Hello, VCW fans! We're back, and ready to continue Disaster Area 2001. We're ready to kick off the second portion of our show tonight, and we'll do that with a wrestling match. "Stormbringer" by Deep Purple starts playing as Chris Champlain steps out of the backstage entrance, greeted by a huge round of boos from the crowd. As usual, he's wearing a black, hooded robe that hides his face as he stalks to the ring. The crowd boos loudly as he slides inside, climbs to the second turnbuckle, and throws his head and arms back, flinging the robe off, laughing maniacally. But then he jumps down and slides out of the ring again... and sits on the apron, facing the backstage entrance. What's this all about?
"Liquid Mercury" by Jimmy Page starts playing over the sound system now, and the crowd bursts into cheers as "The California Crippler" Ken Collins steps out of the backstage entrance, and begins making his way to the ring. But Chris Champlain slips down onto the floor, then rushes up the ramp at him! They meet at the middle of the ramp, trading blows, and Ken Collins takes the upper hand, driving Chris Champlain back with chops and jabs. Chris Champlain is staggered, and Ken Collins charges forward with a clothesline... but Chris Champlain ducks, and slips around into a waistlock... RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX ON THE RAMP!! Ken Collins crashes against the steel, and lies motionless on the ramp as Chris Champlain gets up, surveying his work with a pleased expression on his face.
Chris Champlain pulls Ken Collins up and drags him to the bottom of the ramp, then takes him head-first into the ringsteps. Ken Collins collapses again, and Chris Champlain's looking under the ring... and he pulls out a chair wrapped in barbed wire! What's that doing under there!? Chris Champlain seemed to know right where to find it... perhaps he planted it there before the show! Ken Collins starts to get up... and Chris Champlain brings the barbed wire chair down right across his back! Ken Collins collapses back to the floor, with several bleeding scratches on his back, and Chris Champlain reaches under the ring again, this time pulling out a table! He sets up the table, then whacks Ken Collins with the barbed wire chair again, this time in the head, as he starts to get up. Ken Collins goes back down, and Chris Champlain sets him up on the table, then lays the barbed wire chair across his chest. This doesn't bode well...
Chris Champlain climbs to the top turnbuckle, facing away from Ken Collins... MOONSAULT!! Chris Champlain just landed right on the barbed wire chair with a moonsault and put Ken Collins through the table on the floor at the same time! The crowd's chanting "VCW!" and standing on their feet, but landing on that barbed wire-covered chair may have hurt Chris Champlain, too... there are a few deep, bleeding gouges in his chest. But Ken Collins, if anything, is even worse off, in the wreckage of the table, and Chris Champlain is up first! He rolls Ken Collins into the ring, then climbs in after him! Brendan Powers comes in and calls for the bell, and this match starts now!
Chris Champlain
vs.
"The California Crippler" Ken Collins
Ken Collins is already in pretty rough shape, and Chris Champlain immediately goes on the attack again as the match starts, pulling Ken Collins up, then leaping up and spinning to nail him with an enzuigiri! Ken Collins collapses to the mat, and Chris Champlain gets up, measures Ken Collins, and drills him right in the head with a kneedrop! And now he's kneeling at his side, but instead of going for the cover he just starts choking him! Brendan Powers begins counting, demanding that he release the chokehold, and Chris Champlain breaks cleanly at the four count. Brendan Powers is warning him that he'll have to follow the rules now that the match has actually started, but Chris Champlain just ignores him, pulling Ken Collins up again.
Chris Champlain whips Ken Collins into the ropes... no, Ken Collins reverses it somehow! Chris Champlain comes off the other side, and Ken Collins catches him in a Samoan Drop as he comes off! Chris Champlain's down... but so's Ken Collins, whose bell was rung quite a bit in that attack on the outside. He's down, and Chris Champlain actually gets up first. He pulls Ken Collins up again, but Ken Collins nails him with a right hand to the midsection this time! Chris Champlain doubles over briefly, then goes to retaliate with a punch of his own, but Ken Collins blocks it, and punches Chris Champlain again! Chris Champlain staggers back, then throws a spin kick at Ken Collins, but Ken Collins grabs his foot, whips him to the mat by it, and turns him over into an ankle lock submission!! The crowd cheers, and Chris Champlain yells out in pain and scrambles to the nearby ropes, earning a clean break.
Chris Champlain gets up, but Ken Collins is up first, growing angry as he tries to shake off the effects of the pre-match violence. He nails Chris Champlain with a swift kick to the right ankle, then hooks him in a front chancery and gives him a big snap suplex! Chris Champlain pulls himself to his feet again, a little wobbly, but Ken Collins just whips him into the corner, then draws back and nails him with a stiff chest chop! The crowd goes "whoooo", and drops of blood and sweat fly off of Chris Champlain's chest with the impact! Chris Champlain is rocked back in the corner by the blow, and Ken Collins draws back and chops him again, with similar results! Chris Champlain slumps forward, and Ken Collins grabs him in a headlock, then takes a running start and brings him down with a bulldog!
Chris Champlain's down on the mat, and Ken Collins holds his right leg down straight, then raises up and drops a knee into his right ankle! Chris Champlain yells out in pain, and Ken Collins raises up and does it again!! This is a smart strategy from Ken Collins... Chris Champlain's right ankle was injured during his match at Wrestlewar III, and may have some lingering weakness. He struggles free, then pulls himself up, but Ken Collins keeps after him, nailing him in the face with a pair of right hands, then whipping him into the ropes and bringing him down with a dropkick as he comes off the other side! Chris Champlain goes down again, and now Ken Collins grabs his foot again, looking to take him over for an ankle lock submission, but Chris Champlain sees it coming and kicks him away with his left foot!
Ken Collins comes in again, but Chris Champlain has time to scramble to his feet this time. Ken Collins's upper body is spotted with bleeding wounds, and he's moving a little bit sluggishly after taking several bumps to the head early on... Chris Champlain may actually still have the advantage. They lock up, and Chris Champlain takes control with a kneelift to the gut, then takes Ken Collins down with a reverse neckbreaker. The crowd boos, and Chris Champlain smiles maliciously at Ken Collins, measuring him as he starts to stand, then drills him with a big right hand blow that sends him back down to one knee. Chris Champlain grabs Ken Collins now and tosses him out of the ring, then climbs up to the top turnbuckle. Ken Collins gets up, and Chris Champlain leaps off... CORKSCREW BODYPRESS!! Chris Champlain goes down on top of Ken Collins in a heap at ringside, and in spite of their dislike of Chris Champlain, the crowd can't contain a healthy round of cheers!
Chris Champlain gets up first, and he pulls Ken Collins up and whips him back-first into the guardrail. With Ken Collins slumped against the rail, Chris Champlain limps over to him, then nails him in the chest with a massive chop of his own! More blood flies off of Ken Collins's chest, some of it landing in the crowd, as he yells in pain and the crowd goes "whoooo". Chris Champlain draws back and nails Ken Collins with a second chop... but Ken Collins absorbs this one, becoming angry, then steps forward and nails Chris Champlain with a chop of his own, sending more blood and sweat flying! Chris Champlain fires back with another chop, but Ken Collins absorbs that one too, then staggers Chris Champlain with a return chop, and follows up with another that knocks him off of his feet! Chris Champlain begins scrambling away, trying to avoid Ken Collins, but Ken Collins grabs him by the hair and pulls him closer... only to get a low blow from Chris Champlain!
Ken Collins crumples up and falls to the mat, and now Chris Champlain's pulling him up by the hair, and he rams him head-first into the apron! Ken Collins is stunned, and Chris Champlain lifts him up, then sets him on the top turnbuckle, facing the crowd, and climbs up after him, facing into the ring... he's looking for a top-rope piledriver into the ring! But Ken Collins blocks it, and backdrops Chris Champlain high into the air from the top turnbuckle, sending him crashing to the mat inside the ring! Ken Collins hops down into the ring after him, as he gets up shakily, then gives him a dropkick to the ankle that takes him down to one knee! With Chris Champlain doubled over, Ken Collins grabs him from behind and brings him down with a belly-to-back suplex, then grabs his foot and slides to the outside of the ring holding it. He pulls his foot out just over the edge of the apron, then raises it... and brings the ankle down on the edge of the apron! Chris Champlain convulses, yelling out in pain... but that doesn't stop Ken Collins from doing it again! He's matching Chris Champlain for sheer viciousness so far, taking out all his aggression from the events of the past few months in this match!
Brendan Powers gives Ken Collins a warning, so he releases Chris Champlain's ankle and pulls himself up on the apron. Chris Champlain pulls himself away and gets up, then turns to Ken Collins with a limp... just as Ken Collins leaps up on the top rope, then leaps off onto him with a springboard cross bodypress! Chris Champlain goes down under him, and Ken Collins hooks a leg for the first pin attempt of this match! Brendan Powers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half by Chris Champlain! Ken Collins grabs Chris Champlain and starts to pull him up... but instead, Chris Champlain grabs his head, then brings him down with a jawbreaker!
Chris Champlain gets up, but he's limping pretty heavily now. Perhaps he wasn't fully recovered from his injuries, or perhaps he aggravated his condition with that dive to the outside... but in any case, he's still coming after Ken Collins aggressively, giving him a kneelift to the face as he attempts to stand, then grabbing him by the hair, pulling him up, and smashing him head-first into the turnbuckles. Ken Collins staggers out, and Chris Champlain hooks him in a front chancery, then lifts and drops... BRAIN BUSTER!! He just drilled Ken Collins with that brain buster... but he's not even going for the pin! That could have done it, but instead, he's just getting up... and he drops a knee on Ken Collins's head! What's he trying to do, crack his skull open? Now he's going for the cover... no, he's crouching over him, but only to rain a series of punches down on him! Brendan Powers forces Chris Champlain off, warning him about the closed fists, but Chris Champlain doesn't seem too concerned with that.
Once again, Chris Champlain pulls Ken Collins up, and he's throwing him out of the ring again! Chris Champlain follows Ken Collins to the outside, opting not to leap off of the top turnbuckle again this time, and pulls him to the steel ramp. On the steel ramp, he hits him with a series of knees to the gut, then puts on a standing headscissors and lifts... PILEDRIVER ON THE RAMP!! That might have just knocked Ken Collins out... the crowd's booing loudly, and Chris Champlain's smiling down at him as he lies motionless on the ramp! After several seconds of admiring his handiwork, Chris Champlain is forced out of his violent reverie by Brendan Powers's count, and he grabs Ken Collins and rolls him into the ring. He climbs in after him and hooks a leg, looking to end this match... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Shoulder up at two and three-quarters!! Ken Collins had at least ten or fifteen seconds to recover there, and that's probably all that saved him from the pin... he's barely conscious as it is!
Chris Champlain doesn't seem frustrated or upset... instead, he's actually smiling! He pulls Ken Collins up again and nails him with a headbutt, sending him staggering back into the ropes, then whips him to the other side. Ken Collins comes off the ropes... and Chris Champlain whirls around in the middle of the ring, catching him square in the temple with a rolling elbowsmash! Ken Collins goes down, possibly out, and Chris Champlain's still not going for the cover... instead, he drags him nearer to a corner, then climbs up... could this be... SPLIT-LEGGED MOONSAULT!! Chris Champlain just hit Ken Collins with the Split-Legged Moonsault, and coupled with the rolling elbowsmash, that could be what ends this match! He covers Ken Collins, and Brendan Powers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THRE... Shoulder up at two and nine-tenths!! Ken Collins just barely stayed in this match!
