Match observations:

As VCW heads towards Disaster Area, the next big pay-per-view event,
which takes place on the twenty-first of May, many of the possible matches for
that event were hinted at tonight. Many of the things that took place at Random
Casualties and the episode of VCW Monday Night Wrestling the following night
may have stirred up quite a bit of trouble in VCW, and it appears that there
will be no shortage of heated feuds to settle at VCW's most violent, hardcore,
uncensored pay-per-view of the year.
In the beginning, amidst the meaningless undercard matches, Johnny
Smiles threw out a challenge to none other than VCW Commissioner James Lockman.
For the past several pay-per-views, James Lockman has been reverting to his old
wrestling persona, "Pretty Boy" Jimmy Lockman, and participating in active
competition in VCW. After the challenge made by Johnny Smiles, where he intends
to avenge Lockman's attempts to humiliate Virginia, could we see Jimmy Lockman
in action again at Disaster Area?
After Gabriel Black ignored his challenge to a VCW World Title match
last week, Hunk Higgins took it upon himself to repeat that challenge tonight,
making it clear that he's determined to be more persistent this time. Bass
Rogers came forward with the Manhunters, telling Hunk Higgins that the Middle-
Aged Outlaws would have to beat the Manhunters before Gabriel Black could
consider giving him a title shot. As it turns out, the Manhunters squashed the
Middle-Aged Outlaws, pretty much as everyone expected them to, which pretty
much settles that issue... or so it would appear until later tonight.
After Hunk Higgins failed in his attempt to get a title shot from
Gabriel Black, the Annihilators were no more successful in their attempts to
get a shot at the tag team titles held by Troy Black and Falcon. Instead, they
got Moy Lazzario and Bass Rogers, who promised to give them the beating that
Troy Black and Falcon were too busy to administer personally. However, the
Inquisition members failed to live up to that promise, instead suffering
defeat at the hands of the Annihilators, who have definitely been on a roll
since Random Casualties.
Jasmina Ecstacy made it clear tonight that she felt that Jennie wasn't
a good VCW T & A Champion, and intended to take the title away from her
tonight. Unfortunately for her, Jennie wasn't about to let that happen, and
seemed to be well on her way to successfully defending the title before Jacob
Idol showed up. Jasmina Ecstacy was disqualified after Jacob Idol hit Jennie
with a chair, but that didn't stop them from giving Jennie a beating and then
stripping her topless before Paul Canyon came in to save her, running off Jacob
Idol and Jasmina Ecstacy.
That wasn't the last we heard of that issue, though. Paul Canyon came
out to the ring later to challenge Jacob Idol to a match, attempting to avenge
what happened to Jennie. Though he won the match via disqualification, he
didn't come out of the situation looking like a winner, as Jacob Idol and
Jasmina Ecstacy gave him and his injured friend and tag team partner Owen
Addison a beating after the match. Jacob Idol boasted afterwards about bringing
down the Ontario Color Show, but it's not hard to see that it would have been a
different story had Owen Addison been healthy enough to fight.
After Lady Erica Whitmore's requests to give Lance Errington a VCW World
Title match last week and her failed attempt to interfere in that match,
Gabriel Black was understandably suspicious of her. Unsatisfied with her
explanation, he intended to punish her by giving her the Destiny Driver, the
move that has already given neck injuries to Troy Black, the Torturer, and
Haigeikobai. Falcon talked him out of it, but instead Gabriel put Erica's fate
in Falcon's hands, promising to turn her over to Chris Champlain if Falcon
couldn't defeat Chris Champlain tonight. He also made a match pitting himself
and Troy Black against Lance Errington and David Wright Hubbard, evidently
intending to save face after Lance Errington's disqualification win over him
last week.
Prior to his match, Chris Champlain made sure to let everyone know once
again that Gabriel Black is still his number-one target... not that he wasn't
more than happy to be in this match tonight. Falcon, on the other hand, seemed
determined to keep Lady Erica Whitmore out of Chris Champlain's hands, and came
into the match with his usual aggressive, brawling, high-risk offense. In the
end, it appeared that Chris Champlain had Falcon beaten, until Lady Erica
Whitmore distracted the referee. This allowed Lance Errington to run into the
ring and nail Chris Champlain with a chair, which in turn allowed Falcon to
pull off the victory. Erica remained safe as a result. But is this a further
sign of a reunion between Lance Errington and Lady Erica Whitmore, or was Lance
merely returning a favor from last week when Erica saved him from the Destiny
Driver?
The team of Gabriel Black and Troy Black may be the most dangerous and
skilled combination of any two wrestlers in VCW, but they had their hands full
with Lance Errington and his chosen partner, David Wright Hubbard. Both Lance
Errington and David Wright Hubbard were highly motivated and eager to take the
fight to Troy and Gabriel, fighting with an intensity that caught the two
brothers off-guard. After David Wright Hubbard drove Gabriel Black through a
table with a top-rope power bomb and followed up with the Flying Cross
Bodypress, there was no escape for Gabriel Black except for Rebecca Black's
interference, which caused a disqualification victory for Lance Errington and
David Wright Hubbard.
Unfortunately, the interference also caused the fight after the match to
swing into the favor of Troy and Gabriel Black, who laid out Lance Errington
and David Wright Hubbard. Once again, Gabriel Black prepared to give Lance
Errington the Destiny Driver, only to be stopped by the last people anyone ever
expected to come to the rescue. Hunk Higgins and Ruby Richard Cage, the Middle-
Aged Outlaws, hit the ring, and through the element of surprise, overconfidence
on the part of Troy and Gabriel Black, and a LOT of plain dumb luck, they
managed to fight Troy and Gabriel off until Lance Errington and David Wright
Hubbard recovered. Amazingly, the Middle-Aged Outlaws saved the day.
After the events that took place tonight, what can we expect for next
week's show? More rivalries seem to be developing that could lead to matches
for Disaster Area, but at this point it's still anyone's guess what comes next.
One thing is for sure, next week's show will feature many VCW top stars,
including Crimson, the Wrecking Crew, the Immortals, VCW Softcore Champion
Neytron DelArmeggio, Rob Solomon, and Devaccio Pola. Don't miss a minute of the
exciting action, and make sure that you join us for the next edition of VCW
Monday Night Wrestling!!
