Match observations:

Horror Show is merely thirteen days away, and the competition is really
heating up after tonight's show. It would appear that the scheduled main event,
pitting Troy Black against Neytron DelArmeggio, is still going to take place,
despite Troy Black's injury and Neytron's negative status in the eyes of the
ruling powers of VCW. Many other matches continue to be set for Horror Show, as
many more rivalries and disputes escalate throughout VCW.
Arthur Justice is still being considered as a possible new member of
DeJohnnyration X after his meeting with Virginia tonight. Despite attacking
Johnny Smiles when he made the initial offer of a DeJohnnyration X T-shirt,
Arthur Justice agreed to think about it after talking to Virginia tonight. He
doesn't seem to like the prospect of joining forces with Johnny Smiles and the
Immortals, though it appears that he wouldn't mind spending more time around
Virginia. In any case, he scored an impressive victory tonight over Lars
Coverdale, a friend of DeJohnnyration X. Whether the result of his match
against Johnny Smiles at Horror Show will be similar remains to be seen.
John Uldwall, Devaccio Pola, and Jeff Wright had the intention tonight
of settling a few grudges with Hell's Bikers, but it didn't quite work out.
Though they were unified in purpose, they didn't have the team mentality that
Hell's Bikers seem to have developed, and it came back to haunt them when Butch
Manson and Jack Norman executed some well-timed interference, allowing Dick
Douglas, the legal man in the ring at the time, to knock out their opponents
with a crowbar and score the pin on Jeff Wright. One wouldn't guess that Hell's
Bikers are among the most educated people in the world, but it's hard to deny
that they're crafty and resourceful after seeing this kind of plan in action.
After costing each other the VCW World Tag Team Titles in the past few
weeks, Rob Solomon and Jacob Idol finally met Stiff Competition in a tag team
match. Thanks to a misguided blow from the hockey stick that connected with Rob
Solomon, they lost the match, which doesn't exactly do wonders for their claim
of being the most deserving team in VCW to get a shot at the tag team titles.
If anything, after this match, Stiff Competition appears to be one of the top
tag teams in VCW, and less than a month after their debut.
Julian Page made it clear during his interview prior to his match with
Marty Jannetty that he wants the VCW Intercontinental Title and the VCW
Television Title back from Jiro Tobikuma, and that he was upset at Lance
Errington getting a title shot tonight. But that wasn't the extent of the
expression of his feelings on that subject; during the match between Lance
Errington and Jiro Tobikuma, he hit Lance Errington in the back of the head
with the VCW Intercontinental Title as he had the Scorpion Deathlock on Jiro
Tobikuma. Julian Page proceeded to lay out both men, issuing a promise to beat
them both at Horror Show and win back the titles. Even for someone as
successful as Julian Page, that may be a tough promise to live up to.
Neytron DelArmeggio is still in the title match at Horror Show, but
tonight he ended up participating in a match that he didn't want to be involved
in, when Jimmy Lockman booked him in a handicap match against the Manhunters in
retaliation for his comments to Stacey Lockman a few weeks ago. As could be
expected, Neytron was overpowered and manhandled by the Manhunters, and took a
beating that was well-deserved in the eyes of many people. Neytron DelArmeggio
has been making enemies at an astounding rate lately, and it's starting to come
back to haunt him.
David Wright Hubbard, still with a back injury, made it clear tonight
that Tony Garcia is due for some payback after injuring his back three weeks
ago. Instead of Tony Garcia, Randy Savage decided he wanted another match with
David Wright Hubbard, and they proceeded to have that match tonight. It didn't
take Tony Garcia long to respond, running out of the backstage area and nailing
David Wright Hubbard with his wooden axe handle. The match ended in a
disqualification, but the post-match beating was cut short when Falcon ran down
to come to David Wright Hubbard's aid.
After fighting off Randy Savage and Tony Garcia, Falcon extended an
offer to David Wright Hubbard, for a tag team match against Tony Garcia and
Randy Savage, right then and there. David Wright Hubbard seemed to like the
idea, and the match was on. Unfortunately for Falcon, this idea backfired on
him when Randy Savage dropped the Flying Elbowdrop on him and covered him for
the three-count, winning the impromptu match for his team. Without a doubt,
Tony Garcia and Randy Savage are two of the sport's great veterans, and it
seems that Falcon underestimated them tonight.
Next week's show is the final edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling
before Horror Show, and it's expected to be filled with action. Johnny Smiles,
Virginia, Brian Rivera, the Ontario Color Show, VCW World Tag Team Champions
the Immortals, and VCW World Champion Troy Black will all be present and in
competition, along with much more action and excitement. Make sure you're there
too, and don't forget to remember to tune in next week for another action-
packed, awe-inspiring edition of VCW Monday Night Wrestling!!