Chris Champlain just looks down at Ken Collins, smiling again, then pulls him up into a standing headscissors and hooks him arms, possibly looking for a tiger driver... but Ken Collins backdrops out of it! Chris Champlain gets up and makes a limping charge at Ken Collins for a clothesline... but Ken Collins ducks, and wrapfrom behind and lifts him for a belly-to-back suplex... Chris Champlain flips out behind him, but lands on his right ankle and is incapacitated by the pain! Ken Collins bends down and reaches between his legs, grabbing Chris Champlain's right ankle then rolls forward and comes up behind Chris Champlain with the ankle lock submission... but Chris Champlain's too close to the ropes, and he just reaches out and grabs them!
Ken Collins savagely holds on, taking nearly all of Brendan Powers's five-count, but then he gets up. Chris Champlain starts to pull himself to his feet as well, but Ken Collins slips behind and grabs a waistlock, then brings him down with a release German suplex!! Chris Champlain's down in a heap, and Ken Collins starts going up to the top turnbuckle. Chris Champlain gets up, and turns to face Ken Collins... FLYING DROPKICK!! That could be it! Ken Collins crawls across Chris Champlain, and hooks his leg... Brendan Powers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Shoulder up at two and three-quarters! Somehow, Chris Champlain is still in this match as well!
Ken Collins gets up, looking down at Chris Champlain angrily, then scoops him up across a shoulder, perhaps for a shoulderbreaker or running powerslam... but Chris Champlain slips out behind him, this time landing on his left foot first, and slips around to take Ken Collins down with a Russian legsweep! Both men are down after that... but Chris Champlain's getting up first! He's limping, but Ken Collins is still down on the mat, and Chris Champlain drops down for the cover. Brendan Powers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Shoulder up at two and three-quarters!! And once again, Chris Champlain seems almost happy that Ken Collins isn't done yet!
Chris Champlain drags Ken Collins to the corner, and he's going up to the top turnbuckle again. He could be looking for a second Split-Legged Moonsault... but he's getting up there a little slowly this time, and Ken Collins is up behind him! He's not quite as out of it as he led Chris Champlain to believe... and he leaps up to nail Chris Champlain with a dropkick to the ankle as he reaches the top turnbuckle! Chris Champlain falls groin-first across the top turnbuckle... and now Ken Collins is climbing up with him! He hooks him in a waistlock, and the crowd comes to its feet... TOP-ROPE GERMAN SUPLEX!! Chris Champlain very nearly lands on his head on the mat, then flops over into a motionless heap. But Ken Collins is getting back up, and he grabs Chris Champlain's foot... ANKLE LOCK SUBMISSION!! This time, he has it on in the middle of the ring... but after that top-rope German suplex, it doesn't even look like Chris Champlain's conscious to submit! Brendan Powers checks down with him briefly, then calls for the bell!!
Ken
Collins made Chris Champlain submit to an ankle lock submission

Rating: *** 3/4
The match is over... and after a warning from Brendan Powers, Ken Collins releases the ankle lock and gets up. He's sweating, covered with bleeding lacerations, and may have some nasty head trauma, but he's emerging from this match with a victory, after coming back from getting the worse of a violent pre-match brawl! He still has a lot of rage in his eyes as he looks away from the defeated form of Chris Champlain... you can bet if Lorenzo Vasquez survives his match with Jimmy Lockman, he's got more punishment coming from Ken Collins. He's leaving the ring now... and he shrugs off the help of the trainers as they come out.
As the trainers begin to lead Chris Champlain away, we're getting ready to go into our next match... and hold on just a second! Four men in ninja suits and masks are heading for empty seats in the front row of the arena... what're they doing here? Previously, two men in ninja suits turned up at No Quarter, only to leave after watching a pair of the matches, and since that time, ninjas have been sighted sneaking around backstage at VCW events. Now, these four men... what are they doing here? We don't have time to worry about that now, though... we're going to go backstage, where we understand Amy Lin is showing off a new set of ring attire for her match tonight!
Backstage...
Rebecca Black and Troy Black are sitting backstage in the Black Plague dressing room, watching the door of the room in anticipation. The door opens and Amy Lin steps inside, wearing a tight leather bodysuit, cut low at the top to leave her shoulders, upper back, and cleavage bare, revealing all of the enticing curves of her body. Rebecca Black smiles immediately upon seeing her, but Troy Black's reaction is a more reserved smile as he admires her silently.
R. Black: Damn, girl... you weren't kidding you said you'd wear something special tonight! You look so good I'd drink a tub of your bathwater.
Amy Lin smiles and spins around slowly, giving them a full view of her new ring attire.
A. Lin: What do you think, Troy... does this look good on me?
T. Black: It'll look even better on the floor of my hotel room tonight.
A. Lin: I'll take that as a yes, then. And the best thing about this... it's armor. All those swift kicks to the abdomen and back that Melissa likes... this is leather. It reduces the impact. Not that I need it... but I don't want to have any unsightly bruises when this is lying on the hotel floor tonight. No... don't compliment me now. You can tell me what a mastermind I am later, after I kick Melissa's ass from one end of the arena to the other.
R. Black: All right. Hey, we've still got some time until your match... sit down here and join us. We're just about to watch the next match... it's a Johnny Smiles match. It should be some really funny shit, knowing him. Right, Troy?
T. Black: Well... let's just say I always think it's funny when Johnny Smiles tries to wrestle. Almost as funny as Sandis Arlington claiming to be a better wrestler than I am.
A. Lin: All right. But I have to keep this thing on until my match is ready, so don't go getting any ideas.
Amy Lin sits down with Rebecca Black and Troy Black on either side of her on the sofa, as the camera fades out on the backstage scene.
Wow... what a choice in ringwear. We'll see that outfit and the woman inside it in action later, but now we're going ahead with our next match! "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye begins playing over the arena sound system, and the crowd explodes into boos as "Double R" Rex Richards comes out of the backstage entrance, flanked by Minako, Sophie, and Komachi. He looks confident and eager, and he has a big opportunity coming up... he's facing Johnny Smiles, one-on-one, for the VCW Intercontinental Title! He enters the ring, and the three women peel his robe away, then begin performing a martial arts display around him as he kneels and flexes his muscles, bathed in a flashing red and gold spotlight. As the display comes to an end, the women turn and drape themselves around his body, and he takes off his sunglasses, then hands them to Komachi. The posing's done, and Rex Richards turns to face the backstage entrance, awaiting the appearance of the VCW Intercontinental Champion.
"Degenerated" by the Lone Rangers begins playing over the arena sound system, and the crowd explodes into cheers as the VCW Intercontinental Champion, Johnny Smiles, steps out of the backstage entrance! The crowd's on its feet, and even one of the ninjas at ringside holds up a "JOHNNY SMILES IS MY HERO" sign, before one of the others smacks him in the back of the head, forcing him to put the sign down. Johnny Smiles runs to the ring, slapping hands with the fans near the aisle on his way, then slides inside... and Rex Richards attacks him immediately, stomping at him before he can even stand up! Linda Peterson enters the ring, calling for the bell, and we're starting this match now!
For the VCW Intercontinental Title:
Johnny Smiles (c)
vs.
"Double R" Rex
Richards
w/Minako, Sophie, & Komachi
Rex Richards immediately begins stomping on Johnny as he comes in, then pulls him up and clobbers him across the back a few times. He pulls Johnny up and backs him into the ropes with a few punches, then whips him into the other side... but Johnny comes off, ducks a clothesline, then runs into the other side and comes off with a high cross body... but Rex Richards catches him, and brings him crashing down across a knee with a backbreaker! The crowd boos, and Rex Richards lets out a cocky laugh as Johnny writhes on the mat. It's pretty clear even from the start that Rex Richards has a fairly significant advantage in terms of size and power here.
Rex Richards pulls Johnny Smiles up, then smashes him across the back of the neck with a few meaty forearm smashes and scoops him up, driving him to the mat with a bodyslam. Rex Richards backs up, then steps forward and drops a knee on Johnny Smiles. He goes for the cover, hooking a leg, as Linda Peterson counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Johnny Smiles! Rex Richards pulls Johnny up again, then whips him to the ropes, but Johnny ducks underneath a clothesline again and wraps around behind Rex Richards, then lifts him and brings him crashing to the mat with a belly-to-back suplex! Rex Richards gets up, but Johnny runs at him and nails him with a dropkick, sending him back down!
Rex Richards rolls out of the ring, trying to buy himself some time and confer with his valets, but Johnny Smiles goes out after him. Minako gets in his way, but Johnny Smiles just scoops her up and dumps her unceremoniously on her butt to the side! Sophie lets out an "Eep!" and jumps out of his way to avoid a similar treatment, and Johnny Smiles grabs Rex Richards and gives him a kneelift, then rams him head-first into the apron! But Minako confronts Linda Peterson, protesting to Johnny's treatment of her on the outside, and with Linda Peterson distracted, Komachi clobbers Johnny Smiles from behind! He turns around and takes a swing at her, but Komachi blocks it as she goes into a spin, and nails Johnny Smiles right across the face with a uraken!!
Rex Richards shakes off the effects of Johnny's offense and rolls him back into the ring as Minako stops distracting Linda Peterson. Rex Richards goes on the attack, stomping away at Johnny Smiles, then begins choking him against the ropes. Linda Peterson threatens him with disqualification and begins counting, and Rex Richards gives a clean break just before five. Linda Peterson backs him up, warning him of how close he just came to disqualification... but now Minako starts choking Johnny Smiles against the bottom rope, as Komachi climbs up on the apron... and Komachi drops a leg across the back of Johnny's head!! They step to the side and feign innocence as Linda Peterson turns around... but now Rex Richards is coming back over, and he runs forward and jumps down on Johnny's back, choking him further against the ropes!
At Linda Peterson's insistence, Rex Richards finally pulls Johnny Smiles up... and he lifts him high above his head in a Gorilla Press! He pumps Johnny Smiles up and down in the air a few times, showing his power, then pitches him to the canvas! Johnny Smiles crashes to a heap on the mat, and Rex Richards... begins posing. He's kneeling and flexing his muscles in the ring, drawing boos from the crowd, but appreciative cheers and applause from Minako and Sophie, as Komachi looks a him with a calmer, darker look of lust. Johnny Smiles begins to pull himself up off of the mat, but Rex Richards pulls him up, then nails Johnny across the back of the neck with a few forearm smashes and puts him in a standing headscissors. He goes for a piledriver... but Johnny Smiles blocks! Rex Richards grimaces and tries to lift him again, but again, Johnny Smiles blocks it... and this time, Johnny Smiles takes him down, countering with a backdrop!
Rex Richards gets up and charges as Johnny tries to shake off some of the punishment, but Johnny takes him down with a drop-toe hold as he comes in! Rex Richards gets up again, but Johnny's waiting on him as he does, and he nails him with a kneelift to the midsection, then runs into the ropes and comes off to hit a swinging neckbreaker! Rex Richards starts to pull himself up again, and Johnny Smiles nails him with a headbutt, sending him staggering back, then whips him into the corner. Rex Richards crashes hard into the turnbuckles, and Johnny Smiles follows him in, nailing him in the chest with a dropkick that rocks him back, then causes him to fall on his backside on the mat, sitting in the corner! Johnny Smiles gets up, then runs back to the opposite corner, then charges in again with a second dropkick, this one aimed lower to connect with Rex Richards's chest again in the sitting position! Rex Richards convulses and clutches his chest, and Johnny Smiles drags him out of the corner by the feet, then grabs his feet and flips over him into a double-leg cradle! Linda Peterson counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... And Rex Richards kicks out at two!
