Match observations:

Wrestlewar is still a little under four weeks away. Tonight, the second
show of the year in VCW, there was a lot of business left unfinished, and a lot
of new conflicts that just erupted during this very show. As Wrestlewar draws
nearer, and many matches that have been several months, maybe even a year in
the making, become evident on the horizon, there are a lot of people in VCW who
are eager to gain the upper hand in an existing feuds, or perhaps use
Wrestlewar as a springboard to change the direction of their careers. A lot of
unknown plans and future events were also revealed the night, and the stage for
Wrestlewar is becoming more completely set with every passing week.
After demolishing the Middle-Aged Outlaws in a short match tonight,
Hell's Bikers revealed why they had brought their partner from Wrestlewar, the
One Man Gang, to the ring with them tonight. It seems that the One Man Gang,
while at Deck the Halls about two weeks ago, had seen what Crimson was capable
of doing and decided to find out for himself just how tough Crimson truly was.
Crimson, as it turned out, was happy to demonstrate for him, and five minutes
later, the One Man Gang was flat on his back as the latest victim of Crimson's
unstoppable power.
If there is one thing in VCW that can stop Crimson, however, Gabriel
Black may have found it tonight. Tonight, Gabriel Black accepted Crimson's
challenge to face anyone in the world, in any type of match at Wrestlewar by
accepting the challenge on behalf of the Torturer, making it an Iron Cage Axe
Handle Death Match. Though Crimson defeated the Torturer at Horror Show late
last year, this match is under entirely different circumstances. The only other
person to face the Torturer in this match was none other than Troy Black, and
not only was he unable to defeat the Torturer, but had it not been for outside
interference from Melissa DelArmeggio after the match, he might have been
seriously injured. This coming match will no doubt be the biggest challenge of
Crimson's career.
That wasn't the only major news to come out of the Inquisition tonight,
though. Gabriel Black and Falcon also made arrangements to take on the Wrecking
Crew for the VCW World Tag Team Titles, and made a Towel Match between Moy
Lazzario and Troy Black. Both of these matches went down later tonight, but
Falcon also made a challenge that could have serious results next week by
challenging David Wright Hubbard to a fight in the arena next week. It's
confirmed that David Wright Hubbard will indeed be at the arena next week, and
it looks like Falcon may have to back up what he said not only at Wrestlewar,
but also next week.
Moy Lazzario didn't have a good night tonight at all, and not just
because of the Towel Match with Troy Black. After a challenge by Johnny Smiles
to Chris Champlain was accepted and made into a match, Moy Lazzario took it
upon himself to interfere in that match with a chair, attacking Johnny. But he
reinforced his general image as somewhat of a dimwit by taking his eyes off of
Chris Champlain, with disasterous results. After both men were beaten with a
chair by Chris Champlain, Moy Lazzario was then placed on a table, and Chris
Champlain drove Johnny Smiles through him and the table with a superplex.
Of course, this left him in no condition to face Troy Black in a Towel
Match scarcely twenty minutes later. And to make matters worse, in Troy's
corner was the equally battered and beaten Johnny Smiles. Rebecca Black and Moy
Lazzario talked big, but after Troy Black nearly slaughtered Moy Lazzario by
executing the Black Dagger on him no fewer than FIVE times, even Rebecca Black
saw the wisdom of throwing in the towel to see that Moy Lazzario would actually
survive this match. Amazingly, Moy Lazzario isn't seriously injured, though he
will be taking a week or two off to nurse his wounds.
The Technicians found out tonight why Julian Page and Jacob Idol caused
the Technicians to lose matches against each other two weeks ago tonight, and
they found out the hard way. Jacob Idol and Julian Page have come together as a
team, and are prepared to advance their careers by defeating any other force in
their path. Obviously, their first challenge would seem to be the Technicians,
who probably aren't going to take the treachery that occurred in tonight's
three way dance lying down.
Neytron DelArmeggio got a small piece of revenge for his defeat last
week at the hands of Rob Solomon, when he once again utilized his superior
wrestling skills to defeat Rob Solomon by catching him in a fisherman suplex,
picking up the victory for his team with fellow former Golden Society member
Dean Sanders. This rivalry has been too close to call so far, and it's
definitely a long way from being finished. The same could also be said for the
conflict between Lance Errington and Dean Sanders, the other two men in this
match. While nothing much was settled between the two of them, both of them
would love to defeat the other; Lance Errington wants to avenge his loss to
Dean Sanders from last week, while Dean Sanders seeks to prove that it wasn't a
fluke. All of these conflicts seem to be leading to matches at Wrestlewar.
The Wrecking Crew and the Inquisition elite team of Gabriel Black and
Falcon had a tough fight over the VCW World Tag Team Titles, but in the end the
Wrecking Crew ended up walking away with the titles, thanks to the current
number-one contenders, the Annihilators, who despite not even being scheduled
to appear tonight showed up and attacked Falcon during the match. Their feud
with former Liberation X leader Falcon still hasn't seen any sort of closure,
and it's obvious from their actions tonight, attacking Falcon and costing him a
possible VCW World Tag Team Title victory, that they're not through with him
yet. The Annihilators gave Falcon quite a beating tonight... and the Wrecking
Crew followed suit by nailing Rebecca Black with the Breakdown.
Next week's show should also be quite full of action. As was mentioned
earlier, David Wright Hubbard will be at the arena, and knowing how much he
loves a fight, and how eager he is to take Falcon down, it's safe to assume
that he'll jump at Falcon's offer for a fight next week. Not only will David
Wright Hubbard be there, but it's confirmed that the Annihilators and the
Torturer will be there as well. Also, next week, Virginia will return after
taking this week off to recover after Chris Champlain attacked her with an iron
mace. Make sure you join us next week, because next week's show should be
simply too good to miss!!
