We're back, and we're ready to bring you the third and final segment of Wrestlewar III. We've already seen two titles change hands, but before the night's over, we'll see two more titles put on the line, and a whole lot more. First, we'll see a match where revenge, justice, and pride are what's on the line, as Johnny Smiles takes on his ex-girlfriend, the ex-VCW Commissioner, Virginia, one-on-one tonight.

"Degenerated" by the Lone Rangers begins playing over the arena sound system, and Virginia steps out of the backstage area, drawing a chorus of loud boos from the crowd. She has to be a little rattled by the events that have taken place tonight... not only has her power as VCW Commissioner been stripped away from her, but her demoralized Administration X troops were demolished by Johnny Smiles's friends earlier tonight in the War Games Match. But in spite of that, she can still cut her losses and retain a certain amount of pride, claiming a personal victory, if she can win this match. Virginia enters the ring and flexes her muscles, drawing still more boos from the crowd.

"Talk Dirty To Me" by Poison begins playing over the arena sound system next, and the crowd explodes into deafening cheers as Johnny Smiles steps out of the backstage area, carrying a microphone. He stops at the top of the entrance ramp, staring down at Virginia in the ring, as the music dies down, and the crowd waits patiently for what they know is coming up...

J. Smiles: HEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRE'S JOHNNY!!!

The crowd sings along and explodes into cheers.

J. Smiles: Now, Virginia... it looks to me like you've gotten a few ironic twists in your panties tonight already. You're not the VCW Commissioner before... your goony henchmen lost a War Games Match to a team that had Marty Jannetty on it, for Pete's sake... and things just aren't looking that good for you right now. But I guess maybe it's just fate. All these people who talk about karma and doing unto others as they do unto you always say that what goes around comes around. Now, I'm not a philosopher like Moy Lazzario, so I don't know about that... but what I do know is that half of the guys in the back can vouch for the fact that you've been around, and they'll also vouch for the fact that you'll come around anything over four inches long and attached to a man's pelvis!!

Whoa, hold on a second there!! Johnny's treading on some shaky ground here... the crowd's cheerling loudly, and Virginia's looking at Johnny with wide eyes and a dropped jaw, like she's not able to believe he just said that.

J. Smiles: I know, I know... I really shouldn't be polluting the minds of the Johnnycoholics with thoughts like that. But at this point, I'm ready to say anything to them, just to distract them from the image of you, standing in that ring with your horrible makeup job, oversized silicon implants, and your clothes that you seem to have stolen from a cheap transvestite prostitute!! So put yourself in my place, Virginia... ask yourself the question... you know what question I'm talking about. What would Johnny do!? And if your answer is "climb into that ring, plant you on your head with the Smiledriver, and win this match for all of Johnnycoholics here in Calgary and all around the world", then you're exactly right. Virginia, darling... this is gonna hurt YOU more than it hurts me.

Johnny Smiles runs to the ring and slides inside, and Virginia's not waiting a second... she's clobbering him as soon as he sets foot in the ring! Bobcat McGavin is your referee, and he's in the ring calling for the bell, as this match begins!!

Johnny Smiles

vs.

Virginia

Virginia wastes no time opening this match in a dominant way, firing away on Johnny Smiles with a series of big right hands. She whips him into the ropes, then bounces off the other side... and runs him over with a clothesline!! She has every bit as much muscle mass as Johnny, and may be a few inches taller... she could have the power advantage in this match. Johnny Smiles gets up, and Virginia hooks him, lifts him, and takes him down in a vertical suplex! Johnny's down, and Virginia drops an elbow into him for good measure, then goes for the cover. Bobcat McGavin's down to count the pin... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Johnny! He won't stay down this soon.

Virginia whips Johnny Smiles into the ropes, and goes for a clothesline as he comes off, but Johnny Smiles ducks! Virginia turns around as he comes off the other side... and Johnny nails her with a running dropkick!! Virginia goes down, and Johnny Smiles nails her with a second dropkick as she gets up, sending her down again! Johnny Smiles whips Virginia into the turnbuckles, then charges in after her with a jumping avalanche!! Virginia staggers out... and Johnny Smiles hooks her by the hair, taking her down with an inverted DDT!! He pauses to howl at the fans, cupping his hands to his mouth, then hooks her legs and goes for a scorpion deathlock... but Virginia pulls him down, a little slowly and awkwardly, into a small package, ending that little Sting imitation. Bobcat McGavin goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Once again, Johnny Smiles kicks out at two!!

They both pop up, and Virginia lashes out at Johnny Smiles with a kick... but he catches her foot! Johnny Smiles stops to taunt Virginia, holding her foot... and she jumps up and clocks him with an enzuigiri!! That came pretty much out of left field, and now she's getting up again, pulling him up by the hair. She clobbers him across the back with a few massive forearms, then picks him up and gives him a massive backbreaker. Johnny Smiles is left writhing on the mat, and Virginia hits the ropes, coming off with a splash... but Johnny Smiles gets his knees up in Virginia's abdomen!! Virginia rolls off, clutching at her stomach... and Johnny Smiles is slowly getting up. They both get to their feet, and Johnny Smiles whips Virginia into the ropes, no, Virginia reverses!! Virginia puts her head down for a backdrop... but Johnny Smiles counters it with a sunset flip!! Bobcat McGavin goes to count the pin again... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Virginia!!

They both get up, and Virginia furiously charges Johnny Smiles... right into an armdrag takedown!! Virginia shakes it off, then gets up and charges again, directly into another armdrag takedown from Johnny Smiles!! She charges again, and Johnny hits her with a kick to the midsection, then comes off the ropes and nails her with a running knee lift to the face, taking her off her feet! Virginia gets up, pulling herself up on the ropes... and Johnny Smiles nails her with a dropkick, sending her spilling out over the top rope! Virginia lands in a heap on the outside, and starts getting back up, trying to shake off the flurry of offense she's been hit with... and Johnny takes a running start, then nails her with a baseball slide, sending her crashing into the guardrail!!

Johnny rolls out after her, and whips her into the guardrail, then begins nailing her with a series of right hands to the head. Johnny Smiles picks her up, then takes her down with a bodyslam on the floor, and begins rummaging under the ring, pulling out a table. He sets up the table, then hooks Virginia... and he gives her a vertical suplex through the table!! Virginia's lying in the wreckage of the table, and Johnny's starting to get up... but Bobcat McGavin's count's getting a little high, and Johnny quickly rolls Virginia into the ring, then climbs back in himself.

