match at
Wrestlewar.
Another page was written in one of VCW's oldest rivalries tonight, as
Rebecca Black gave her perspective on the upcoming match between her brothers,
Troy and Gabriel Black. She also gave Troy a Casket Match tonight against Bass
Rogers, perhaps hoping to soften him up or eliminate him entirely from being
able to compete at Wrestlewar. That plan didn't appear to work; though Bass
Rogers used his size and power to stay in control for most of the match, Troy
Black just wouldn't stay down, and ended up closing the casket on Bass Rogers
and winning the match.
The match between Lance Errington and Dean Sanders was truly a test of
the wrestling ability of both men, and its ending surprised many people. Though
Lance Errington is often thought of as the most devious wrestler in VCW, he
fell victim to a dirty trick by Dean Sanders tonight, as he was knocked out
with a pair of brass knuckles and pinned. Many people would consider this an
upset, but Dean Sanders brought up a very good point earlier tonight: nobody
has really seen what Lance Errington and Dean Sanders can do against each
other. It's a good bet that this rivalry isn't over by any means; a match at
Wrestlewar to settle this issue is not only a possibility, but almost definite
at this point.
After a cooling-off period in the weeks leading up to Deck the Halls,
the conflict between Falcon and David Wright Hubbard is back, as strong as
ever, and it's building up for Wrestlewar. Tonight, they met in a six-man tag
team match with the Manhunters and the Annihilators, and Falcon pinned David
Wright Hubbard with a little help from Rebecca Black. But we know for a fact
that this feud isn't over; Falcon and David Wright Hubbard have already agreed
to a cage match at Wrestlewar. David Wright Hubbard has a documented reputation
of being dangerous in cage matches, but how will Falcon fare against him? This
should be an especially interesting aspect of Wrestlewar.
Next week, the road to Wrestlewar continues, as VCW presents another
edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling. VCW World Champion Gabriel Black will be
in action, as will the VCW World Tag Team Champions, the Wrecking Crew. Also,
all four of the men involved in the controversial matches that took place last
week, Jacob Idol, Tim Bell, Paul Canyon, and Julian Page, will be present next
week, and it's a good bet that there will be some confrontations over the
events that took place in those matches last week. Make sure you join us for
all the great action when VCW presents yet another episode of VCW Monday Night
Wrestling next week!!