Johnny Smiles steps out to the apron, then climbs up to the top turnbuckle as Rex Richards gets up. He leaps off of the top turnbuckle with a flying axhandle, but Rex Richards catches him out of the air in his arms, avoiding the worst of the axhandle blow, then gives Johnny a huge overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Johnny crashes to the mat, and starts to pull himself up... but Rex Richards charges him and nails him with a big clothesline! Johnny Smiles goes down, and Rex Richards runs into the ropes, then comes off with a big splash!! He covers Johnny Smiles and hooks his leg, and Linda Peterson goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Johnny Smiles!
Rex Richards pulls Johnny Smiles up, then knees him in the gut, puts on a headlock, and whips him to the mat with a headlock takedown. He holds him on the mat, keeping the headlock applied and grinding down on it, as Linda Peterson checks in with Johnny Smiles. Johnny's fighting it, but Rex Richards is keeping him square on the mat in the middle of the ring, grinding in the headlock, and he's not making any progress. The crowd starts chanting "JOHNNY!!", and despite Rex Richards looking around furiously, yelling for them to shut up, the chant continues! Johnny begins trembling, as if gaining strength from those chants, and then begins to fight the headlock!
Johnny Smiles forces his way up first to one knee, then to his feet, despite Rex Richards holding on the headlock and applying more pressure. The crowd's cheering wildly, and Johnny Smiles breaks the headlock, then whips Rex Richards into the ropes and comes off the other side... but Minako trips him as he runs into the ropes, and he stumbles forward right into a leaping kneelift from Rex Richards! Johnny Smiles goes down, and Rex Richards grabs him by the hair and reapplies the headlock on the mat, getting a huge round of boos from the crowd. It's a smart strategy, keeping Johnny Smiles immobilized and exerting as little effort as possible himself, but it's not a popular one with the crowd.
But Johnny Smiles is fighting again, and the crowd starts getting behind him. Rex Richards keeps putting on the pressure, but Johnny's fighting, trying to get up out of the hold, and once again he makes it back to his feet! This time, he grabs Rex Richards by the waist, then braces himself and lifts, bringing him crashing to the mat in a belly-to-back suplex! But both men are down from that move. They both get up a little slowly, and Rex Richards throws a punch at Johnny, but Johnny Smiles blocks it, and returns fire with a punch of his own, then another, and another! He whips Rex Richards into the ropes, and puts his head down for a backdrop... but maybe he telegraphed it a bit too much, because Rex Richards takes him down with a kneesmash facebuster!! The crowd boos, but Rex Richards gets up and points to his cranium, smiling proudly, as the ladies at ringside applaud his ingenuity.
Rex Richards pulls Johnny Smiles up and puts on a front chancery, then lifts him and brings him down with a huge vertical suplex! Johnny Smiles convulses on the mat, and Rex Richards drops an elbow on him, then hooks a leg for the cover. Linda Peterson counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half! Rex Richards pulls him up again, then twists him around and brings him down with a reverse neckbreaker, and once again he goes for the cover. Linda Peterson counts again... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... And Johnny kicks out at two and a half again! Rex Richards smiles and draws a thumb across his throat, then lifts Johnny in a fireman's carry, preparing perhaps for the Death Valley Driver... but Johnny kicks and squirms and slips out behind him! Rex Richards whirls around, leading with his fist, but Johnny ducks the punch and slips behind, hooking his arm, then hooks the other arm for a full nelson and sweeps his legs, sending Rex Richards face-first to the mat!
Johnny Smiles gets up, shaking off some of the punishment he's taken, then runs into the ropes, coming off to nail Rex Richards with a dropkick as he stands! Rex Richards goes down, and gets up a little more slowly, but this time Johnny slips to the side and takes him down with a Russian legsweep! Rex Richards starts to get up again, but Johnny Smiles kicks him into the midsection, then leaps up and takes him down with a Frankensteiner, hooking his legs in a cradle when they land! Linda Peterson counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... And Rex Richards kicks out at two! Undaunted, Johnny gets up and gives him another swift kick to the midsection... but this time Rex Richards catches his foot... but Johnny leaps up and nails him with an enzuigiri!!
Rex Richards collapses to the mat, and Johnny hauls him up quickly, then whips him into the ropes. Johnny Smiles runs into the other side, and leaps into the air to nail Rex Richards with a running leaping forearm smash in the middle of the ring! Rex Richards goes down like a fallen tree, and Johnny Smiles steps back, stomping the mat as he takes aim for a superkick!! Rex Richards starts to get up... but Komachi reaches in from the outside and grabs Double R's legs, pulling him to the outside before Johnny can connect with his superkick!! Minako, Komachi, and Sophie pull Rex Richards into a protective huddle on the outside, but Johnny's seen enough... he slides to the outside of the ring! Komachi takes a swing at him, but he blocks and... kisses her!? What's that all about!? Johnny just kissed Komachi, and Minako pulls him away, then draws back a hand to slap him... BUT JOHNNY SPITS BLUE MIST IN HER FACE!!! Johnny just stole the blue mist from Komachi and spit it in Minako's face, and Sophie bursts into a fit of giggling at that... but Komachi takes offense to that and begins advancing on her threateningly, sending her into a fit of babbling apologies.
With the valets temporarily neutralized, Johnny Smiles moves in on Rex Richards... but Rex Richards has recovered now, and he nails Johnny with a low blow! The crowd boos loudly, Johnny doubles over, and Rex Richards grabs his head and rams him head-first into the ringsteps. Rex Richards rolls Johnny Smiles back into the ring, then drills him with a knee to the midsection and pulls him up in a fireman's carry again. Rex Richards drops... DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!! He just drove Johnny right down into the mat, and that could finish this match decisively... but first, he's getting up and posing! He stops to flex his muscles, standing over Johnny's fallen body, then covers him and hooks a leg. Linda Peterson goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters!! Johnny Smiles just kicked out after the Death Valley Driver!!
Rex Richards stops briefly to argue the count with Linda Peterson, but she's adamantly insisting that it wasn't three. Disgusted, he pulls Johnny Smiles up and hooks him in front facelock, looking for a DDT... but Johnny Smiles somehow fights him off and shoves him back! Enraged, Rex Richards charges back at him with a clothesline, but Johnny Smiles ducks! Rex Richards turns around... SUPERKICK!! Johnny Smiles just hit Rex Richards with the superkick, sending him crashing down even though it looked like a slightly weak hit... but he collapses to the mat, unable to capitalize on it! Both men are down now!
Rex Richards is getting up first even after that superkick... but maybe that's not so surprising given the Death Valley Driver Johnny just took, and the fact that Rex Richards didn't catch all of that superkick. Johnny's getting up too, though... but Minako jumps up on the apron, distracting Linda Peterson! Komachi starts to slide into the ring, but at the same time Sophie grabs a chair and hands it to Rex Richards as he looks to the outside! Rex Richards grabs the chair and turns back to Johnny... but Johnny's up now, AND HE SUPERKICKS THE CHAIR INTO HIS FACE!! Komachi rushes him, pivoting and swinging another uraken at him, but Johnny ducks, and as he does he bends down and picks up the chair! Komachi turns around... JOHNNY NAILS HER WITH THE CHAIR!!
Komachi's down! Rex Richards is still down!! Johnny Smiles raises the chair above his head as he turns to Rex Richards... but then he shakes his head "no" and tosses the chair aside! Instead, he lifts Rex Richards up on his shoulders in a fireman's carry, then spins... SMILEDRIVER!! Linda Peterson turns back around, as Komachi rolls out of the ring, clutching her head, and Johnny Smiles covers Rex Richards, hooking the leg! Linda Peterson counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THREE!! Johnny Smiles retains!!
Johnny
Smiles pinned Rex Richards after the Smiledriver in 0:17:12.
Rating: * 3/4
(Johnny Smiles retained the VCW Intercontinental Title.)
Johnny Smiles gets up, and Linda Peterson places the VCW Intercontinental Title in his hands and raises them in victory to a thunderous roar of cheers from the crowd! Johnny Smiles has overcome this challenge to his title in a big way! This wasn't a fluke, this wasn't a throwaway match... this was a decisive victory by our VCW Intercontinental Champion, and it goes a lot further than Rex Richards's ill-gotten tag team victories in establishing which of these two men is the superior competitor. The crowd's cheering Johnny's victory loudly, and the men in ninja suits are also applauding! Even Sophie joins in the "JOHNNY!" chant as he celebrates on one of the top turnbuckles, then slides out of the ring and begins heading backstage.
Sophie trails off in the chant as Johnny disappears through the backstage entrance, and she turns around, only to find that Komachi and Minako are staring at her, looking less than pleased. On the inside of the ring, Rex Richards is getting up, holding his head... and Komachi nails Sophie with a kick to the midsection, doubling her over, and Minako nails her with a few martial arts shots of her own! They roll Sophie into the ring, and now they're climbing in after her!
Komachi clobbers Sophie with a right hand, knocking her back down, then pulls her up into a standing headscissors... she's going to power bomb her!! Rex Richards straightens up, though, and he sees what Komachi's about to do, and immediately grabs her arms, stopping her. He pulls Sophie away from Komachi, drawing an angry, disgusted look from her, then pulls Sophie in close, cradling her in his arms, and uses one hand to stroke her cheek, earning a smile of genuine gratitude from her, which he returns... AND HE KNEES HER IN THE GUT!! Damn it, what's he doing!? He pulls Sophie into a standing headscissors himself, and gives a thumbs-down sign. He lifts... POWER BOMB!! Sophie's head bounces off of the mat from the impact, and she flops over onto her belly in a motionless heap!!
Rex Richards just laid Sophie out, and now he rolls out of the ring and starts walking backstage with Minako and Komachi, who seem pleased that he decided to attack Sophie. The crowd boos... and as Rex Richards heads backstage, the four ninjas hop the guardrail!! Who are these men? What are they doing!? They slide into the ring with Sophie, and produce lengths of thin black rope from their suits, then use it to bind her hands and ankles! That's not necessary right now, since she's laid out and defenseless, but they're taking no chances! One of them grabs Sophie, thus bound, and another one of them yells "NINJA!! RETREAT!!" They immediately slide out of the ring and climb back over the guardrail, retreating through the crowd with Sophie! Minako points back at them, indicating Sophie's predicament to Rex Richards, but he just waves dismissively at the situation and continues to head backstage. The ninjas take Sophie through the crowd to an exit and disappear through it, as Rex Richards disappears through the backstage entrance. Sophie was just kidnapped by ninjas, thanks in no small part to the post-match attack by Rex Richards!!
We're moving on to our next match now... and "Sad But True" by Metallica is playing over the arena sound system, bringing out Melissa DelArmeggio, accompanied by Christina Ellis, to an explosion of cheers from the crowd. She comes to the ring and slides inside, then climbs to one of the top turnbuckles, posing for the crowd to a loud round of cheers. As she steps down, Christina Ellis comes over to give her a few last-minute bits of advice, but Melissa doesn't even seem to be listening, instead staring vacantly at the backstage entrance, awaiting the entrance of Amy Lin.