Inside the ring, Johnny nails Virginia with a few more right hands, then whips her into the ropes... but again, Virginia reverses! Johnny comes off the other side... and Virginia catches him in a bearhug!! Virginia has caught Johnny in a bearhug, and he's struggling, trying to escape her grip... he grabs her head in his hands, and tilts her face... he kisses her!! Johnny Smiles just kissed Virginia, and she's letting him go, making faces and gagging... and Johnny kicks her in the midsection, then takes her down with a jawbreaker! Virginia's down, and Johnny drops a leg on her, then goes for the cover! Bobcat McGavin goes down to make the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half by Virginia!

Johnny gives Virginia a few more right hands, then begins going up to the top turnbuckle... and Virginia's getting up. Johnny comes off the top with a flying axhandle... but Virginia catches him!! Belly-to-belly suplex by Virginia!! Now they're both down, and Virginia's getting up slightly ahead of Johnny... and she runs him over with a massive clothesline as he tries to stand up! Virginia's in control of this match now... she picks Johnny up, then bodyslams him to the mat and drops an elbow on him, then another one. Now she's going for the cover... no, she's choking him!! Virginia's choking Johnny, and Bobcat McGavin begins counting to five, ordering her to release the hold... and she does, just as the five count draws near.

She pulls Johnny Smiles to his feet, and now she's lifting him up... Gorilla Press!! Virginia's showing a lot of power here... and she presses Johnny up into the air, letting him fall behind her, then comes off the ropes and nails him with a big splash to the back!! She rolls him over and goes for the cover, and Bobcat McGavin makes the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half! Virginia's pulling Johnny up again, and she staggers him with a headbutt... then nails him with a blatant low blow!! Johnny doubles over, and Virginia ignores Bobcat McGavin's protests as she clobbers Johnny with a few massive forearms to the back, then gives him an inverted atomic drop. With Johnny staggered, she runs into the ropes, then comes off and flattens him with another clothesline! She drops an elbow on him and hooks a leg, going for the pin. Bobcat McGavin's down to count again... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half again!!

Virginia pulls Johnny up, and hammers him with a few more forearms to the back. She whips him into the turnbuckle, and charges in with a massive jumping avalanche!! She whips him to the other turnbuckle, and Johnny staggers out... right into a big powerslam!! Once again, Virginia hooks the leg, looking for the pin. Bobcat McGavin's counting... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Shoulder up at two and a half!! Virginia hauls Johnny up, hitting him with a few more big right hands, then whips him into the ropes. She goes for a clothesline as Johnny comes off... but Johnny hooks her arm and swings up on her shoulders... he's going for a crucifix!! But Virginia holds him up... and she's countering with an airplane spin, spinning him around a couple times, then dropping him in an Ace Crusher!! Virginia just hit the airplane spin into an Ace Crusher, and she's going for the pin... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters!!

Virginia seems a little surprised that that didn't do it... but she's pulling Johnny up again. She hammers him in the back a few more times, then puts him in a standing headscissors. She lifts Johnny up for a power bomb... but Johnny counters it with a Frankensteiner!! Virginia goes down, and now both of them are getting back up a little slowly. Virginia's up first, and she charges with a clothesline... but Johnny ducks, and pops up with a superkick... but Virginia steps to the side!! Johnny misses and goes off balance, staggering briefly... and Virginia kicks him right in the groin!! Johnny Smiles doubles over, and now Virginia puts the standing headscissors on again... and she gives him a power bomb!! Virginia goes for the cover... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters again by Johnny!!

A little frustrated now, Virginia grabs Johnny, and hooks on a rear chinlock. She drags him to the mat, and holds it tightly. Bobcat McGavin checks to make sure it isn't a choke, then begins checking on Johnny, seeing if he's still in it. Johnny struggles briefly, but eventually goes limp in Virginia's clutches. The crowd begins stomping their feet and clapping their hands, and a "LET'S GO JOHNNY!" chant starts and quickly grows to deafening volume. Bobcat McGavin checks Johnny's arm once... and it falls. He checks his arm again, and it falls again. He checks his arm a third time... and Johnny's arm stays up!! His hand's shaking, and he's getting back to his feet... and he elbows Virginia in the midsection! He hits her with a second elbow, and that breaks the chinlock!! Johnny Smiles runs into the ropes... and Virginia catches him as he comes off... SPINEBUSTER!! Virginia caught Johnny Smiles as he came off the ropes, and nailed him with the Spinebuster!! This could be it... she goes for the cover, grabbing a handful of tights, as the crowd boos loudly. Bobcat McGavin goes down to make the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters!!

Virginia looks a little frustrated, and she's stepping out to the apron now. She's going up to the top turnbuckle... this is unusual. She's a little slow going up... and Johnny's up too! Johnny nails her in the midsection a few times, and climbs up to the top with her. He gives her a few more shots to the midsection... and he brings her down with a superplex!! The crowd's cheering loudly, but both combatants are down!! Jerry Rogers begins counting them both down, as they lie motionless on the mat... and they're getting up!! Virginia's up... and so is Johnny!! Virginia throws a punch, but Johnny Smiles blocks it, then returns fire with a few punches of his own! He whips her into the ropes, then comes off the other side and nails her with a leaping forearm smash, knocking her down!!

Virginia gets up and takes a swing at Johnny, but he blocks it again, then slides around to the side of her, and takes her down with a Russian legsweep!! Virginia's getting up again, but Johnny gives her a knee in the midsection, doubling her over. He puts her in a standing headscissors... and takes her down with a power bomb!! He goes for the cover, and Bobcat McGavin counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half!! Johnny Smiles gets back up, and taps his foot on the mat... he's warming up the band, so to speak! We've seen this before... Virginia gets up... and Johnny nails her in the chin with the superkick!! He goes for the cover again... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters!! Johnny picks her up across his shoulders... he's going for the Smiledriver, but Virginia shifts her weight!! She brings Johnny down in a crucifix, and Bobcat McGavin's right on top of it with the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters again!!

They're both getting up, and Virginia charges Johnny Smiles... but he ducks a clothesline!! Johnny hauls her up across his shoulders again... SMILEDRIVER!! This time, it connected!! The crowd erupts, and Johnny Smiles covers Virginia, hooking a leg, as Bobcat McGavin makes the count again... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THREE!! Johnny Smiles just won this match!!

