Match observations:

Horror Show takes place six days from tonight, and many of the matches
tonight may have given us a preview of what we can expect at the pay-per-view.
Many of the wrestlers who are scheduled to face each other at Horror Show
decided to face each other earlier than planned on opposing sides of tag team
matches. Despite some initial confusion as to what we would see at Horror Show,
the card is now taking a pretty clear and definite shape.
The tag team match between the Heavy Metal Express and the team of Steve
McMichael and Moy Lazzario broke down into utter chaos when Jack Norman, Butch
Manson, Dave Adams, and Main Street Pete all decided to run in and begin
brawling with the men in the ring. As a result, there will be a four-corners
match at Horror Show between these four teams. The winners of this match will
definitely be one of the teams that is strongly considered for a title shot.
Speaking of title shots, Jennie still has a title shot at Horror Show
against Christina Ellis, the reigning VCW True Women's Achievement Champion,
and after defeating Jasmina Chastity tonight, she seems ready to make the most
of it. However, even with all due consideration given to the training she has
received from the Technicians in the past several weeks, Jennie is definitely
the underdog in this fight. Not only does she give up a lot of size and power
to Christina Ellis, but she's still very lacking in experience, and she's
competing against a woman who has made a career out of giving and receiving
lethal suplexes and stiff blows. Unless Jennie has a good plan at the pay-per-
view, it looks like she's outclassed in a big way.
For Jeff Wright, the pay-per-view will be a much-needed chance to gain
revenge on his former tag team partner, Brian Rivera. After losing two tag team
matches to Brian Rivera in the past month, one would think that he has to win
this Sunday when they wrestle one-on-one in order to save face. Likewise,
Devaccio Pola now has added motivation when he faces Salvaje Demonio at Horror
Show, after failing tonight to avenge the beating he took from him earlier in
the month.
Johnny Smiles doesn't seem to get it, as usual. Based on his comments
before his match tonight, it seems that he still hopes to recruit Arthur
Justice into DeJohnnyration X this Sunday. The way things have been going, that
doesn't seem too likely, especially after Arthur Justice threw Dick Douglas's
crowbar into the ring tonight, enabling him to hit Johnny with it and lay him
out in the middle of the ring. Then again, perhaps Arthur Justice will
reconsider; he didn't seem to be opposed to the idea of spending more time with
Virginia.
After soundly defeating John Uldwall tonight in a tough match, Jiro
Tobikuma threw out a challenge to Julian Page and Lance Errington for a series
of matches at Horror Show. Julian and Lance will face each other first, and the
winner of that match will face Jiro Tobikuma in two matches later in the show,
one for each title, while the loser will be Jiro Tobikuma's opponent in a non-
title warm-up match. Like the forty-five minute Iron Man Match two weeks ago,
this will be a test of stamina for everybody involved, especially Jiro Tobikuma
and whoever the challenger for the titles may be.
There will be three teams challenging for the VCW World Tag Team Titles
at Horror Show, as Stiff Competition, the Ontario Color Show, and the team of
Rob Solomon and Jacob Idol all challenge the Immortals in an elimination-style
Four Corners Match at the pay-per-view. This doesn't bode well for Rob Solomon
and Jacob Idol, who are hated by pretty much everyone else in the match based
on their recent actions. While in a non-elimination-style match it could be
expected that any unity between Stiff Competition, the Ontario Color Show, and
the Immortals would dissolve in the scramble for the titles, in this match
there's nothing preventing them all from ganging up on Idol and Solomon and
beating them first. It could be a long night for Jacob Idol and Rob Solomon
this Sunday.
Julian Page certainly seems ready for his matches with Lance Errington
and Jiro Tobikuma. Tonight, he scored an impressive victory over VCW co-
Commissioner Virginia, in a match stemming from Julian Page's apparent belief
that Virginia's booking caused him to lose the titles unfairly. But even for
someone who gave such an impressive showing in the Iron Man Match, winning
three matches in one night is no easy task, and we may have seen the last of
Julian Page holding two titles at once, or even one title for that matter.
Tonight, Troy Black's desire to beat the living hell out of Neytron
DelArmeggio proved to be stronger than his hatred for Falcon, who likewise put
aside his bad blood with Troy due to his desire to prove himself against Randy
Savage. The outcome of the resulting tag team match has disasterous
implications for Neytron; Troy Black pinned him cleanly in the middle of the
ring. Likewise, Falcon now has a little added momentum going into his match
with Randy Savage at Horror Show, after losing two tag team matches with Randy
Savage on the opposing team.
This also appears to be a good omen for Troy Black, but it may not be
indicative of the likely outcome of his match with Neytron at Horror Show.
While there was a lot of time in this match to let Falcon wrestle Neytron, and
when Troy wrestled Randy Savage, at the pay-per-view Troy Black will be getting
into the ring with a neck condition so severe doctors have advised him not to
compete for a year and a half, if at all, and he'll be going one-on-one with a
great technical wrestler known for targeting the necks of his opponents in
preparation for his Piledriver. Letting Troy Black compete in this match may
have been a big mistake; it's entirely possible that Neytron DelArmeggio could
leave Horror Show as VCW World Champion, and Troy Black could leave on a
stretcher, comatose or paralyzed.
We're only six days away from some of the most intense, emotionally-
charged matches in VCW history. All the titles are on the line, all the chips
are on the table, and even the office of VCW Commissioner hangs in the balance
at this Sunday's pay-per-view. What happens at Horror Show could change the
face of VCW for a long time, perhaps forever. You won't want to miss out on any
of the great action, so make sure you order Horror Show, live on pay-per-view,
this Sunday!!