Now "You Oughtta Know" by Alanis Morissette begins playing over the arena sound system, and that prompts a huge round of boos from the crowd as Amy Lin steps out of the backstage entrance, accompanied by Rebecca Black. She turns to Rebecca Black, pointing at Melissa in the ring, and says something to her, causing them both to break out into a fit of giggles... but Melissa slides out of the ring and begins charging up the ramp!! Amy Lin turns back to her with surprise, but Melissa springs up and takes her down with a leaping spin kick to the face! Rebecca Black takes a swing at her, but Melissa blocks it, then pivots and nails Rebecca Black with a spin kick to the head! Melissa DelArmeggio grabs Amy Lin and begins backing her down the ramp with a series of punches, then nails her with another spinning kick to the face, sending her tumbling down to ringside! Amy Lin gets up, begging off, but Melissa DelArmeggio rolls her into the ring, then climbs in after her! Bobcat McGavin enters the ring and calls for the bell, and this match begins now!!
Melissa DelArmeggio
w/Christina Ellis
vs.
Amy Lin
w/Rebecca Black
Amy Lin gets up and tries to back away, begging for a time out, but Melissa hauls her to her feet and tosses her into the corner, then pelts her with a series of kicks to the midsection! Each kick rings out with a resounding "SMACK!" on the leather, and the grimace on Amy Lin's face with each blow shows that her new attire isn't cushioning all of the impact from those kicks. Melissa shifts gears and starts nailing Amy Lin in the face with a series of right hands, and each blow sends her head snapping back wildly and rocks it in the corner. Amy Lin staggers out of the corner, and Melissa measures her, then nails her with a kick to the face that sends her crashing to the mat!
Amy Lin begins scooting away on her bottom, making a "T" with her hands to signal for a time-out, but Melissa just grabs her by the legs and hauls her forward into the middle of the ring! Amy Lin shakes her head "no" furiously, but Melissa holds Amy's legs spread... KNEEDROP TO THE GROIN!! Rebecca Black screams in horror as Amy Lin matches it with a scream of pain, doubling over into a ball on the mat! But Melissa's not giving her any respite... she crouches over Amy Lin, and begins pelting her in the face with several stiff right hand blows! Amy Lin's powerless to do anything except for curl up and whimper pitifully against the inner fury that Melissa's displaying here, and the crowd's on its feet cheering for it!
Bobcat McGavin orders Melissa to get up off of Amy, and she does... but now she's pulling her up into a standing headscissors. She lifts for a power bomb... but somehow, Amy's able to counter it with a Frankensteiner! She lands on top of Melissa and rolls fluidly back with the move to come up at Melissa's feet, holding one of her legs, and slap on a kneebar!! Melissa's face contorts as she cries out in pain, and she quickly scrambles to the ropes. Bobcat McGavin orders Amy Lin to release Melissa and begins counting, but she holds on even past the five-count! Bobcat McGavin threatens her with disqualification if she doesn't break immediately, but Amy just yells "FUCK OFF!" and leans back further on the hold... but Bobcat McGavin grabs her by the hair and pulls her off of Melissa!!
Amy Lin whirls around, angrily confronting Bobcat McGavin about putting his hands on her... and she slaps him across the face! Bobcat McGavin stares at her incredulously, then begins shaking a finger at her, warning her again... but Melissa DelArmeggio's up behind Amy! Rebecca Black cries out a warning, and Amy Lin whirls around, right into a kick to the face from Melissa!! Amy Lin goes down again, and this time she's rolling out of the ring, trying to escape Melissa's wrath... but Melissa leaps up on the top rope, then jumps out onto Amy with a twisting springboard bodypress to the floor!! Amy Lin goes down in a heap under Melissa DelArmeggio, and the crowd explodes into cheers! The seemingly miraculous recovery of her leg from the kneebar not withstanding, that was a hell of a move by Melissa!
Melissa's up first, and she crouches over Amy Lin, punching her in the face repeatedly. She pulls Amy Lin up, then puts her in an inverted facelock and lifts... then suplexes her down gut-first across the guardrail!! Amy Lin cringes in pain, and one of the fans reaches forward and gooses her leather-clad posterior, but is quickly shoved back away from her by a member of the H.A.R.P. Squad. But Melissa's back up on the apron, and she climbs to the top turnbuckle, then takes flight as Amy stands up near the front row... leaping OVER the guardrail to nail Amy with a flying cross bodypress into the stands!! Amy and Melissa go down in a heap in the laps of the fans in the front row, and the fans don't seem to mind all that much!
Once again, Melissa's up first, and she tosses Amy Lin back over the guardrail. Amy gets up on the other side... and Melissa springs up on the guardrail, then leaps off to nail her with a flying clothesline... but Amy ducks!! Melissa DelArmeggio sails over her head and crash-lands on the mat! Melissa starts to get up, but even after the abuse she's taken so far Amy Lin has the presence of mind to stun her with a kick to the head, then ram her head-first into the steel ringpost. Christina Ellis watches with concern, and Amy Lin walks right over to her, getting in her face... and she slaps Christina Ellis! Christina puts a hand to her cheek, then reaches forward to strike Amy... but hesitates, not wanting to risk Melissa's disqualification, only to have Rebecca Black come from behind and nail her with a steel chair!!
Amy turns around as Melissa DelArmeggio gets up, busted open from the ringpost shot and bleeding profusely. Amy Lin just smiles and launches another kick to the head at Melissa, taking her down again, then rolls her inside of the ring. She reaches under the ring... and she finds a broom handle!! She's not going to... she breaks it across her knee, then slides into the ring with one of the jagged pieces of it! Melissa's getting up in the ring, but her vision's obscured by the blood on her face, and Amy Lin sends her back down with another kick to the face. She stands over Melissa's fallen body, raising the jagged end of the broom handle over Melissa's face... don't do it!! Bobcat McGavin's threatening a disqualification, but Amy Lin smiles evilly, then thrusts down... but Melissa rolls out of the way!!
Amy Lin stabbed the mat, and she turns around... but Melissa desperately pops to her feet, blocks a spinning kick by Amy Lin, then pulls her to the mat by the leg! Melissa looks down at the broken broom handle again, seeing Amy's intent... and a horrific look of pure rage crosses her blood-covered face. Amy Lin gets up, but Melissa DelArmeggio just kicks her in the midsection, then pivots around... BACK BRAIN KICK!! That could do it!! Amy Lin goes down, but Melissa just pulls her up into a standing headscissors!! She lifts her... POWER BOMB!! Amy bounces off the canvas to lie in a motionless heap, and the crowd explodes into cheers!! Melissa is destroying Amy Lin again!
But Rebecca Black's up on the apron, and she climbs into the ring! She charges Melissa, intending to save Amy, but she takes a kick to the midsection as well, then Melissa grabs her and tosses her out of the ring! Amy Lin's up, and trying to crawl away... but Melissa DelArmeggio grabs her by the leg! Amy Lin's struggling and crawling, trying to escape, but Melissa's dragging her back into the ring by the leg... AND AMY UNZIPS HER LEATHER SUIT!! Melissa tightens her grip and pulls, BUT AMY SLIPS OUT, AND SHE'S NOT WEARING A DAMN THING UNDERNEATH IT!!! Amy Lin just slipped out of her leather suit, and the crowd positively EXPLODES into cheers and a flurry of camera flashes as she slides out of the ring, completely naked, and begins running up the ramp!! Christina Ellis is too stunned even to try to stop her, and Rebecca Black stares in disbelief, then runs after her! Amy Lin was just stripped completely naked, and this crowd is still on its feet!!
At the top of the ramp, Amy Lin yells something at Melissa loudly enough to be picked up without microphones, but so incoherent that all one can understand is that every other word is "FUCK!!" then storms backstage, with Rebecca Black hurrying after her. The crowd's cheers turn into equally deafening boos upon Amy's disappearance. Melissa DelArmeggio stares after Amy Lin, her bloody face an angry, vengeful mask, then stares down at the discarded leather suit with disgust and throws it down. Bobcat McGavin counts the few remaining numbers on his count, and calls for the bell. Melissa will win this one via a countout, but it's clear from her face that she didn't get the material, physical revenge that she wanted.
Melissa
DelArmeggio defeated Amy Lin via countout in 0:08:46.
Rating: * 1/2
Melissa DelArmeggio slides out of the ring, then begins heading backstage with Christina Ellis, whose attempts to console her with the countout victory seem to fall on deaf ears. Evidently Amy's fear of retribution from Melissa became stronger than her modesty, and she was able to squirm free from Melissa by ditching her leather suit... but in Melissa's mind, this clearly isn't over yet. Underneath the blood covering her face, one can see a deep, unquenched anger. We may see another match between these two yet... but we'll probably never forget what we just saw from Amy. This has been one of the most extreme pay-per-view events in VCW, without a doubt.
In a few short moments, we'll see the Wrecking Crew challenge Jacob Idol and Rob Solomon of the Hammer of the Gods for the VCW World Tag Team Titles, but right now, we're going to go backstage, where Ziggy Adderloaf is talking to "Macho Man" Randy Savage! Let's see that now!
Backstage...
Ziggy Adderloaf is shown backstage, with the Macho Man himself, Randy Savage. He's wearing street clothes, specifically a VCW T-shirt and blue jeans, not yet dressed for his match.
Z. Adderloaf: Macho Man... I've heard a lot of things lately from people who observe this business... one of them is that your time in VCW may be nearing an end. What are your comments on that at the moment?
R. Savage: Welllll... maybe it IS, and maybe it ISN'T, yeah. But if I leave VCW tomorrow or the next day or any of these days after today, I'm gonna leave AFTER having beaten two former VCW World Champions in the middle of the ring. The firrrrst... is David Wright Hubbard, yeah, because everyone saw that at Blood and Thunder last year he couldn't handle the madness, and he can't handle it now. And the second... is Crimson, yeah. He thinks he's a big shot just because he's a big man, yeah... but I've beaten bigger men than him. And when he turned against the Macho Man... that was really, really stupid. He made the biggest mistake of his career, and when I come out there tonight, I'm gonna show him what the madness is all about... yeeahh.
Z. Adderloaf: That should be a really great match. One other thing I wanted to ask... we heard you're planning some sort of surprise for this match. Is there any truth to that?
R. Savage: I know that Crimson's really, really stupid... but he's not stupid enough not to watch me right now, because that'd be even more stupid, yeah. So if you're wondering if I've got a surprise for him... I'm not gonna tell you now. You... and Crimson... you're both gonna have to wait until LATER. OHH YEAH!!
Z. Adderloaf: All right... we'll just wait and see what's in store later on tonight. Thanks for your time, Macho Man... now, let's take it back to the ring, where we're awaiting a VCW World Tag Team Title match!
The camera fades out on the backstage scene.
We're back in the ring area now, and "Domination" by Pantera is playing over the arena sound system, and that brings forth our challengers tonight, Blade and John Uldwall, the Wrecking Crew! The crowd cheers as they come out of the backstage entrance and begin heading for the ring, looking set on the goal of winning the VCW World Tag Team Titles and delivering some well-deserved punishment to Jacob Idol and Rob Solomon of the Hammer of the Gods. They climb inside and pose for the crowd, earning another loud burst of cheers, then turn to the entranceway to face their opponents when they come out.
And now "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin starts playing, and a loud chorus of boos greets the VCW World Tag Team Champions, Jacob Idol and Rob Solomon, as they step out of the backstage entrance, accompanied by Jasmina Chastity. As usual, Rob Solomon is carrying his hockey stick. In contrast to the focused, angry determination of the Wrecking Crew, these two don't seem to be taking the match all that seriously, joking and talking casually on their way to the ring. They climb inside and hand the VCW World Tag Team Titles over to Jasmina Chastity, who raises them high in the air to a chorus of boos for the crowd. Jacob Idol steps out, and it'll be Rob Solomon starting off against John Uldwall, as Jerry Rogers enters the ring to call for the bell!