Johnny Smiles pinned Virginia with the Smiledriver in 0:16:05.

The crowd erupts into cheers as Johnny's hands are raised in victory. He did it!! Johnny just beat Virginia!! In the course of only one night, Administration X has been levelled to the ground. Virginia is laid out on the mat, and Johnny's posing in the ring... and now he's asking for a microphone... and he gets one!!

J. Smiles: I guess that takes care of THAT. Now... give me back my old theme music!!

"Degenerated" by the Lone Rangers begins playing over the arena sound system, and the crowd bursts into even louder cheers as Johnny remains in the ring, posing for the crowd and doing X-shaped crotch chops. But wait... Virginia's slowly starting to pull herself up off of the mat... she's shaking her head and putting a hand to her neck in pain... and she's coming up from behind Johnny! The crowd boos as she draws back a fist... and Johnny turns around!! Virginia quickly spreads her arms and smiles, trying to play innocent and offer Johnny a reconcilatory hug... but everyone just saw that she was getting ready to attack him from behind!! Everyone but Johnny, that is...

Johnny looks around for the crowd's approval... and they're showing none, booing loudly and jeering at Virginia... and Johnny nails her with a kick to the midsection! Virginia doubles over and staggers forward a step... and Johnny hauls her up on his shoulders! SMILEDRIVER!! The crowd erupts into cheers again, and once again, Virginia is laid out on the mat! Johnny Smiles continues to pose for the cheering crowd for a while, then heads backstage, with the crowd still cheering behind him... then Virginia gets up and staggers backstage to loud boos and a chant of "SLUT!".

It's time for our next match, now... one that's probably very near and dear to the people of Calgary. This will be the match for the VCW Intercontinental Title, and... oh, boy, here we go! "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin is playing over the arena sound system, and the crowd begins drowning it out with a deafening round of boos as Julian Page steps out of the backstage area, wearing all of his mock Bret Hart ring attire, right down to the jacket and pink sunglasses, in addition to the VCW Intercontinental Title. The crowd continues to boo loud enough to shake the rafters, and gives him a huge chant of "ASSHOLE" as he comes to the ring. He enters the ring and grabs a microphone, as the crowd continues to boo.

J. Page: Tonight, Canada... I'm going to officially have the torch passed to me and become the greatest Canadian national hero of all time! And tonight, you'll get to take one last look at your former so-called hero, Bret "The Has-been" Hart... though I don't know why the hell you'd want to see him again, because Bret Hart sucks!!

Trash begins raining down on the ring, and the boos somehow get even louder, mingling with a "WE WANT BRET!" chant. The H.A.R.P. Squad gets in position to restrain some fans from leaping the guardrail and charging the ring.

J. Page: You know... it's obvious that you all feel very emotional and passionate about Bret Hart, and the pride you take in our nation, and I respect that. ... But it doesn't change anything, because Bret Hart still sucks, just like all of you mentally retarded lowlife douchebags here in Calgary!!

Julian Page had better be careful here... he's on the verge of starting a riot. But he just laughs as the deafening boos and chant continue, and trash continues to pile up in the ring... but wait just a second!! "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi just hit the arena sound system... could that be... IT IS!! The crowd positively EXPLODES into deafening cheers as Bret "The Hitman" Hart steps out of the backstage area and begins heading to the ring! The entire building seems to be shaking from the cheers as Bret Hart makes his way to the ring, stopping along the way to take off his jacket and hand his sunglasses to a fan in the crowd... and he's stepping into the ring!! Julian Page steps into his face, saying something that can't be heard over the roar of the crowd... and Bret Hart just floored him with a right hand to the side of the head!! Linda Peterson steps into the ring, calling for the bell, and we've got a match!!

Julian Page tries to stagger away, but Bret Hart grabs his arm, then whips him back-first into the guardrail! Julian Page slumps against the guardrail, with fans pulling his hair and getting in shots on him, and Bret Hart comes over to rain a few fists down on Julian Page himself, then whips him away from the guardrail, into the ringsteps! Julian Page begins to pull himself up again, and Bret Hart nails him with a few kneelifts, then rolls him back into the ring and comes in after him. Now Julian Page is raining down a series of right hands to Bret Hart's skull... he's intentionally drilling him in the head!! Bret Hart is fighting through a career-ending concussion, and that bastard Julian Page is hitting him in the head repeatedly!! The crowd boos and starts a loud chant of "ASSHOLE", but Julian Page doesn't really seem to care. He holds Bret Hart in place by the hair, then drills him in the head with a few weak-looking Dusty Rhodes style elbowsmashes. Julian Page hooks him for a suplex, then lifts him up... no... don't do it!! Brain buster!! It looked a little weak and shoddy, but it may have done the job! Julian Page goes for the cover... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Shoulder up at two and a half by Bret Hart!!

Julian Page tosses Bret Hart out of the ring, then goes out after him to continue the offense. He grabs him by the hair... and he takes him head-first into the ringsteps!! Not this!! DDT ON THE RAMP!! There is NO padding on that entrance ramp... Julian Page just PLANTED Bret Hart with a DDT on the steel entrance ramp, and Linda Peterson should be stopping this match. Bret Hart may be unconscious... he could be seriously, seriously injured. This isn't the kind of thing you want to play around with.

Julian Page pulls Bret Hart's limp body up and rolls him into the ring, then goes in after him. Maybe now he'll at least have the decency to pin him and get it over with. The crowd erupts into boos, and Bret Hart cries out in pain as Julian Page cinches in the hold a little tighter!

Bret Hart's struggling, but they're right in the middle of the ring, nowhere near the ropes. He's probably not going to be able to make the ropes... so he's trying to push up and power out of it!! But Julian Page is holding it on tight, and Bret Hart's never been known as a powerhouse... and this isn't working either!! Bret Hart's trapped in the Sharpshooter, in the middle of the ring!! The crowd's starting a chant of "LET'S GO BRET!!" but it's not getting him out of the hold!! Is this how it ends!? (Bret Hart won the VCW Intercontinental Title.)

