Match observations:

The road to Random Casualties continues on, and on tonight's show, many
alliances in VCW were strained to the breaking point, often before they ever
even started. Challenges continue to be made and accepted from multiple
directions by multiple people, and at this rate it looks like Random Casualties
will be absolutely filled with action and drama from top to bottom. Even the
Random Casualties tournament itself, which suffered from lack of star power
last year, is shaping up to be a major event. And as VCW as a whole draws ever
nearer to the big event, many wrestlers are scrambling to get the upper hand,
or put aside old differences to make a solid team with a partner they hate.
Russel "The Muscle" Taylor boldly threw out a challenge to the Super
Giant Ninja tonight, challenging him to a match at Random Casualties. There
won't be a Waste-of-Time at Random Casualties, but if there was, this match
would be on it. Russel Taylor's next challenge proved to be even less prudent,
as he extended an open challenge to anyone in VCW. Falcon came out, promising a
victory over Russel Taylor in ninety seconds, and delivered in one-third of
that time. He and Rebecca Black went on to make two very important statements;
Rebecca warned us of Tony Atlas's return next week, while Falcon demanded that
Crimson respond to his challenge for a match at Random Casualties. Tonight,
he'd get what he was asking for.
In the T & A division of VCW, Jasmina Ecstacy challenged Nicole to a Bra
and Panties Strap Match. Nicole had no intentions of accepting the match, but
Jacob Idol stripped her down and threw her into the ring, forcing the issue. As
it turns out, Nicole's apprehensions were well-founded; Jasmina Ecstacy whipped
her mercilessly with the strap before finishing her off with the Lewd Awakening
neckbreaker. Nicole hasn't been too successful in her wrestling career so
far... perhaps that's part of the reason why she doesn't seem to want one.
Backstage, amidst all of the other events in his life with the Random
Casualties tournament, the Torturer, Troy Black, and challenges from Chris
Champlain and Crimson, Gabriel Black was seen making some sort of a deal with
Stormy Weathers. It's known that Gabriel Black will team with Stormy Weathers's
"trained assassin", Haigeikobai, in the Random Casualties tournament... did
this transaction concern that, or something else entirely? Aside from a
different tag team partner at Random Casualties (which isn't likely to happen,
due to the rules of the tournament), what could Gabriel Black want from Stormy
Weathers?
Neytron DelArmeggio made a brash challenge tonight to defend the VCW
Softcore Title against anyone in the world at Random Casualties. The only
problem is that he didn't have the VCW Softcore Title when he made the
challenge, and he still doesn't have it now, after failing to regain it from
Devaccio Pola in a rematch. Devaccio Pola made it abundantly clear that he
doesn't care about the VCW Softcore Title, but that he's happy to keep it out
of Neytron's hands. That would seem to sum up the attitudes of most VCW fans on
the subject quite nicely.
The back-and-forth rivalry between Hell's Bikers and the Annihilators
continued tonight, as they met in another tag team match where Hell's Bikers
evened up the score from their defeat two weeks ago. Once again, Hell's Bikers
hold the third-highest spot in the VCW tag team rankings, right behind the
number-one contenders, the Immortals, and the VCW World Tag Team Champions, the
Wrecking Crew. But, as before, the Annihilators are right on their tails... it
may take a decisive confrontation at Random Casualties to settle this issue
once and for all.
Bass Rogers was thinking of a decisive confrontation BEFORE Random
Casualties, to settle bad blood that has existed between the Inquisition and
David Wright Hubbard, with the intentions of presenting a more united tag team
with David Wright Hubbard at Random Casualties. The outcome of their match
tonight probably wasn't what Bass Rogers had in mind, however, as David Wright
Hubbard out-brawled him and defeated him decisively in their match. Perhaps
this will help them to function as a team... but more likely, it'll create
resentment from Bass Rogers, and lead to further friction. This might not have
been the best idea to begin with.
Speaking of ideas that aren't very good, Rex Richards got the bright
idea to call out Crimson and two partners of his choice, and promised to remain
in the ring until his challenge was met. Crimson came forward and formally
accepted Falcon's challenge to a match at Random Casualties, then accepted Rex
Richards's challenge for a match tonight, before introducing his partners...
the VCW World Tag Team Champions, the Wrecking Crew. As if there were any
doubts, Crimson and the Wrecking Crew beat the pulp out of the Inquisition team
in short order; they have too much momentum to be stopped by anything less than
the very best in VCW right now.
At the request of the wounded Lady Erica Whitmore (who now wears a veil
to hide her ruined nose), Gabriel Black made a match, a VCW World Title
defense, against the Torturer tonight. The Torturer couldn't be reached for
comments, but it was clear that he knew what was at stake by the way he fought
in the match. His powerful offense and near-inability to be hurt posed quite a
challenge to Gabriel Black, and it almost appeared that he would defeat Gabriel
Black. But Gabriel Black showed us why he has been so dominant in VCW by
resourcefully sliding out of the Torture Rack, then hitting the Destiny Driver
out of nowhere for the victory.
But that wasn't the only consequence of the Destiny Driver. As Gabriel
and Erica celebrated the victory, it became clear that the Torturer wasn't
going to get up from the move. The mood suddenly became somber as the VCW
trainers and medical crew came out, and carried the Torturer away on a
stretcher. As they did, Gabriel's concern for his former friend became
triumphant delight, and as the show came to an end, Gabriel was celebrating
more than a mere victory in a wrestling match; it's clear that he was pleased
with his ability to injure those who oppose him.
Next week's show will feature more of the sort of wrestling action that
VCW fans have come to expect, and maybe we'll have a few things cleared up
going into Random Casualties. VCW stars such as Chris Champlain, Crimson,
DeJohnnyration X, and many more will all be present at next week's show. Make
sure that you join us, and don't miss a minute of the exciting action on next
week's edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling!!