For the VCW World Tag Team Titles:
Hammer of the Gods
(Jacob Idol & Rob Solomon) (c)
w/Jasmina Chastity
vs.
Wrecking Crew
Rob Solomon steps forward, going into a martial arts stance as John Uldwall comes in to meet him. John Uldwall throws a punch, but Rob Solomon sways backwards, with the fist coming inches from his face, then drills John Uldwall with a series of quick kicks to the midsection. John Uldwall's staggered back by the blows, and Rob Solomon whips him into the ropes, then leaps up and nails him with a jumping spinning thrust kick as he comes off, knocking him off of his feet! Rob Solomon poses, getting some boos from the crowd, but John Uldwall pops up angrily behind him! Jasmina Chastity points for Solomon to look out, and he turns around... right into a clothesline from John Uldwall! Rob Solomon collapses on the mat, and John Uldwall mockingly imitates Rob Solomon's pose, but turns and clobbers him with a right hand before he can get up and come back!
John Uldwall opens up on Rob Solomon with a few more big right hands, then whips him into the corner. Rob Solomon crashes hard into the turnbuckles and staggers out... and John Uldwall scoops him up and presses him over his head! John Uldwall powers him up high in a Gorilla Press, and then tosses him clear over the top rope to the outside, bringing him crashing to a heap on the floor! Rob Solomon's lying motionless out there, but John Uldwall's not letting up for a second; he goes right out after him, then pulls him up and takes him head-first into the ringsteps! Rob Solomon slumps to the floor again, and John Uldwall once again pulls him up and whips him to the guardrail... but Rob Solomon reverses, and John Uldwall crashes back-first into the guardrail! Rob Solomon charges at him, leaping up to nail him with another spinning thrust kick that sends him spilling over the guardrail into the fans!
Rob Solomon collapses to the floor, still shaking off the effects of being tossed out over the top rope, but John Uldwall starts to get up among the fans, who pat him on the back encouragingly... but Rob Solomon gets to his feet again first, then grabs John Uldwall's head and drops to the floor, pulling him down throat-first across the guardrail! John Uldwall collapses again, and this time Rob Solomon gets up much sooner, and he pulls John Uldwall up, hooking him in a front chancery, and gives him a snap suplex back to the floor at ringside! John Uldwall writhes in pain on the floor, and Rob Solomon pulls him up, then rolls him back into the ring! John Uldwall starts to get up as Rob Solomon climbs up on the apron... and Rob Solomon leaps up on the top rope, then springs off to take him down with a springboard clothesline! John Uldwall goes down, and Rob Solomon tags in Jacob Idol!
Jacob Idol and Rob Solomon both hook John Uldwall in a front chancery, then take him down with a big double vertical suplex in the middle of the ring. With John Uldwall down, Rob Solomon exits the ring, and Jacob Idol measures him, then drops a knee into his abdomen. John Uldwall doubles over on the mat, and Jacob Idol pulls him to his feet, then whips him to the ropes... but John Uldwall stops short when Jacob Idol tries to nail him with a dropkick on the rebound, and Jacob Idol crashes to the mat! John Uldwall waits on him as he gets up, then rushes at him and spears him to the canvas!! Jacob Idol's down, and John Uldwall tags in Blade!
John Uldwall lifts Jacob Idol for a vertical suplex, holding him in the air, and Blade perches on the second turnbuckle, then leaps off to fold Idol up with a clothesline to the midsection just as John Uldwall falls back, bringing him crashing to the mat! Jacob Idol is already looking pretty battered from that move, and Blade crawls across him and hooks a leg! Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Foot on the ropes at two by Jacob Idol! Blade grimaces and pulls Jacob Idol up, then tosses him out of the ring! Jacob Idol starts to get up on the outside, but Blade takes a running start at him, then leaps out through the ropes to nail him with a plancha on the outside!! Jacob Idol crashes back-first into the guardrail, but Blade gives him no respite, pulling him away and drilling him with series of right hands, then bodyslamming him on the floor!
Jacob Idol's down, and Blade sets up a chair, then steps back away from him. Jacob Idol gets up, and Blade takes a running start, springs off of the chair, and comes sailing at Jacob Idol with a spinning leg lariat... but Jacob Idol ducks! Blade sails over his head, and his right hip crashes right into the steel ringpost! Jacob Idol looks down at Blade, scarcely believing his luck... Blade may have re-injured his previously injured hip on that move! He stomps at Blade's right hip a few times, then rolls him back into the ring and tags in Rob Solomon. Jacob Idol and Rob Solomon each grab one of Blade's legs, and they both fall backwards in opposite directions, stretching his legs wide apart as if trying to break a wishbone! Blade yells out in pain and curls up, favoring his right hip heavily.
Rob Solomon gives Blade a few swift kicks to the right hip as he tries to get up, then grabs his leg and puts on a half Boston! Blade yells out in pain, as Rob Solomon begins wrenching at his right leg, trying to dislocate it again or tear muscles in his leg or groin, but Blade's fighting it, trying to crawl to the ropes! Rob Solomon begins pulling back in the other direction, but Blade's larger and stronger, and he's making a little more progress! He's clawing for every inch, but he's actually getting near his corner now... he's still struggling, inching along the mat, and he reaches out desperately... and falls just short of a tag to John Uldwall! He collapses down in the hold, and Jerry Rogers asks him if he wants to give up... but Blade yells out "NO!!" then makes one last, desperate lunge for his corner, tagging in John Uldwall!!
John Uldwall charges into the ring, and opens up on Rob Solomon with a series of right-hand blows, then whips him into the ropes! John Uldwall bounces off the other side, and spears Rob Solomon to the mat when they meet in the middle of the ring! Rob Solomon's down, and John Uldwall goes for the cover... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half by Rob Solomon! John Uldwall pulls Rob Solomon back up, then lifts him over a shoulder and takes a running start for a powerslam, but Rob Solomon slips out behind him, grabs his arms, and pulls them across his chest... and he takes him down with a straightjacket suplex!! Jerry Rogers goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Big kickout at two and a half! There's still too much inner fury left in John Uldwall for him to stay down!
Rob Solomon stomps at John Uldwall a few times, then pulls him up and gives him a swift kick to the midsection that doubles him over. With John Uldwall doubled over, Rob Solomon bounces off the ropes, and takes him down with an axe kick to the back of the head! Rob Solomon kips up, poses for a second, and then tags in Jacob Idol. Rob Solomon climbs to the top turnbuckle, and Jacob Idol runs into the ropes as John Uldwall starts to get up, still doubled over. Jacob Idol leaps over John Uldwall for a sunset flip, but John Uldwall's not going down... but Rob Solomon comes off the top turnbuckle with a flying spinning heel kick to the face that knocks him over!! Jacob Idol hooks him for the pin, and Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Blade enters the ring and saves at two and a half!
Jerry Rogers is ordering Blade and Rob Solomon to return to their corners now, and Jacob Idol pulls John Uldwall up. He drills him with a series of knees to the gut, then puts on a front facelock and goes for a DDT... but John Uldwall grabs him around the waist, and flings him high into the air with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Jacob Idol lands on the back of his head and shoulders, then flops over onto his back and and convulses on impact, and the crowd bursts into cheers! John Uldwall gets up, shaking off some of the punishment that he's taken, and he tags in Blade! The Wrecking Crew whips Jacob Idol into the ropes, and they nail him with a double clothesline in the middle of the ring as he comes off! Blade pulls Jacob Idol up and puts on a front chancery, then lifts him up with a flash of pain coming across his face from the exertion, and flings him back down with a front-layout suplex! Jacob Idol bounces off of the canvas and flops over on his back, and Blade covers him! Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half!
Blade gets up, and he's limping quite a bit on the right side from the damage his hip has taken so far. Nevertheless, he's determined to gut it out here and keep fighting. He pulls Jacob Idol up from behind, putting on a waistlock, and goes for a German suplex, but Jacob Idol flips out behind him, grabbing his head on the way down... INVERTED DDT!! He just hit the inverted DDT out of nowhere! Blade's down again, and Jacob Idol's getting up, looking for a tag to Rob Solomon. He gets it, but somehow Blade rolled over, bringing himself closer to his corner... and he tags John Uldwall back in! Rob Solomon rushes John Uldwall, aiming a spin kick at his head, but John Uldwall ducks it as he runs past Rob Solomon, then bounces off the ropes on the other side... but Jasmina Chastity trips him!! John Uldwall staggers forward... and this time, Rob Solomon mows him down in the middle of the ring with a lariat!!
Rob Solomon smiles and poses for the crowd, getting a round of boos in reply. He's not going for the cover here, and that could be a mistake. But after the posing, now finally he's making a rather lax cover on John Uldwall, as Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by John Uldwall! That lariat was an awesome move, but Rob Solomon will need to take this one a little more seriously to beat John Uldwall! He pulls him up and tags in Jacob Idol, then gives John Uldwall a snap suplex, just in time for Jacob Idol to step forward and drive an elbow into his stomach! John Uldwall doubles over on the mat, but Jacob Idol forces him back down and goes for the cover, hooking the leg this time... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half!
Jacob Idol looks down at John Uldwall, then begins climbing up to the top turnbuckle. John Uldwall gets up behind him, and Jacob Idol throws one final glance over his shoulder, then leaps backwards off the top... MOONSAULT BODYBLOCK!! But John Uldwall catches him and drills him to the mat with a powerslam!! The crowd explodes into cheers, and John Uldwall hooks a leg as Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Rob Solomon enters the ring and breaks the pin just before three!! Damn, that was close! John Uldwall directs an angry stare at Rob Solomon as he leaves the ring, then looks to Blade, in his own corner... but he seems reluctant to tag Blade in with his current state of injury.
Instead, John Uldwall scoops Jacob Idol up and drives him to the canvas with a bodyslam, then climbs up to the top turnbuckle... he could be looking to finish Jacob Idol off himself! But Rob Solomon runs around to that side of the ring and shakes the ropes, earning a threat of disqualification from Jerry Rogers, but crotching John Uldwall on the top turnbuckle! And now Jacob Idol's up, and he climbs to the top with Uldwall, then lifts him and comes off... TOP-ROPE GUTBUSTER!! Jacob Idol collapses to the mat briefly from the exertion, but John Uldwall's left flopping around on the mat, kicking his legs and clutching at his abdomen... and Jacob Idol quickly recovers, forcing him to the mat and covering! Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters by John Uldwall!!
Jacob Idol gets up, and he makes the tag again to Rob Solomon. John Uldwall's just starting to pull himself up off of the mat, and Rob Solomon hauls him up roughly, then puts on an abdominal stretch! John Uldwall bellows in pain... normally this might not be enough to finish him off, but after that top-rope gutbuster and a few of the other good hits to the stomach he's taken, it just might do the job here! John Uldwall's struggling, fighting to get out of the hold... and Blade begins slapping the turnbuckle, starting a rhythmic series of stomps and claps by the crowd as they get behind John Uldwall! He's starting to focus his power to get out of the hold... but Rob Solomon reaches back and grabs Jacob Idol's hand for extra leverage, putting more pressure into the hold, and John Uldwall folds up and bellows in pain again as the crowd boos!!