All of those months of attempts by Julian Page to tarnish the legacy of Bret "The Hitman" Hart have been avenged!! The real Hitman, the real execellence of execution, and the real best there is, best there was, and best there ever will be is the man standing in the middle of the ring over the fallen body of Julian Page, with every last fan in this arena cheering loudly for him!! Linda Peterson hands Bret Hart the VCW Intercontinental Title, and he goes around to pose on each of the top turnbuckles with it, getting a massive pop from the crowd each time, then stands in the center of the ring, raising the title high above his head in both hands, to the biggest pop yet.

He straps the title on... and now he's pulling Julian Page up!! He grabs the straps of Julian Page's mock Hitman ring attire... and he's ripping it off!! Bret Hart tears off Julian Page's mock Hitman tights, stripping him just like he did to Curt Hennig at Summerslam '91, until Julian Page is left lying on the mat, wearing only a pair of black trunks that he wore under the Hitman tights. The crowd cheers loudly as Bret Hart tosses the mock Hitman ring attire aside, then motions for a microphone, and gets one.

B. Hart: You know... I don't really know what to say. I'd like to thank all my fans, here in Calgary and all around the world, for believing in me and looking up to me as a hero all these years. Thanks for all your support... and I'll see you later.

The crowd continues to stand on their feet and cheer loudly as Bret Hart slowly walks backstage, wearing the VCW Intercontinental Title and slapping the hands of fans in the aisles. If this truly is his last match... then at least he goes out as a winner and a champion, in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, at one of the biggest matches in VCW's biggest pay-per-view event of the year, Wrestlewar. Julian Page gets up and begins hobbling towards the backstage area, as the crowd gives him a mild round of boos. Defeated, broken, and stripped of his imitation Bret Hart ring attire, he no longer inspires such intense hatred in the crowds as he drags himself backstage.

We're about to see another highly anticipated match, in a few short moments. "Shame" by Rollins Band, begins playing over the arena sound system, and the crowd responds with loud cheers, but nowhere close to the reaction they gave Bret Hart, as Falcon steps out of the backstage area, accompanied by Lady Erica Whitmore... but he turns and starts saying something to her, and reluctantly she heads backstage. Perhaps it's for the best that he leaves Lady Erica Whitmore backstage tonight... he's lost some matches under suspicious circumstances thanks to her involvement, and nobody's really sure that she's not back with Lance Errington. Falcon walks down the aisle, still favoring his back a little as he walks, then enters the ring and poses for the crowd, getting a moderately loud burst of cheers. He turns to wait for the entrance of Lance Errington as the fanfare dies down.

"Perfect Strangers" by Dream Theater begins playing over the arena sound system... is that Lance Errington? He used to use the Deep Purple version of "Perfect Strangers"... it's him!! Lance Errington steps out of the backstage area, and the crowd boos loudly as he heads to the ring. He's sizing up Falcon cautiously as he comes to the ring, as if carefully deciding how to take him apart. He seems unusually calm and sure of himself as he steps into the ring, preparing to do battle with Falcon. Jerry Rogers enters the ring and calls for the bell, and this match is ready to begin!!

Falcon

vs.

Lance Errington

Lance Errington locks up with Falcon, and goes behind him into a waistlock. He goes for a German suplex, but Falcon flips out of it behind him, then goes for a superkick, but Lance Errington ducks! Lance Errington goes for a clothesline, but Falcon ducks and hooks his arm as he goes by then hooks the other arm and goes for a backslide... but Lance Errington flips over to stand in front of him, then lashes out with a kick to the midsection... but Falcon catches his foot!! But Lance Errington jumps up with an enzuigiri... and Falcon ducks it!! Lance Errington wipes out on the mat, with Falcon still holding his foot... and Falcon puts him in an STF!! The crowd cheers for the impressive exchange at the start, and Lance Errington cries out in pain as he quickly drags himself to the ropes.

Both men get up, a little cautious after that exchange... and once again they lock up... but this time, Lance Errington wastes no time in driving a kneelift into Falcon's gut from the lockup. He drives Falcon back into the turnbuckle and unloads on him with a few more knees, then whips him to the other side... no, Falcon reverses! Lance Errington slams back-first into the turnbuckle and staggers out... and Falcon takes him down with a backdrop! A brief look of pain flashes across Falcon's face after that backdrop, which didn't seem to do any wonders for his injured back, but he's ready as Lance Errington gets up and charges, taking him down with an armdrag takedown! Lance Errington gets up and charges in again, straight into another armdrag takedown! He rolls out of the ring, banging his fists on the apron in frustration as he takes some time to regroup and form a new plan... and Falcon comes up near him, then grabs the top rope and slingshots himself out onto Lance Errington with a slingshot bodypress plancha!!

Lance Errington goes down in a heap under Falcon, and Falcon begins raining right hands down on his forehead repeatedly. Falcon pulls Lance Errington up, and whips him into the guardrail, then knocks him down with a clothesline as he staggers out. Falcon whips him towards the ringsteps... but Lance Errington reverses!! Falcon's injured back collides with the ringsteps, and Lance Errington grabs a handful of his hair as he staggers forward, then takes him head-first into the ringpost as well. Falcon starts to stagger away, but Lance Errington scoops him up, then drives him back-first into the ringpost! Falcon cries out in pain at the attack on his wounded back, and Lance Errington puts him down with a bodyslam! The protective mats around ringside are thin, and don't absorb much impact... Falcon's back has to be taking one hell of a pounding from that. Lance Errington pulls him up and stops to drive a few punches down into the side of Falcon's head, then rolls Falcon into the ring and comes in after him.

Falcon starts to get up, but Lance Errington stomps and kicks at him a few times, then picks him up and gives him a backbreaker. Falcon begins writhing in pain on the mat, and Lance Errington drives an elbow into him, then goes for the cover... no, he's not going for the cover, he's choking him!! Jerry Rogers gives Lance Errington a five-count as he chokes Falcon, then gets to five and orders Lance Errington to let go, before he starts counting again. This time, Lance Errington releases Falcon shortly after four, holding his hands up as Jerry Rogers lectures him uselessly. Falcon's starting to get up, and Lance Errington picks him up and bodyslams him, then bounces off the ropes and nails him with a kneedrop! He hooks a leg this time, going for the pin, and Jerry Rogers goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half by Falcon!

