Match observations:
Horror Show left us with a lot of questions. Is Falcon an Inquisition
member or a conspiracy victim? And why did Gabriel Black cause Jessica Judd to
lose her match to Jennie? What sort of chaos could we expect when the Immortals
had to wrestle each other in an Evening Gown Match? These were the questions in
the minds of VCW fans at the start of tonight's show... and the answers are
starting to reveal themselves.
It turns out that Gabriel Black's relationship with Jessica Judd is a
thing of the past. Gabriel Black used the stipulation where Jessica agreed to
retire from wrestling if she lost to his advantage at Horror Show by making
sure that she did, in fact, lose. Losing a loser-leaves-town type match is
never a good experience, but to leave wrestling by losing to your talentless
former lackey after the one you love the most betrays you... man, that's rough.
As if people needed another reason to hate Gabriel Black...
Speaking of people that hate Gabriel Black, the returning Hunk Higgins
is the latest to extend a challenge to VCW's World Champion. Rex Richards and
Bass Rogers came to the ring to attempt to beat some humility into him... but
they were in for the shock of their lives when the Middle-Aged Outlaws actually
BEAT THEM!! This was, without a doubt, a MAJOR upset... it just goes to show,
anything can happen, really. Heck, if someone would lay down on the mat and
pull Haigeikobai on top of himself, MAYBE even Haigeikobai could win a match!
The Immortals wrestled their Evening Gown Match, as promised... and
leave it to them to actually get into a catfight, complete with scratching and
hair-pulling. VCW may be the only wrestling organization in the world where two
MEN get into a catfight. To make it even worse, Robert Danson, after being
stripped of his gown, was revealed to be wearing a bra and panties. Good
Lord... hese two really need to get their act together. On the plus side, many
of the fans found this match totally hilarious, as did DeJohnnyration X.
Virginia declined on Johnny's offer to wrestle an Evening Gown Match
together... but if it did happen, it wouldn't be the first inter-gender Evening
Gown Match in VCW.
Rob Solomon and Devaccio Pola have agreed to a Television Title match
when VCW presents its next pay-per-view event, Spontaneous Combustion, on
November twenty-first. But it was a somewhat bad omen for Rob Solomon today
when he and the Wrecking Crew lost fair and square to the Inquistion's
Manhunters and Torturer tonight, while Devaccio Pola defended the VCW
Television Title successfully once again in a match with "Stone Cold" Moy
Lazzario. Still, as far as tactics, ability, and size are concerned, Devaccio
Pola and Rob Solomon match up pretty evenly... it should be a close one.
Falcon didn't seem too eager to wrestle David Wright Hubbard when the
match was forced upon him by VCW Commissioner James Lockman tonight, and seemed
even less eager tonight when the match actually took place. As a matter of
fact, Falcon just decided to get up and leave; he took off running from David
Wright Hubbard after ten minutes or so, getting himself counted out. While you
could justify that as self-preservation, given David Wright Hubbard's current
mood, it's still not something that one would expect from Falcon.
But that wasn't the only fallout from Falcon's actions at Horror Show
last night. Those actions were enough to cast doubt on Falcon's refereeing
duties during the match about a month ago featuring Gabriel Black and Richard
Tobian in a cage, and Richard Tobian demanded a rematch, which he got tonight.
After a breathtakingly close near repeat of the match finish at Blood and
Thunder, Richard Tobian was still in the contest, having learned from his
previous mistakes. That changed abruptly when a mysterious woman emerged from
the crowd and hit Richard Tobian with a chair. James Applebee didn't want to
disqualify Gabriel Black and ruin Richard Tobian's title shot unjustly, so he
let the match continue. That turned out to be a bad idea as well; Gabriel Black
finished off the stunned Richard Tobian and successfully retained the VCW World
Title AGAIN.
We're still left with a few questions, but the answers are slowly coming
into focus. Maybe there's an explanation for everything, but after his somewhat
cowardly actions tonight, Falcon is covered in more red paint than ever. Is he
really a member of the Inquisition, or is this just a remarkable string of
coincidence? And what about Gabriel Black's female accomplice tonight, who
helped him defeat Richard Tobian for a fourth time? Who is she? And is she
possibly part of the reason that Gabriel Black quickly eliminated Jessica Judd
from the picture?
Things should become clearer next week, as VCW presents our next edition
of VCW Monday Night Wrestling. Many other people who had a prominent role in
the events that took place at Horror Show will be present, such as Troy Black,
Crimson, and all the members of the Technicians and the Golden Society! Also, it
has been all but confirmed that Gabriel Black WILL be in action next week as
well! Join us next week for all the excitement and fun of VCW Monday Night
Wrestling!