Blade yells at Jerry Rogers to look at Jacob Idol and Rob Solomon holding hands for leverage, but as he turns to look, they release the grip! Jerry Rogers asks them, but they're denying it, and he shrugs, then goes back to asking John Uldwall if he's still in this match... and once again, Jacob Idol takes Rob Solomon's hand, allowing him to keep the hold applied with extra leverage! John Uldwall's shaking his head "no", determined not to give up, but it's clear that he's starting to lose strength in this hold. Once again, Jerry Rogers looks up to check Rob Solomon's hand, but once again, they seperate their grip in the nick of time, and Jerry Rogers doesn't see it. He asks again, and once again they deny any foul play, as the crowd boos and Blade grimaces in disgust on the apron. Then Jerry Rogers goes back to asking John Uldwall for a submission... and once again, Rob Solomon and Jacob Idol lock hands for leverage!!
John Uldwall's struggling, and it seems like he's almost gone... but still, he's refusing to give up, shaking his head "no" with a grimace of pain on his face! Jerry Rogers looks up, quite suddenly this time... and this time he sees the illegal assistance from outside! He begins counting to five, ordering them to release the grip, but Rob Solomon and Jacob Idol just ignore him, as Rob Solomon continues pulling back in the abdominal stretch! Jerry Rogers becomes angry at being defied, and he reaches up and kicks their hands, breaking the grip... and now John Uldwall gives out one last surge of power, and hiptosses Rob Solomon to the canvas!!
The hold is broken... but what kind of state is John Uldwall in now? Rob Solomon gets up, favoring his back a little from the hiptoss, and tags in Jacob Idol. John Uldwall's trying to crawl to his corner, but Jacob Idol grabs his leg and pulls him back to the center of the ring, then begins to pull him up off of the mat... but John Uldwall nails him with a blatant low blow!! Jerry Rogers is letting that slide, evidently feeling that it's fair payback after the illegal assistance in the abdominal stretch, and Jacob Idol collapses to the mat, clutching himself in pain! John Uldwall crawls to his corner again... and this time there won't be any stopping him! He reaches out... and he makes the tag to Blade!!
Blade comes in, still with a slight limp, and charges Jacob Idol, knocking him off his feet with a clothesline. Rob Solomon comes in as well, but Blade catches him with a kick to the midsection that doubles him over, then lifts him up in a Gorilla Press... and his hip almost gives out on him, wobbling beneath him, but he steadies himself, shuts out the pain, and presses Rob Solomon high in the air, then tosses him down on Jacob Idol as he gets up! John Uldwall enters the ring, and tosses Rob Solomon to the outside, then follows him out, still hurting, but determined to give his partner one-on-one odds with Jacob Idol!!
Jacob Idol's getting up again, and despite the pain, Blade makes a hobbling run into the ropes, then cuts him down in the middle of the ring with a massive leaping clothesline! Jacob Idol's down, but Blade pulls him right back up, then tosses him into the corner and climbs up on the second turnbuckle, and begins raining punches down on him as the crowd counts: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine... and Blade draws back dramatically and nails Jacob Idol with a big number TEN!! He steps off, and Jacob Idol staggers out of the corner, looking a bit glassy-eyed... right into Blade's clutches, where he's taken down with a belly-to-belly suplex!! Blade doesn't even stop there, though... he pulls Jacob Idol up again, this time into a standing headscissors. He grimaces with effort and lifts him up to a high angle... POWER BOMB!! He just DRILLED Jacob Idol to the canvas there, and Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THRE... Shoulder up at two and nine-tenths!! Somehow, Jacob Idol survived that move!! But on the outside, Jasmina Chastity just came from behind and hit John Uldwall with a low blow while Jerry Rogers was counting!
Blade's going up to the top turnbuckle now... he could be looking for the finish! He's a little slow to go up, but Jacob Idol's even slower to get to his feet after that massive power bomb. But Jerry Rogers is questioning Jasmina Chastity now, evidently suspecting her of interfering against John Uldwall... and Rob Solomon just grabbed his hockey stick and jumped to the apron!! Blade gets to the top... and Rob Solomon NAILS him right in the hip with his hockey stick!! Blade collapses into the ring, clutching at his right hip!! Jacob Idol gets up, still shaking off the cobwebs, and sees what's going on... and he holds Blade's right leg out to the side, then motions for Rob Solomon to go up to the top turnbuckle. Rob Solomon goes up, and leaps off with a somersault... KATANA LEGDROP!! And he nailed it right across Blade's right hip and groin!! Blade curls up on the mat, bellowing in pain, and the crowd explodes into boos!!
That could do it... Jerry Rogers turns back around, and Jacob Idol grabs Blade's leg, and turns him over in a half Boston. Blade's face contorts with pain, but he's making a last, desperate effort to hold on and stay in this match!! On the outside, John Uldwall's back on his feet... and he slides into the ring! He pops up and rushes Jacob Idol... but Rob Solomon comes in from the side and cuts him down with a lariat!! John Uldwall's down, Blade's in the half Boston in the middle of the ring... he's never been known to quit in his career!! Can he come out of this one somehow!! He reaches out desperately to the ropes... and he starts tapping!! Blade's tapping out, and the Hammer of the Gods are your winners!!

Rating: ****
(The Hammer of the Gods retained the VCW World Tag Team Titles.)
The Wrecking Crew has been dissected and laid to waste, and Jacob Idol and Rob Solomon quickly roll out of the ring and retrieve the VCW World Tag Team Titles, then begin heading backstage with Jasmina Chastity, raising the titles high above their heads and celebrating, to the boos of the crowd. They wrestled one hell of a match tonight, but at the same time they took plenty of shortcuts and cheap shots to win this match. Nevertheless, after this victory over the Wrecking Crew, coupled with their previous victory over the Ontario Colour Show, it's getting hard to dispute their claim to being the greatest tag team in VCW.
John Uldwall's starting to get up, and he begins helping Blade to his feet as well... but hold on just a second!! We're receiving word that Amy Lin is literally going on a rampage backstage!! And she's still not wearing anything!! We're going to go to that now, but we'd like to advise our viewers right now that based on Amy's reported state of undress, the following segment may contain extreme content, and VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. Let's take a look backstage!!
Backstage...
Amy Lin's shown storming down the hallway, completely nude, but now carrying a steel pipe in her hands, with Rebecca Black following behind her, watching in a mixture of awe and horror. She seems mentally over the edge as her eyes dart back and forth, with a frothy snarl on her face, and even with her curvaceous body completely bare, looking more terrifying than appealing. She comes upon a production desk for VCW Live, where VCW Internet Spokesmen Ricky Rasmussen and Gus Thomas are sitting in front of computers, typing away. They look up and see Amy Lin, and their eyes widen, first at her state of nudity, then at the murderous look in her eyes.
G. Thomas: What in the Sam hell--
Gus Thomas is cut off as Amy Lin swings the steel pipe directly into his jaw, knocking him out of his chair and sending a mixture of blood and tobacco juice flying out the side of his mouth. He collapses to an unconscious heap, and Ricky Rasmussen bolts out of his chair and runs for dear life. Amy Lin watches him go, then with a vicious, primal scream brings the lead pipe down repeatedly on the computers and monitors, breaking them and the tables they're on into a pile of junk and broken glass on the floor. Rebecca Black steps forward at that, grabbing Amy's arm to try to stop her.
R. Black: Amy, get a hold of yourself! Troy's gonna end up paying for all that shit!!
Amy Lin jerks away from Rebecca Black.
A. Lin: Get off me, you BITCH!! FUCK Troy!! FUCK VCW!! I've had it with this fucking SHITHOLE!! I'm LEAVING this fucking company, and I'm NEVER coming back, and if you don't like that, FUCK YOU!!
R. Black: Amy... Amy... come on. I'm your friend. If you want to bust up a few computers that bad, go ahead. Hell, I'll steal Applebee's laptop for you, okay? Just calm down a little.
With a stifled, disgusted grunt, Amy Lin swings the steel pipe into the wall of the hallway, sending a chunk of cheaply-painted cinderblock flying off and bending the steel pipe considerably from the impact. She tosses the pipe down on the floor, where it rattles with a loud clanging noise, then turns back to Rebecca, with her bare chest heaving with heavy breaths as she tries to control herself.
R. Black: Come on... it's all right. What do you really have to be ashamed of? You're beautiful. So what if all the toothless idiot fans got an eyeful tonight? It's all good...
Amy Lin seems to calm down a bit when she speaks again.
A. Lin: It's not that. Melissa... GOD!! I just want to stick a screwdriver in her eyes and twist it in slowly and rip her FUCKING throat out with my bare hands!! She humiliated me out there!!
R. Black: Calm down, Amy. I've got an idea. A really great idea. That's what I'm here for, right?
A. Lin: What is it? Tell me.
R. Black: I'm going to wait until you've had a little time to calm down. Come on... just follow me.
Rebecca Black leads Amy Lin down the hall, and finally opens up a door, revealing an empty lounge area backstage, with a bench set up in the middle. Rebecca guides Amy to sit down on the bench, then sits down beside her and starts rubbing her shoulders.
R. Black: Don't worry about Melissa now. Just calm down. It's all okay... we're the Black Plague. We can crush her any time we want to. We're just toying with her now.
A. Lin: Yeah... you're right. Like hell I'm leaving now. She's not getting rid of me that easily. I'm gonna make her life a living hell.
R. Black: Yeah. But first, you're gonna relax and forget about what happened out there a few minutes ago.
A. Lin: You're right. I have to get my mind off of that.
R. Black: Here... let me help you.
Amy Lin turns to look at Rebecca Black, raising an eyebrow in question, and Rebecca Black leans forward and kisses her on the lips, wrapping one hand around the back of her head, and using the other hand to fondle one of Amy's bare, ample breasts. Amy Lin jolts with shock at the first contact and seems to try to pull away, but Rebecca Black holds her head in place and she slowly becomes accepting, returning the kiss and putting her own arms loosely around Rebecca. Finally, Rebecca Black backs away from her with a sultry smile, as Amy blushes and stares at her in disbelief.
A. Lin: Jesus, Rebecca... I didn't think--
R. Black: So don't think. Leave your brain out of this. This is between your body and mine.
Rebecca Black leans forward again, this time kissing one of Amy's breasts, taking the erect nipple into her mouth. Amy Lin inhales sharply in surprise, but puts her hands on Rebecca's head, running her fingers through her hair, down to her shoulders, and stroking those. Rebecca Black pulls away from Amy's breast with a trail of slow kisses, but slides her hand up to massage and knead her breasts as her face pulls away. She kneels on the floor beside the bench, and spreads Amy's legs apart, revealing a clear view at the blonde patch of hair between them and the intimate details that lie beneath it, but it's also a brief, fleeting view before Rebecca moves in front of her, kneeling between Amy's spread legs.
A. Lin: Are you actually gonna... ooh...
Amy trails off and throws her head back, closing her eyes, when Rebecca Black's head descends between her legs. The camera can't see what's going on down there with the back of Rebecca's head obstructing the view, but Amy's trembling, shallow breathing, and stifled whines give a pretty good idea. She lets out a soft sigh and runs a hand through Rebecca's hair, throwing her head back again with her eyes closed.