Lance Errington pulls Falcon up, and puts him in a standing headscissors. He lifts Falcon up for a power bomb... but Falcon counters it with a Frankensteiner!! Both men get up, and Lance Errington goes for a kneelift, but Falcon grabs his knee and takes him down, then holds it and turns Lance Errington over into a half Boston! Lance Errington likes to think of himself as a great technician, but so far Falcon has matched him pretty evenly on technical skills! Lance Errington quickly claws his way to the ropes, and Jerry Rogers orders Falcon to release the hold. He does, but he stays right on Lance Errington, pulling him up and nailing him with a few punches to the side of the head, then whipping him into the ropes and running into the other side. They meet in the middle, and Falcon takes Lance Errington down with a high cross body, then hooks the leg! Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Lance Errington!!

They get up, and Falcon whips Lance Errington into a turnbuckle, then follows him in with a kneelift, doubling him over. Falcon puts Lance Errington in a headlock, and takes a running start out of the corner, hitting Lance Errington with a bulldog! Lance Errington gets up, a little shaky, and Falcon grabs his head and turns him around into a reverse neckbreaker, then gets up and nails him with an elbowdrop, before making another pin attempt... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two again by Lance Errington! Falcon gets up again, and Lance Errington pulls himself to his feet as well... and Falcon takes him down with a kneebreaker!! Lance Errington's on the mat, and Falcon quickly grabs his leg and drops a pair of elbows into the knee. Falcon goes for a figure-four leglock... but Lance Errington kicks him off, and Falcon collides shoulder-first with one of the turnbuckles! He staggers out, backwards... and Lance Errington rolls him up from behind, grabbing his blue jeans and hooking them! Jerry Rogers makes the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two and a half by Falcon!

Falcon and Lance Errington both get to their feet... but Lance Errington takes the advantage, nailing Falcon with an eye gouge. He gives Falcon a few punches to the head, then whips him back-first into the turnbuckle. Falcon staggers out, favoring his back... and Lance Errington catches him and drills him with a spinebuster!! He goes for the cover, hooking his leg, and Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters by Falcon! Lance Errington gets up, pausing briefly to shake out his right knee, the focus of several of Falcon's attacks. He pulls Falcon up by the hair, and steps to his side, then takes him down with a Russian legsweep!! Rather than going for the cover again, he gets up, and drops several rapid-fire elbowdrops into Falcon.

Now Lance Errington's going up to the top turnbuckle... he's waiting for Falcon to get up. Falcon gets to his feet, favoring his back heavily as he winces in pain... and Lance Errington comes off the top, drilling him with a flying axhandle!! Falcon goes down, but Lance Errington's still not done... he picks him up and hooks him for a vertical suplex... but Falcon blocks it, and takes him down with a small package!! Jerry Rogers is right on top of it... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Lance Errington! He was a little surprised by that, and pops up, charging Falcon with a clothesline... and Falcon ducks and once again hooks his arm, then the other one, looking for a backslide! But Lance Errington once again flips over in front of him. Lance Errington takes a swing at Falcon, but Falcon blocks it and goes behind him, hooking his arm, then the other one in a full nelson... DRAGON SUPLEX!! But Falcon's back was too weak to hold the bridge for a pin attempt!

Both men are getting up, Falcon slightly ahead of Lance Errington. Falcon nails Lance Errington with a kick to the midsection, then whips him into the ropes again. Falcon catches him coming off, and lifts him up... then falls back, dropping him throat-first across the ropes! But lifting Lance Errington isn't helping Falcon's back any... he's getting up a little slower, with a hand on his back, though he's still up before Lance Errington. Lance Errington gets up, right into a kick to the midsection from Falcon... and Falcon turns and hooks his head for an Ace Crusher, but Lance Errington shoves him off, causing him to collide chest-first with the turnbuckle! Falcon staggers backwards... and Lance Errington drives a knee right into the base of his back, then pulls him back and gives him an inverted DDT!! The crowd boos as Lance Errington pulls himself up off of the mat, then points to his head and smiles, indicating that he outsmarted Falcon that time. That may be, but so far, Falcon's display of technical wrestling ability has been, if anything, superior to that of Lance Errington, who has relied mainly on brawling and exploiting Falcon's injured back.

Lance Errington pulls Falcon up into a standing headscissors, then hooks his arms. He could be going for a tiger driver or a double-underhook faceslam... but no, Falcon backdrops him!! Falcon took Lance Errington down with a backdrop, but he taxed his injured back even further. He leans against the ropes, pain visibly etched across his face. Lance Errington gets back up and moves in on him... and Falcon turns and blindly swings a right hand at him!! Lance Errington ducks, then puts Falcon in a waistlock from behind... and he gives him an atomic drop!! That has to be sending a jolt all the way up his spine... and Lance Errington holds the waistlock, giving Falcon a second atomic drop!! Falcon goes slightly limp in his grasp... and Lance Errington takes him down with a German suplex, holding the bridge as Jerry Rogers comes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Shoulder up at two and three-quarters by Falcon!!

Lance Errington makes a motion as if he's ready to finish this match, then places Falcon on the top turnbuckle and climbs up with him. He hooks Falcon for a superplex... but Falcon nails him with a shot to the ribs! Falcon breaks the superplex attempt with a few shots to the ribs, then hooks Lance Errington around the waist... he straightens up... and jumps off the turnbuckle into the ring, holding Lance Errington... top-rope inverted atomic drop!! The crowd pops for the unexpected move, as Lance Errington doubles over, his face contorting in pain... and Falcon kicks his right knee out from under him! Lance Errington goes down, and Falcon rolls out of the ring! What's this all about!?

Outside of the ring, Falcon grabs both of Lance Errington's legs... and pulls him crotch-first into the ringpost!! Lance Errington's expression of pain becomes even more exaggerated, and Falcon grabs his right leg, then wraps it forcefully around the ringpost. Now Falcon's grabbing his legs again... and he gives him the figure-four leglock around the ringpost!! The crowd cheers for the Bret Hart signature spot, but Jerry Rogers begins counting, ordering Falcon to release the hold. Falcon ignores the first five-count, but Jerry Rogers simply starts over, demanding the release of the hold a little more firmly. Not wanting to push his luck, Falcon releases the hold, then rolls back into the ring, where he crouches over Lance Errington, and rains a series of punches down into his forehead.

