Match observations:

We're a mere six days away from Random Casualties on pay-per-view, and
after tonight's events, some of the questions surrounding the pay-per-view were
answered. Most of these answers came from VCW Commissioner James Lockman
himself: Neytron DelArmeggio will be replacing the injured Torturer as Lance
Errington's partner in the Random Casualties tournament, Troy Black WILL face
Chris Champlain at Random Casualties, and Tattoo will attempt to stop Tony
Atlas in his tracks. But he also made several matches which would affect
tonight, which in turn changed the face of Random Casualties indirectly.
One of these matches was the Ice Water Swimming Pool Match, in which
Virginia was ordered to face both Jasmina Ecstacy and Leslie Edwards. The
concept was simple; a pool of ice water was surrounded by radial fans, and the
object was to throw your opponent into the pool. Afterwards, on her way out,
the cold water and the wind from the fans would have their intended effect on
her breasts, giving the crowd a show in the process. This all worked well...
what didn't go according to plan was the fact that Virginia dominated the match
and won despite two on one odds. James Lockman, upset that things didn't turn
out as he had hoped, came out to throw Virginia into the pool personally and
make a match against her at Random Casualties. It looks like we'll see the
legendary "Pretty Boy" Jimmy Lockman in action on a third VCW pay-per-view...
but is Virginia up to the task of stepping into the ring with a living legend?
As if Virgnia needed any added motivation, Lockman also forced Johnny Smiles
into a handicap match against Bass Rogers and Rex Richards, and unlike Virginia
he was unable to win. The coming confrontation between Virginia and Lockman
could be one of the most interesting and heated battles in VCW.
Going into his match with Devaccio Pola, Julian Page had several factors
motivating him to do well. Not only is Devaccio Pola walking around with
Neytron DelArmeggio's prized VCW Softcore Title, but in addition Rob Solomon is
scheduled to team with Devaccio Pola at Random Casualties, despite the fact
that neither man seems to be able to resist trying to murder the other on
sight. Despite these motives to help his teammates in the Hammer of the Gods,
Julian Page wasn't able to decisively get the job done against Devaccio Pola,
who eventually tossed him over the top rope to get disqualified in their
Softcore Title match. So far, Devaccio Pola has come out one step ahead of the
Hammer of the Gods... but what will happen when he's forced to team with Rob
Solomon at Random Casualties?
Earlier in the show, before the start of the Ice Water Swimming Pool
Match, Leslie Edwards made a challenge to anyone who wanted a shot at the T & A
Title to get their shot at the pay-per-view, Random Casualties. She didn't have
to wait too long for an answer, as Owen Addison of the Technicians volunteered
Jennie to take on Leslie Edwards in a Bikini Oil Wrestling Match and show her a
little of the Technicians' definition of T & A... talent and athleticism.
Considering that Jennie is more athletic and seems to be more talented as a
wrestler than Leslie Edwards, she could have an excellent chance of winning the
VCW T & A Title at Random Casualties.
Hell's Bikers had a shifty plan to try to force the Annihilators below
them in the VCW tag team ranks once and for all, by causing them to lose to the
Manhunters. Their outside interference achieved the desired result, but the
Annihilators decided that turnabout was fair play, and costed Hell's Bikers
their match with the Technicians in return. As a result of this chaotic chain
of events, all four teams will meet in a Four Corners Elimination Match at
Random Casualties. The winner, we can only assume, will be the number-one
contenders for the VCW World Tag Team Titles after the Immortals face the
Wrecking Crew for those titles at Random Casualties.
Speaking of the Wrecking Crew, they were faced with a rather unusual
challenge tonight, when Gabriel Black decided to show the world he could carry
Haigeikobai in the Random Casualties tournament by carrying him to the VCW
World Tag Team Titles tonight. For once in his life, Gabriel's ego wrote a
check that his body couldn't cash, and the Wrecking Crew beat the hell out of
him, then dropped him with the Breakdown. Bass Rogers saved Gabriel Black from
suffering his first pinfall loss in VCW, and the Inquisition decided to make
the best of a bad situation and beat up on the Wrecking Crew. Their attack was
cut short, however, when the Immortals ran out of the backstage area and saved
their opponents, the Wrecking Crew, from further harm. You have to hand it to
the Immortals there... it would have been too easy to just sit back and let the
Inquisition soften up the Wrecking Crew for them, but they did the right think
and made the save.
Tonight's main event, due to a special request from Troy Black, was
Troy's first defense of the VCW Intercontinental Title since his injury,
against David Wright Hubbard. It would also prove to be his last defense of the
VCW Intercontinental Title during this reign, as he was defeated by David
Wright Hubbard for the title after a hard-fought, brutal match that really
tested the extent of his recovery. It almost appeared as though he had failed
that test... it seemed as though the top-rope power bomb through a table that
won David Wright Hubbard the VCW Intercontinental Title for the second time may
have injured Troy's neck, for a second time.
However, much to the relief and anger of most VCW fans and David Wright
Hubbard, Troy Black was fine. He sat up on the stretcher and came back to the
ring, where he blindsided David Wright Hubbard and laid him out, then smashed
his knee repeatedly with a chair. The medical crew that had come for Troy now
had to care for David Wright Hubbard, whose title win over Troy Black is now
marred by his injury after the match. As a result of Troy's attack, David
Wright Hubbard will be far less than a hundred percent for the Random
Casualties tournament. The only reason Troy gave for the attack is because he
"can" do things like this... but there must be a deeper motive. Since
returning, Troy Black has seemed much closer to his family, and extremely nasty
and vicious towards other people, and this is a big example of that. But what's
the underlying issue here, if there is one? Why the sudden change?
In a mere six days, VCW will once again charge blindly into the magical
realm of pay-per-view with Random Casualties. Join us there, where you will see
the Random Casualties tournament, in addition to the Immortals versus the
Wrecking Crew, Chris Champlain against Troy Black, and the long awaited no-DQ,
no-countout, no-time-limit meeting between Crimson and Falcon, one-on-one!
Don't miss a minute of the action, and make sure you're there to see every
second of Random Casualties!!