As Amy's breathing seems to quicken a little bit, neither of them notices the door opening behind them, and Melissa DelArmeggio walks inside, carrying the steel pipe Amy held earlier, still covered in her own blood, with a vindicative, vengeful gleam in her eyes. She pauses when she sees what's actually going on in his room, recoiling in shock and disgust for a second, but then the anger in her eyes returns, stronger than before. Unnoticed by Amy or Rebecca, she steps behind Amy, slides the pipe under her chin as her head's thrown back, and grabs each end of the pipe, pulling tightly. Amy Lin immediately begins thrashing around in shock and clutching at the pipe in her hands, caught totally off-guard by the sudden attack, but Rebecca Black remains oblivious.
R. Black: Damn... already!? I know I'm good, but...
Rebecca Black happens to glance up and see Melissa DelArmeggio, and immediately trails off, bolting up with a surprised scream. She tries to get into a fighting position, but Melissa tosses Amy aside and swings the pipe into Rebecca's midsection, doubling her over, then takes her head-first into the wall. With Rebecca neutralized, Melissa turns back to Amy Lin like a single-minded automation and crouches over her, then starts choking her with the pipe again, shouting at her with unrestrained anger and hatred.
M. DelArmeggio: You're not getting away now. We said we were gonna settle this. How do you like being the one who gets jumped from behind!? After all you did... ever since the day you came here, you've made my life hell, you cheap whore!! And we're gonna finish this tonight, one way or the OTHER!!
The door opens behind Melissa as she continues to assault Amy, but this time she's the one who's too caught up in the moment to see it, and Desmond walks in behind her. He look down at the scene before him, and his eyes immediately widen with horror.
Desmond: Oh my God!! What are you doing to Amy!? Come on, it's not worth it!!
Desmond grabs Melissa and pulls her off of Amy Lin, who's still a convulsing, nude heap on the floor. Melissa breaks free from his grasp and whirls on Desmond angrily, obviously barely restraining an impulse to strike him too.
Desmond: Come on, this is crazy!! It's not reasonable!! Don't do it!
M. DelArmeggio: I don't feel very REASONABLE right now, okay!? Back off or I'll deal with you, too!
Desmond: But... come on. Look, when it comes down to it, I... I... well... look, you're a better person than that. I mean, it's not right! I mean... two wrongs don't make a right, you know?
M. DelArmeggio: If she's not going to face me in the ring, I'll do it back here instead. She has this coming to her, okay? Now get out of here!!
Desmond: But this won't prove anything, except that you're willing to sink as low as she is. Throughout the entire history of this company, you're the one person who has taken a moral stand and stuck to it... and it's just not reasonable to throw that away now. Come on... this doesn't solve anything.
Melissa DelArmeggio hesitates, then tosses the pipe down with disgust.
M. DelArmeggio: I'm gonna regret this, I just know it...
R. Black: Damn right you are, you fucking bitch!!
Rebecca Black springs to life from the floor, where she seems to have been feigning most of her injury, and grabs the pipe, bringing it up to nail Melissa in the ribs with it. She doubles over, and Rebecca Black shoves her into Desmond's grasp again as Amy Lin gets up, smiling through the pain of Melissa's assault as she coughs and clears her throat.
A. Lin: Congratulations, Desmond... I guess you're not totally useless. Hold her for me...
R. Black: Kill her, Amy.
Amy Lin grabs the pipe from Rebecca and draws it back at Melissa... Desmond hesitates, seizing Melissa in his grasp, then suddenly flings the door open and tosses her outside, reaching out with his other hand to catch the pipe as Amy Lin swings it.
Desmond: No, damn it!! I won't let you hurt her!!
A. Lin: Fucking scarfaced, crippled, retarded piece of SHIT!!
Amy Lin draws the pipe away, and tries to swing it again, but again Desmond blocks it, and shoves her back to the floor, as Rebecca Black stares in disbelief.
R. Black: Desmond, you son of a bitch, Tony's gonna KILL you for this!! You go after her and get her RIGHT NOW!!
Desmond: The hell I will! Ever since I got here, you've been a bunch of sadistic, unreasonable MANIACS who're never happy with ANYTHING I do! I quit!! I'm outta here!
Desmond opens the door and leaves the room, slamming it shut behind him, as Rebecca and Amy exchange a stare of disbelief.
R. Black: What ELSE can go completely wrong tonight!?
Suddenly, the door swings open, and "The Barcelona Assassin" Lorenzo Vasquez steps into the room, looking around in shock.
L. Vasquez: THERE you are. I've been looking all over this dump for you. We need to hit the ring sometime around yesterday. I'm gonna be late for my match. And what the fuck sent Desmond tearing out of here like a bat outta hell, anyway!?
R. Black: You don't even want to know right now. Everything's going to shit. Your match is now!?
L. Vasquez: Yeah, come on. We need to get out there.
Lorenzo Vasquez stops, briefly turning to Amy as she stands in the corner, still naked, shaking with rage.
L. Vasquez: Hey, Amy... looking good. Real good.
A. Lin: Up yours, you greasy piece of trash. I'm not in the mood for your shit right now.
Lorenzo Vasquez just smiles and winks at her.
L. Vasquez: It's cool. I'll send Troy on over here on my way to the ring if I run into him. Now, come on, wench... we've gotta go.
Lorenzo Vasquez tugs gently on Rebecca Black's arm, and she just hesitates to give Amy Lin one final glance, before walking out of the room. At that, the camera fades out on the backstage scene.
Wow... what a scene we just witnessed, on so many different levels. We've never seen ANYTHING quite like that on VCW pay-per-view before, and not just in terms of content... we may be looking at the beginning of the dissolution of the Black Plague right now! The crowd in the arena is stunned, not knowing whether to cheer loudly or just sit dumbfounded after what we've just seen! We're going to get on back to the rest of the show now... we're overdue to start our next match, pitting "The Barcelona Assassin" Lorenzo Vasquez against "Pretty Boy" Jimmy Lockman!
"Kiss My Ass" by Ted Nugent begins playing, and that'll bring out "The Barcelona Assassin" Lorenzo Vasquez, accompanied by Rebecca Black... and after what we've just seen, it's not surprising that the crowd explodes into a HUGE chant of "SLUT!" on sight of Rebecca Black. Lorenzo Vasquez yells at them to shut up, but he seems to realize how futile that is, and he just walks to the ring, doing his best to ignore them. He'd better ignore them if he wants to do well tonight... he's got a tall order coming up ahead in this match, facing one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, when that great wrestler is out for his blood in revenge for a crippling injury to his daughter.
And now "Big Shot" by Billy Joel is playing, and that brings out "Pretty Boy" Jimmy Lockman, decked out in his feathered, sequined robe, wearing his trademark sunglasses and carrying his golden-handled cane. But he's not here to strut and pose... he throws off the robe and sets the sunglasses and cane aside, and now he's sprinting to the ring! He slides inside... and Lorenzo Vasquez begins assaulting him before he can even get up! Brendan Powers calls for the bell, and that'll start off this match!!
"The Barcelona
Assassin" Lorenzo Vasquez
w/Rebecca Black
vs.
"Pretty Boy" Jimmy Lockman
Lorenzo Vasquez clobbers Jimmy Lockman repeatedly before he can get up, stomping him into the mat, then starts to pull him up... but Jimmy Lockman immediately hits him with a low blow! Lorenzo Vasquez doubles over, and Jimmy Lockman gets up, whipping him to the corner and following him in with a jumping kneelift! Lorenzo Vasquez rocks back in the corner from the impact of the knee, then slumps back in it and Jimmy Lockman nails him with a series of well-placed quick jabs to the face, each one rocking Lorenzo Vasquez back! He steps back and charges in with another kneelift, this time doubling Lorenzo Vasquez over, then pulls him out of the corner, grabs him around the waist, and takes him down with a gutwrench suplex!! Lorenzo Vasquez convulses on the mat with the impact, and Jimmy Lockman crawls across him for the pin... no, he's not going for the pin, he's straddling him and repeatedly hammering Lorenzo's face!! The crowd cheers loudly, but Brendan Powers is ordering Jimmy Lockman to get up off of him and stop the closed fists.
Finally, after being threatened with disqualification, Jimmy Lockman pulls Lorenzo Vasquez up by the hair, then tosses him out of the ring! Lorenzo Vasquez crash-lands on the floor, and appears to be holding his knee after the landing... he may have injured it in the fall, and that would be a VERY bad sign in a match against Jimmy Lockman, the master of the figure-four leglock. Sure enough, Jimmy Lockman sees that, and immediately goes out after him. Lorenzo Vasquez gets up, but Jimmy Lockman doubles him over with a swift kick to the kneecap, then rams him head-first into the ringsteps! Lorenzo Vasquez pops up for a second, with a glassy-eyed look on his face, and spins halfway around, then collapses to the floor at Jimmy Lockman's feet... and Jimmy Lockman kneels down and starts choking Lorenzo Vasquez with some cables on the floor! Brendan Powers is warning him to let go, but Jimmy Lockman just yells "PISS OFF, YOU SON OF A BITCH!!" and tightens his grip on Lorenzo Vasquez with the cables!
Brendan Powers continues his feeble warnings, but Rebecca Black is advancing on Jimmy Lockman from behind! She comes up behind him as he chokes Lorenzo Vasquez, and pulls a double handful of his blond hair, pulling him off of Lorenzo Vasquez! Brendan Powers is apparently going to let that slide, having already unsuccessfully warned Jimmy Lockman to break the chokehold... but Jimmy Lockman isn't! He starts chasing Rebecca Black, and she screams and runs! The chase winds all the way around the ring, but as they come around, Lorenzo Vasquez is up, and he blindsides Jimmy Lockman when they come around!! With Brendan Powers's count getting high, Lorenzo Vasquez tosses Jimmy Lockman into the ring and climbs in after him.
Jimmy Lockman starts to get up, and Lorenzo Vasquez flexes his right leg, testing the extent of the injury he took falling to the floor, then steps forward and clobbers Jimmy Lockman with a few right hands to the head! He's starting to regain some confidence now, and he whips Jimmy Lockman into the ropes... no, Jimmy Lockman reverses, then runs into the other side, and comes off with a high kneelift that sends Lorenzo Vasquez spinning to the mat! Lorenzo Vasquez goes down, and Jimmy Lockman crouches over him, furiously punching at his face despite Brendan Powers's protests... and now he's choking him!! He's letting his anger get the better of him, ignoring the rules and just attacking Lorenzo Vasquez like an animal!!
Brendan Powers warns Jimmy Lockman to get off of him, and Jimmy Lockman finally complies. He gets up and sets Lorenzo Vasquez's right foot on the bottom rope, then jumps up and sits down hard across the knee! Lorenzo Vasquez howls in pain, and Jimmy Lockman smiles, yelling something at him, then jumps up and does it again!! Lorenzo Vasquez cries out in pain again... and Jimmy Lockman does it one more time! He's dissecting Lorenzo's knee, but now he grabs him by the hair and pulls him up into a front chancery, then lifts him and sends him crashing to the mat with a vertical suplex! Lorenzo Vasquez flops on the mat from the impact, and Jimmy Lockman gets up and drops an elbow... no, Rebecca Black just reached in, grabbed Lorenzo's legs, and pulled him out of the way!!
Brendan Powers goes down to question her about it, but now both Lorenzo Vasquez and Jimmy Lockman are up! Lorenzo Vasquez takes a swing at Jimmy Lockman, but Jimmy Lockman blocks it and pokes Lorenzo Vasquez in the eyes! He staggers back, clutching at his eyes, and Jimmy Lockman backs him into the corner, drilling him with a quick, precise combination of rights and lefts to the face that send Lorenzo Vasquez's head snapping back! Lorenzo Vasquez is dazed, and Jimmy Lockman whips him into the opposite corner! He hits the turnbuckles and staggers out... and Jimmy Lockman runs at him, nailing him with another big kneelift that takes him off his feet! The crowd's on it's feet cheering for Jimmy Lockman, and the cheers get even louder as he struts in the middle of the ring, then drops down to his knees and flexes his muscles!