Falcon pulls Lance Errington up, and whips him into the ropes, then takes him down with a high knee as he comes off the other side with a hobbling run. With Lance Errington down, Falcon begins climbing to the top turnbuckle, a little slowly as he favors his wounded back, then comes off the top with a flying elbowdrop!! He covers Lance Errington, hooking a leg, and Jerry Rogers makes the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Shoulder up at two and a half!! Falcon gets up, with pain and fatigue obviously beginning to show on his face, and pulls Lance Errington up as well. He nails him with a kick to the midsection, then runs into the ropes and springs off the middle rope... FALCONSAULT!! But Lance Errington drops down low, and Falcon wipes out on the mat!! Both men begin getting up... and Lance Errington catches Falcon with a low blow!!

Falcon doubles over, and Lance Errington gets up, then hobbles behind him and puts on a cobra clutch. Falcon struggles, thrashing around like a wounded animal for several seconds... but then his motion begins to fade, and his struggling becomes weaker. He drops to his knees, then the floor, as Lance Errington keeps the hold applied. Falcon struggles, twitching weakly and trying to lurch towards the ropes, but he's fading, and finally goes limp. Jerry Rogers checks his arm... and it falls once. He checks his arm again, and the crowd's stomping and clapping and starting a fairly good-sized "FALCON" chant... but his arm falls twice. He raises Falcon's arm a third time... and it almost falls, but it stays up!! Falcon begins fighting his way up, struggling to get out of the hold... he gets back to his knees, then to his feet... and he backs suddenly into a turnbuckle!! Lance Errington is smashed between Falcon and a turnbuckle, and he loosens the hold as they stagger out of the corner... and Falcon reaches up with his free hand, grabbing Lance Errington's head, and brings him down with a jawbreaker, breaking the hold!!

Both men are laid out on the mat for several seconds, as Falcon gasps for breath, and Lance Errington begins slowly pulling himself up, still having a little difficulty on his bad knee. They're both getting up, Lance Errington slightly ahead of Falcon... Lance Errington comes forward and takes a swing at Falcon, but Falcon blocks it! Falcon returns fire, nailing Lance Errington with a series of punches, then runs into the ropes... but Lance Errington calmly cuts him down with a spinning elbowsmash as he comes off the ropes. Lance Errington takes a moment to survey Falcon's prone form, then drops a leg across him... but instead of going for the pin, he's getting up and pulling Falcon up by the hair! He puts Falcon in a standing headscissors, and hooks both of his arms... TIGER DRIVER!! That may have been the move that destroyed Falcon's back... but Lance Errington isn't holding it for the pin! He holds his legs and gets up, then steps through and turns him over... into the Scorpion Deathlock!! The crowd boos loudly, and Falcon cries out in pain... that move targets the opponent's back as well as his legs, and Falcon's a long way from the ropes!!

Falcon's struggling, trying to pull himself towards the ropes... but he's just not close enough!! He struggles forward, fighting for every inch... but there's no way in hell he can make it fast enough! The crowd's getting behind him, cheering and chanting "FALCON", but that's not getting him out of the hold any faster... and he keeps struggling towards the ropes!! He raises his hand and starts to bring it down to tap out, but it clenches into a fist midway through, and a look of pained determination crosses his face! He begins pulling himself towards the ropes... he's getting closer... he's not too far away now!! Lance Errington can't seem to believe it... he's sitting down on the hold, pulling back to increase the pressure... but Falcon's still slowly crawling to the ropes! He makes a frenzied, desperate lunge... and his fingertips brush the ropes, but he's not quite there yet!! Falcon's reaching out, trying to grasp the ropes... and Lance Errington begins dragging him back into the center of the ring... but Falcon plants his hands on the mat and pushes up and out of the hold suddenly, tipping Lance Errington forward!! When he started dragging Falcon back, Lance Errington lost his deep center of balance, making it possible for Falcon to push up and escape the hold!!

Lance Errington gets up, and looks at Falcon with a dumbfounded stare... but Falcon's still a weakened wreck on the mat. Falcon crawls over and grabs the ropes, clutching them with white knuckles, knowing that Lance Errington can't reapply the Scorpion Deathlock as long as he has the ropes. Lance Errington grabs one of his legs, and begins trying to pull him away from the ropes... but Falcon's other leg somehow plants itself on the mat, and Falcon grabs the second rope and pulls himself up, somehow managing to get back to his feet and turn around!! Lance Errington still has his leg... and Falcon jumps up and nails him in the head with an enzuigiri!! Lance Errington goes down, and once again, both men are laid out, motionless on the mat!!

Falcon begins getting up first, but Lance Errington gets up more quickly, which is to be expected considering that his spine hasn't been reduced to bony shards of gravel. Falcon grabs Lance Errington and tries to whip him into the ropes, but Lance Errington reverses! Falcon comes off the ropes... and Lance Errington nails him with a kick to the midsection!! Falcon doubles over... ACE CRUSHER!! Lance Errington just gave Falcon the Ace Crusher, and he goes down, hooking his leg! Jerry Rogers makes the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THRE... Shoulder up at two and nine-tenths!! Lance Errington looks at Jerry Rogers incredulously, not believing that somehow, that didn't do it!

After a moment of futile argument with Jerry Rogers, Lance Errington steps out to the apron, then begins climbing to the top turnbuckle, slowed once again by his wounded knee. He stands on top, and comes off with a diving headbutt... but Falcon rolls over!! Lance Errington wipes out face-first on the mat, and they're both down and out yet again! Both men are running a little low on energy, pushing their bodies to the limit, Falcon perhaps moreso than Lance Errington. Lance Errington's up first... and he's hooking Falcon's legs again! He's going for the Scorpion Deathlock... but Falcon was playing dead, and he pulls him down into a small package!! Jerry Rogers goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters!! Lance Errington almost fell for that!!

They're both getting up now, and Lance Errington beats Falcon to the draw, nailing him with a series of punches, then drilling him in the gut to double him over. Lance Errington takes Falcon down with a snap mare, then kicks him in the lower back when he sits up. Lance Errington pulls Falcon to his feet and gives him a kick to the midsection, then goes behind him into a waistlock. But Falcon nails Lance Errington with a back elbow to the head, breaking the hold, then runs into the ropes and springs off... FALCONSAULT!! This time, it connected!! Lance Errington tries to catch it, but his knee goes out from under him!! Falcon lands on top, covering him, as Jerry Rogers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters!! Lance Errington's not ready to go down just yet!!

