Match observations:

Unfortunately, tonight's show was marked by another sad, tragic event in
the death of Bobby Duncum Jr. Twice, now, in one month, we've had to face the
unfortunate news of a death in the wrestling world. We can only pray that the
rest of this year will be more healthy and tragedy-free in the world of
wrestling.
Wrestlewar is now only thirteen days away, and as the second-to-last
edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling before Wrestlewar, this show was full of
action and surprises, as could be expected. Unfortunately, it was also a little
empty, since many of VCW's top stars were recovering from injuries sustained
last week. Virginia, after receiving a multitude of stitches from Chris
Champlain's knife attack last week, and Falcon and Rebecca Black, after taking
a beating from David Wright Hubbard last week, were all recovering at home
tonight. Fortunately, none of the injuries are terribly serious, and everyone
will be ready to go by Wrestlewar.
In the beginning of the show, after Gabriel Black defeated Haigeikobai
in what was perhaps the biggest mismatch possible in VCW at this time, we found
out about Gabriel Black's newest plan to take Troy Black out of the picture
before Wrestlewar. He had a dangerous mystery opponent for Troy Black later in
the show. At first, it seemed as though he was referring to the Torturer... but
we'd find out later that this wasn't the case.
Hell's Bikers and the Immortals met each other tonight in a rematch from
last week's encounter, where Hell's Bikers walked away with the victory. This
time, the Immortals won the match and managed to get their money (which Hell's
Bikers had stolen last week) back, but a brawl continued after the match. To
make the scene even more chaotic, the Manhunters ran into the ring, fresh off a
victory over the Middle-Aged Outlaws, and joined the wild brawl. Since that
time, a match has been signed, and these three teams will meet in a triangle
match at Wrestlewar to determine who will be the number-one contenders for the
VCW World Tag Team Titles after Wrestlewar.
Falcon wasn't present in the arena tonight, but he made his presence
felt through an interview conducted at his home, where he is recovering with
Rebecca Black. Not only is Falcon now more motivated than ever going into his
Wrestlewar cage match against David Wright Hubbard, but a new challenge has
been added to the table as well. Falcon extended the challenge for Michelle
Hubbard to face Rebecca Black at Wrestlewar as well. David Wright Hubbard later
responded by accepting that challenge on behalf of his wife, prior to winning a
handicap-match against Bass Rogers and Rex Richards tonight.
Rob Solomon didn't fare too well in the Softcore Match against Julian
Page tonight. Using the hockey stick as a weapon in the plain view of the
referee certainly wasn't a very good tactic in terms of winning the match, but
it did leave Julian Page laid out in the middle of the ring. Unfortunately, Rob
Solomon didn't come out any better, as Neytron DelArmeggio ran to the ring and
attacked him, laying him out with a low blow, the hockey stick, and two
Piledrivers. Rob Solomon went on to return the favor later that night, costing
Neytron DelArmeggio a non-title match against Lance Errington.
Jacob Idol, the tag team partner of Julian Page, wasn't able to earn a
victory tonight. Though he managed to cost Paul Canyon a match against Moy
Lazzario, he wasn't so successful in picking up a victory for himself against
Tim Bell, after the Technicians demanded a match with him in retaliation for
his interference in Paul Canyon's earlier match. Jacob Idol and Julian Page
will take on Paul Canyon and Tim Bell of the Technicians at Wrestlewar.
Minutes before his match, as he was commenting on his upcoming match at
Wrestlewar, Troy Black found out that his mystery opponent in the main event
tonight would be none other than Chris Champlain. This match was less a
wrestling match and more of a struggle for survival for both men; it became
obvious that Chris Champlain wasn't intending to defeat Troy Black, but instead
was intending to seriously injure him. But Troy Black managed to fight back,
and he seemed to have Chris Champlain nearly defeated when Gabriel Black shoved
him off the top turnbuckle to prevent him from executing the Black Dagger.
That wasn't enough for Gabriel Black, however; he entered the ring with
a chair and beat Troy Black mercilessly with that. Yet somehow Troy Black still
managed to keep getting up again after each blow, until Chris Champlain used
his iron mace to attack Troy Black, which finally laid him out on the mat.
Gabriel Black continued to attack Troy Black, but Chris Champlain got the
bright idea of trying to attack Gabriel Black as well. Gabriel Black was too
alert for that, though; he caught the swing of the mace and quickly turned his
attention to Chris Champlain. The fight spilled out of the ring, and Troy Black
seemed to exhibit inhuman ability to recover, as he somehow sat up, then hit
both Chris Champlain and Gabriel Black with a running tope to the outside of
the ring. Unfortunately, the H.A.R.P. Squad pulled all three men apart just as
it was getting good.
Next week's show will be the final episode of VCW Monday Night Wrestling
before Wrestlewar, and for that reason, it should be a good one. Crimson,
Johnny Smiles, the Torturer, and the Wrecking Crew will all be there; in
addition, Falcon, Rebecca Black, and Virginia will make their returns to live
VCW action. Don't miss the final episode of VCW Monday Night Wrestling before
Wrestlewar; make sure that you join us for all the drama and exciting action!!