Lorenzo Vasquez starts to get up, and Jimmy Lockman grabs his leg and brings him down with a kneebreaker! The crowd goes to its feet, and Jimmy Lockman's signalling for the Figure-Four Leglock!! This could be it already... he grabs Lorenzo Vasquez's legs and steps around, looking for the Figure-Four... and Lorenzo Vasquez kicks him off!! Jimmy Lockman is flung forward, and he collides shoulder-first with the ringpost! He staggers back, clutching his left shoulder... and Lorenzo Vasquez comes up behind him and gives him a low blow!! The crowd boos, and Brendan Powers picks now of all times to warn against doing that, but Lorenzo Vasquez just ignores him as he gets to his feet.
Lorenzo Vasquez limps around the ring for a few steps, trying to walk off the pain in his right leg. Jimmy Lockman's getting up, and Lorenzo Vasquez grabs his left arm, with its injured shoulder, and twists it sharply in an armwringer, then starts driving elbows into his shoulder, but Jimmy Lockman drops and rolls out of it, coming up to reverse the armwringer on Lorenzo Vasquez!! One of his major rivals in the NCWA, Bob Jones, used an armbar submission as one of his key moves, and Jimmy Lockman knows a thing or two about countering attacks to his arm! Lorenzo Vasquez yells out in pain and grabs the ropes, and that forces Jimmy Lockman to release the armwringer... but as he does, he nails Lorenzo Vasquez with a swift kick to the knee! Lorenzo Vasquez doubles over, and Jimmy Lockman pulls him up straight... then blatantly gouges his eyes! Lorenzo's hands go to his eyes, and Jimmy Lockman runs off the ropes behind him, then comes off and goes low, clipping his knee from underneath him!!
Jimmy Lockman grabs Lorenzo Vasquez's legs again, planning on going for the Figure-Four Leglock again... but Lorenzo Vasquez grabs the ropes! He's not letting go, despite Jimmy Lockman's attempts to pull him back to the center of the ring... and he fights his way up to one leg, even as Jimmy Lockman holds onto the other one... enzuigiri!! Lorenzo Vasquez just clocked Jimmy Lockman with the enzuigiri, and Jimmy Lockman lets go of his leg, turns and staggers a few steps, then flops down face first on the mat!! Jimmy Lockman's down, and Lorenzo Vasquez might have the advantage again, if his knee's not too badly injured to come back.
The crowd boos as Lorenzo Vasquez gets back to his feet, limping heavily, but with a nasty smile crossing his face through the pain. Jimmy Lockman's starting to get up as well, and Lorenzo Vasquez hooks both of his arms and takes him down to the canvas with a double underhook suplex! Jimmy Lockman's down again, and without any pretense of finesse Lorenzo Vasquez starts stomping away at his shoulder and upper arm viciously! When pain flares up in his knee from the effort of the stomps, he instead grabs the arm and holds it out straight and slightly up from the mat, then drops the elbow of his other arm across the shoulder, bringing a pained yell from Jimmy Lockman! From there, he immediately slips into it... BARCELONA ARMBAR!! He has it on... but Jimmy Lockman's too close to the ropes, and he quickly scrambles the few remaining inches and grabs the ropes.
Lorenzo Vasquez glares down at Jimmy Lockman contemptfully, then grabs him and tosses him out of the ring. Lorenzo Vasquez climbs outside after him a bit gingerly on his hurt knee, then grabs Jimmy Lockman and whips him into the guardrail! Jimmy Lockman hits back-first and slumps against the rail, and Lorenzo Vasquez advances on him, still limping heavily, then draws back and nails him with a stinging knife-hand chop that rings out through the arena! The crowd goes "whooo" and Lorenzo Vasquez looks around at them angrily, then yells "FLAIR SUCKS!!" before drawing back and hitting a second chop!! Jimmy Lockman would probably agree with Lorenzo's sentiment... but the "whooo"s from the crowd are even louder this time, just to spite Lorenzo.
Rebecca Black's up on the apron now, asking Brendan Powers about something... and Lorenzo Vasquez is limping over to the timekeeper's table! Jimmy Lockman staggers out away from the guardrail, clutching his chest in pain... and Lorenzo Vasquez has the timekeeper's chair! Jimmy Lockman looks up... and Lorenzo Vasquez NAILS him with a chairshot directly to the head!! Jimmy Lockman goes down, and when the camera looks down at him, he's been busted open BADLY. A huge, seeping wound is now evident on his forehead... and Lorenzo Vasquez just laughs, shifting his grip on the chair, and drives it into Jimmy Lockman's left shoulder! Jimmy Lockman yells in pain, and Lorenzo Vasquez quickly throws aside the chair as Brendan Powers turns back to the match.
Lorenzo Vasquez pulls Jimmy Lockman up off of the mat, bleeding and battered, and takes him head-first into the announcer's table, leading a bloody spot on the table from the impact. Jimmy Lockman begins to slump to the mat, but Lorenzo Vasquez keeps him up, then takes him head-first into the steel ringsteps, spilling some blood there as well!! Jimmy Lockman's going limp in his grasp, and Lorenzo just hauls him up again, and takes him into the steel ringpost, bloodying that as well! Brendan Powers yells a warning to Lorenzo Vasquez, but he's not paying much attention... he grabs Jimmy Lockman's left arm, and wraps it forcefully around the ringpost as well! Finally, he's rolling Jimmy Lockman back in, and he climbs in after him, a little bit slowly on his hurting knee.
They're back in the ring, and the tide of the match has turned drastically... Jimmy Lockman's a bloody mess, and Lorenzo Vasquez is dominating him. Lorenzo pulls Jimmy Lockman up and gives him a kick to the midsection, then hooks him... SINGLE ARM DDT!! And he flows into the Barcelona Armbar, this time square in the middle of the ring!! Can Jimmy Lockman hold out after that savage beating on the outside? He's struggling, trying to fight his way to the ropes... and the crowd's actually getting behind him! Very rarely has Jimmy Lockman been the one trapped in a submission hold while the crowd cheers for a comeback... usually it's the other way around! He's inching his way towards the ropes, as Lorenzo Vasquez leans back, tightening the armbar... and it's not looking like he'll quit!! He's submitted in an armbar several times before, but in the past, in his career, Jimmy Lockman has been something of a coward... while here and now, he's fighting to avenge a horrible attack on his daughter, and he's not going to give up on that for anything!!
Jimmy Lockman's inching closer, trying to get to the ropes... and Lorenzo Vasquez can't seem to believe he's holding out this long! He leans back further, drawing a renewed yell of pain from Jimmy Lockman, but it's not stopping him from continuing to fight the hold and try to head for the ropes... he's getting close now!! Desperately, Lorenzo Vasquez keeps cranking back on the armbar, trying to rip his arm out of his socket or make him quit somehow... but in spite of the pained grimace on his blood-covered face, he's still fighting! He inches closer... his fingers brush against the ropes!! The crowd's cheering, really getting behind Jimmy Lockman now... and he lunges forward one more time, grabbing the bottom rope!! The crowd explodes into cheers, and Lorenzo Vasquez is forced to release the hold!!
Lorenzo Vasquez takes the full four-count, then looks down at Jimmy Lockman with mixed contempt and disbelief. He hesitates and looks around, not really sure how to finish this one after the failure of the Barcelona Armbar... and finally, he decides to pull him back into the center of the ring! He lifts him for another single-arm DDT, but Jimmy Lockman shoves him away! Jimmy Lockman's still nearly incapacitated by the pain in his arm, and Lorenzo Vasquez looks back at him angrily, then nails him with a fist to the midsection and slips around behind him. He hooks his arms in a double chickenwing... he's looking for the tiger suplex! But Jimmy Lockman snaps his head back, nailing Lorenzo Vasquez in the nose! He loosens his grip, but doesn't release it... and Jimmy Lockman brings a foot up behind him, between Lorenzo's legs!! THAT gets him to release the grip, and he doubles over as well! Jimmy Lockman's blood-covered face cortorts in a pained wince as he rolls his shoulder, trying to get it working again... but he draws back his uninjured right, and nails Lorenzo Vasquez with a jab that knocks him off his feet!
Jimmy Lockman continues trying to work some feeling back into his shoulder and shake off some of this punishment... but Lorenzo Vasquez is up again! He hobbles into action, rushing Jimmy Lockman with a limping clothesline, but Jimmy Lockman ducks, then runs into the ropes on the other side and takes him down with a kneelift in the middle of the ring!! Lorenzo Vasquez starts to get up again, and Jimmy Lockman grabs his right leg... KNEEBREAKER!! He's going for it again!! Rebecca Black slides into the ring, getting in Jimmy Lockman's face and trying to distract him... and he grabs her and kisses her, bloody face and all!! The crowd explodes into cheers, and Rebecca Black pushes Jimmy Lockman away, then slaps him... but he accepts the slap, and drops down to his knees and nails her with a low blow!! Rebecca Black doubles over, grimacing in pain, and Jimmy Lockman knocks her off her feet with a right hand!
Rebecca Black rolls out of the ring, and Jimmy Lockman grabs Lorenzo Vasquez's leg and steps through it... FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK!! Lorenzo Vasquez is stuck in the Figure-Four Leglock, with nowhere to go... and Jimmy Lockman grabs the ropes for leverage as Brendan Powers goes down to ask for a submission!! The crowd's on its feet, and Lorenzo Vasquez probably won't last more than a few seconds in this hold... but Rebecca Black reaches in and rakes her fingernails across Jimmy Lockman's eyes!! That breaks the hold, and Lorenzo Vasquez is a lucky man, because even after a few seconds Lorenzo Vasquez looked to be near the end of his rope! The crowd explodes into boos, but Brendan Powers didn't see a bit of that. Damn it!! Jimmy Lockman had this match won!!
Brendan Powers is questioning Rebecca Black now, seeing Jimmy Lockman pawing at his blood-covered face... but Rebecca's feigning innocence, and Lorenzo Vasquez just rolled out of the ring!! He limps to the timekeeper's table, and grabs the bell this time... and he slides inside with it! Jimmy Lockman starts to get up, and Rebecca continues distracting Brendan Powers. The crowd's booing loudly, but Lorenzo Vasquez just gives them the finger, keeping the figure-four leglock applied!! He's not letting Jimmy Lockman go, even now! Jimmy Lockman's still unconscious, and can't even begin to fight the hold, and Lorenzo Vasquez is keeping it applied!! Brendan Powers begins threatening to reverse the decision... and that, finally, gets Lorenzo Vasquez off of him. Lorenzo stands up, favoring his right leg heavily, but still smiling as he looks down at the fallen body of Jimmy Lockman. He slides out of the ring and gives Rebecca Black a kiss in celebration, then begins walking backstage, leaning on her shoulder as he makes his way to the back. Some trainers or medical crew are going to have to be sent out for Jimmy Lockman... he's a mess. He's unconscious, and his blond hair is orange from being soaked through with his blood.
As medics come out to tend to Jimmy Lockman, we're going to take a small break. And you should take a break too... because this is where Part Two of Disaster Area ends. When we come back, we've still got four big matches waiting ahead in Part Three... make sure and join us there when you're ready!!