Falcon gets up, and Lance Errington's getting up a little slowly. Falcon backs into a corner, obviously measuring him for the superkick. Lance Errington gets up, Falcon lashes out... and Lance Errington ducks!! Lance Errington turns to flatten Falcon with a clothesline... but Falcon ducks this one, and Lance Errington mows down Jerry Rogers!! Lance Errington turns around... SUPERKICK!! This time, Falcon's superkick connected, and Lance Errington is laid out!! Falcon begins to go for the cover, but then notices that Jerry Rogers is down... and he's pulling Lance Errington up instead!! He pulls him up to his feet, then nails him with a kick to the midsection, takes a deep breath, and closes his eyes as if focusing... and he hooks him in the vertical suplex position! He somehow lifts him up, as agony crosses his face... FALCON ARROW!! That's it!! That HAS to be it!! Falcon just dropped Lance Errington right on his head, and Lance Errington looks to be out cold!! But Falcon's down, and so is Jerry Rogers.

Falcon looks up, his face a mask of pain, and slowly drags himself forward, draping his body over Lance Errington's. That move took everything he had left, but Lance Errington is laid out! Falcon grabs Jerry Rogers's wrist, and taps it on the mat for a three count, but that doesn't matter... Jerry Rogers actually has to be the one making the three count of his own volition! Falcon has Lance Errington beat in the middle of the ring... this has to be close to a ten count by now, and still counting! Lance Errington is just knocked out cold!! But... oh, no... someone's coming out of the backstage area! Over six and a half feet tall, wearing a black tuxedo, with shoulders as wide as a barge... that sure as hell isn't Lady Erica Whitmore. That's the former Golden Society butler, Tuxedo!! What's he doing here!? He hasn't been seen in over a year!!

Tuxedo lumbers to the ring as the crowd boos, then climbs inside. Falcon gets up, slowly and painfully, but he's not in any condition to fight. Tuxedo advances on him, and nails him with a kick to the midsection, then puts him in a standing headscissors. He lifts Falcon up... JACKKNIFE POWER BOMB!! Falcon is a splattered mess on the mat, and Tuxedo's work here is done... he turns around and lumbers out of the ring, then begins heading backstage as the crowd boos. No wonder Lance Errington looked a little cocky coming into this match... he seemed to have an insurance policy!! Tuxedo just came out of nowhere and laid Falcon out, and now Lance Errington's starting to stir!! He crawls across Falcon and covers him... but there's STILL no referee to count!!

Lance Errington gets up, shaking out his knee, then manages a few weak stomps to Falcon's body. He turns and starts motioning for somebody to come out of the backstage area... is he calling Tuxedo back out for more punishment!? Someone's coming out... LADY ERICA WHITMORE!! She's coming out of the backstage area, dressed in an elegant blue evening gown, adorned with tens of thousands of dollars of jewelry, and holding a pipe wrench... and she's smiling!! Damn it... this isn't what it looks like, is it!? Somebody tell me this isn't what it looks like!! Tuxedo was the Whitmore family butler, and Erica's dressed up in a bunch of snobbish finery, just like she used to dress in the Golden Society... are Lance and Erica back together, after everything that's happened!? How could she forgive him for hitting her in the head with a wrench, for completely disrespecting her as an independent person!? Was this a setup all along!? Erica walks to the ring, holding the wrench and smiling at Lance like a schoolgirl who just took first place in a spelling bee, as the crowd boos.

She stands up on the apron, and Lance Errington comes over to her, spreading his arms wide... and Erica spreads her arms and embraces him! They share a long, passionate kiss at the side of the ring... this is just sickening. The crowd boos loudly, and a chant of "SLUT!" begins and grows in volume quickly. They break the embrace, and Lance Errington looks out of the corner of his eye, seeing both Jerry Rogers and Falcon beginning to stir on the mat. Realizing that they'd better do this quickly, he reaches out for the pipe wrench... AND ERICA NAILS HIM UPSIDE THE HEAD WITH IT!! Lance Errington staggers back, clutching the side of his head... and Falcon rolls him up from behind!! Jerry Rogers goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THREE!!

Falcon pinned Lance Errington with an inside cradle in 0:34:17.
Rating: *** 1/2

What a savage brawl and wrestling match that was! That match went into overtime, but Jerry Rogers did the right thing for once by ignoring the time limit and letting the match finish. The fact that he was knocked unconscious probably helped matters too... but whatever the case, Falcon has won this match!! He doesn't look like much of a winner, though... Erica's down at his side, and it doesn't even look like he can stand up. But Lance Errington can... he's getting up, still nursing his knee, and puts a hand to the side of his head... he looks mad! He grabs Lady Erica Whitmore and picks her up, then grabs the pipe wrench and backs Erica into a corner of the ring!!

He's saying something to her, advancing on her threateningly... but now he stops, spreading his arms for another hug, and smiling at her! What's his problem, isn't a pipe wrench to the head a good enough "no" for him!? Erica locks eyes with him... and gives him two middle fingers!! The camera catches her slowly and clearly saying "FUCK YOU" straight to Lance's face... and his eyes just widened in shock!! His jaw drops as he stares at her, appalled... and he draws back the wrench to hit her!! Come on Lance, this doesn't need to go this far... and Falcon's up behind him!! Falcon grabs the wrench out of his hands as he starts to swing!! Lance Errington turns around... and Falcon nails him right between the eyes with the wrench!! The crowd cheers as Lance Errington goes down... and cheers again Erica draws back a foot and kicks him straight between the legs!!

Falcon and Lady Erica Whitmore roll out of the ring, and Falcon leans on Erica's shoulders as he limps backstage, his back ready to give out on him at any second. Really, he should probably be leaving on a stretcher, but walking out of here on his own two feet is a matter of pride. He beat Lance Errington, he learned that Lady Erica Whitmore truly is loyal to him, and he's walking out of here after taking a hellacious beating for over a half-hour; Falcon may be a bruised, battered wreck, but he's also leaving here tonight as a winner. As he and Erica head backstage, Falcon hands the pipe wrench to a fan, who takes it and begins happily using it to take apart the guardrail until the H.A.R.P. Squad comes out to stop him. Falcon heads backstage, and shortly later, Lance Errington gets up and rolls out of the ring, then begins limping away, clutching his head in pain. The crowd's boos echo after him as he slinks backstage in defeat... and it's quite safe to say that tonight didn't go as all as he would have liked.

