Match observations:

We're still nearly four weeks away from Gang Wars, which will
take place on the twenty-fifth of June, but after tonight the possible
matches for that event are becoming clearer and clearer. Perhaps more
than any other time in VCW history, factions are emerging on all levels
of VCW, and alliances are being made, as a power vacuum emerges due to
the splitting in the most powerful alliance in VCW, the Inquisition.
Even those people in VCW whose actions mean little to nothing are
finding themselves busy. The Middle-Aged Outlaws said their usual piece
about not wanting to "pass the torch" to the "young blood" in VCW, and
this time they were answered by two men, claiming to be members of the
"young blood", who have never been seen before in VCW. Calling
themselves "Silly Kidman" and "The Frozen One", they came to the ring
and took the fight to the Middle-Aged Outlaws... and lost quickly. I
think that sums up the impact they're expected to have on VCW nicely.
The governing powers of VCW, which are now referred to as "the
System", are now starting to throw their weight around in VCW in
earnest. VCW Commissioner James Lockman booked a series of unfavorable
matches for DeJohnnyration X tonight, and not one turned out to the
advantage of anyone but the System. Virginia, disgusted by the whole
thing, decided to forfeit an Evening Gown Match to Leslie Edwards by
taking her own gown off, while the Immortals lost their chance to become
number-one contenders to the VCW World Tag Team Titles when Steve
"Mongo" McMichael and Arthur Justice defeated them for that priviledge,
and Johnny Smiles came out on the short end of the stick when forced to
wrestle Hell's Bikers with Russel "The Muscle" Taylor and the Super
Giant Ninja as his mystery partners. Every day, it's looking more and
more like this is a battle that DeJohnnyration X can't win.
The Technicians, along with Lance Errington, seem to be preparing
for a feud with the Hammer of the Gods. But they didn't fare too well
tonight; though Paul Canyon defeated Jacob Idol once again in a rematch
from their meeting at Disaster Area, the Hammer of the Gods still came
out with more wins than losses tonight, as Neytron DelArmeggio defeated
Lance Errington, and perhaps more importantly, Julian Page defeated Tim
Bell for the VCW Television Title, now becoming the holder of both that
title and the VCW Intercontinental Title. After the match, he even
extended a challenge (which remains unanswered as of now) to Gabriel
Black, for the VCW World Title. Though tonight didn't go well for them,
it's a good bet that the Technicians will have plenty of chances to
avenge these losses; this feud has been going on since before the
establishment of the Hammer of the Gods, and looks like it'll continue
for quite some time.
Perhaps the biggest news of the night involving the factions of
VCW involves the most notorious faction of all: the Inquisition.
Tonight, it's become clear that the Inquisition has split cleanly in
half, and battle lines are drawn. Falcon, Troy Black, Lady Erica
Whitmore, Moy Lazzario, and Rex Richards are now rebelling against
Gabriel Black, while Bass Rogers and the Manhunters remain loyal. The
Inquisition loyalists swept tonight's matches, with the Manhunters
picking up the VCW World Tag Team Titles (thanks in no small part to
outside interference) to boot, but a bigger issue looms overhead: the
Inquisition loyalists have been challenged by the dissenters to a four-
on-four meeting at Gang Wars. If both sides are agreeable to this match,
it will almost certainly be the main event for Gang Wars, and it may
very well spell the end of the Inquisition as we know it.
But the biggest story of tonight had to be David Wright Hubbard's
confrontation with Crimson tonight. In David Wright Hubbard's home state
of Texas, the challenge was thrown down for a match tonight, and Crimson
accepted. Despite Crimson's reputation for running over everything in
his path, David Wright Hubbard took the fight to him, and seemed to have
him beaten until Crimson's new teammates, Hell's Bikers, interfered,
causing the disqualification. They proceeded to beat David Wright
Hubbard mercilessly, and probably would have had the honor of putting
him out of action in his own home state had not the Annihilators and the
Wrecking Crew charged the ring and ran them off with chairs. As the show
came to a close, David Wright Hubbard made a challenge, for all four
members of Hell's Bikers to find a fifth man and meet himself, the
Annihilators, and the Wrecking Crew in a match at Gang Wars. Crimson's
new attitude and "Homicide Road Tour" could come back to haunt him as
early as Gang Wars; he may have put himself into a dangerous situation
this time.
Next week, VCW is preparing for another big show. It is confirmed
as a result of tonight's events that Arthur Justice and Steve "Mongo"
McMichael will take on the Manhunters for the VCW World Tag Team Titles.
In addition, we will see many more top VCW stars such as Devaccio Pola,
Lance Errington, and Rob Solomon. Don't miss a minute of the great
wrestling action, and make sure you join us as the road to Gang Wars
continues on the next episode of VCW Monday Night Wrestling!!