Not many matches could top what we've just seen in terms of emotional intensity and high stakes... but one that can may be coming up shortly. "I, Zombie (Europe In The Raw Mix)" by White Zombie begins blaring over the arena sound system, and the crowd gives a huge round of boos as Tony Garcia and "The Barcelona Assassin" Lorenzo Vasquez come out of the backstage area, accompanied by a wounded Rebecca Black. She should probably be in a hospital, tending to some of the wounds that she received in her street fight against Melissa DelArmeggio, but she's out here to support Tony Garcia and Lorenzo Vasquez... that's just how important this match is. They enter the ring, and Tony Garcia reluctantly lays the wooden axe handle on the apron as he turns to face the entrance ramp, awaiting the arrival of their opponents tonight.

"For Whom The Bell Tolls" by Metallica begins playing over the arena sound system, and the lights are replaced by dim, silver-blue lights as the crowd explodes into deafening cheers... and here come Troy and Gabriel Black!! And Troy Black has a shovel!! He's walking to the ring, staring down the aisle with a single-minded glare at Rebecca Black... evidently he didn't like what he saw during the street fight!! Tony Garcia picks up his axe handle again and stands in front of Rebecca Black, daring Troy Black to come to the ring and attack him, as Lorenzo Vasquez wiggles his fingers at him and backs up in mock fright. Gabriel Black stops Troy Black halfway down the aisle, saying something to him... and evidently he's getting through to him, because Troy Black stops and lays down the shovel... and now Gabriel's walking to the ring! What did he tell Troy, to let him have a piece of the action before he goes postal with the shovel? Tony Garcia drops the axe handle and stands in the center of the ring to meet him... and Brendan Powers slides into the ring, calling for the bell... this match is on!!

Troy Black & Gabriel Black

vs.

Tony Garcia & "The Barcelona Assassin" Lorenzo Vasquez
w/Rebecca Black

Gabriel Black enters the ring, going toe to toe with Tony Garcia as the match begins... and that may not be wise! But Gabriel Black knows it, and he ducks under a punch, wrapping around behind Tony Garcia... and with considerable effort, he lifts him and takes him down with a belly-to-back suplex!! Tony Garcia gets up, a little rocked by that move... and Gabriel Black takes him down with a picture-perfect dropkick! Tony Garcia gets up, and Gabriel Black hammers him with a series of right hands, driving him back to the ropes... then nails him with another dropkick, sending him over the top rope to the outside of the ring! Gabriel Black runs off the other side as Tony Garcia gets up... and jumps out onto him with a tope con hilo!! Tony Garcia goes crashing down against the guardrail!

Gabriel Black gets up, but they're in enemy territory, near the wrong corner. Lorenzo Vasquez jumps down off of the apron and comes after Gabriel Black, but Gabriel Black drills him with a kick to the midsection! He grabs Lorenzo Vasquez by the hair, then grabs Tony Garcia's hair in the other hand, and knocks their heads together! Lorenzo Vasquez goes down, and Gabriel Black rams Tony Garcia head-first into the ringpost, sending him to the floor. Lorenzo Vasquez gets up, but Gabriel Black whips him into the guardrail, then turns and knocks down Rebecca Black with a spinning backhand punch as she advances on him. Lorenzo Vasquez staggers forward from the guardrail, and Gabriel Black takes him down with a backdrop on the floor! Tony Garcia gets up, and Gabriel Black begins hammering him with a series of rapid punches to the head... but Rebecca Black comes from behind and nails him with a low blow!! Gabriel Black doubles over, and Tony Garcia nails him with a massive forearm to the back, dropping him to the floor.

Tony Garcia picks Gabriel Black up over his shoulder, and pitches him head-first like a dart into the ringpost... and that opened Gabriel Black up. With his forehead bleeding profusely, Gabriel Black begins to pull himself to his feet... but Tony Garcia clobbers him again, then rolls him back in the ring and climbs in after him. Brendan Powers had been counting a little leniently there, which is probably a good call... this match shouldn't end in a double countout in the first few minutes. Tony Garcia clubs Gabriel Black across the back a few times, then tags in Lorenzo Vasquez, who eagerly backs Gabriel Black into a corner and begins nailing him with fists and kneelifts.

Lorenzo Vasquez pulls Gabriel Black out of the corner and drills him with a kick to the midsection, then picks him up and gives him a backbreaker. But he's not stopping at one... he lifts him up, then brings him down across his knee with another backbreaker, before dropping Gabriel Black limply to the ground. He stops briefly to say something to Rebecca which makes her laugh, then turns back to the business at hand and drops an elbow across Gabriel Black, then hooks the leg. Brendan Powers goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Gabriel Black!! It's going to take a good deal more than that to put Gabriel Black away! Lorenzo Vasquez pulls the bleeding, battered form of Gabriel Black up, then tags in Tony Garcia. They both hook their arms around his head and grab his pants, then lift him up, and bring him crashing down with a double vertical suplex!!

Lorenzo Vasquez leaves the ring, and Tony Garcia pulls Gabriel Black up and mauls him with a massive forearm shot to the back. Tony Garcia keeps up the offense, drilling Gabriel Black in the back with a few more shots, then picks him up and goes for a belly-to-back suplex... but Gabriel Black flips out behind him!! Tony Garcia turns around... right into a dropkick from Gabriel Black! He staggers back, then charges forward... and Gabriel Black nails him with a second dropkick, taking him off his feet! Tony Garcia's down, and now Gabriel Black can make the tag... but he's not doing that! He just crouches over Tony Garcia and begins raining right hands down on his forehead!! Why isn't he tagging in Troy?

Tony Garcia throws Gabriel Black off of him and gets up, then charges with a clothesline, but Gabriel Black ducks, then grabs his arm and whips him into the turnbuckle. Gabriel Black charges in with a dropkick that nails Tony Garcia in the midsection, then puts on a headlock and runs up the turnbuckle... swinging bulldog!! Tony Garcia's down, but he's starting to get up again... and Gabriel Black plants him with a Rocker Dropper!! Gabriel Black pulls Tony Garcia up, and rains a few elbowsmashes down across the back of his neck, then grabs his head and pulls him into a reverse neckbreaker, taking him down again. He's working over his neck, looking to eventually give him the Destiny Driver... and somehow, I don't think that he'll show Tony Garcia any mercy if he gets him in that position this time.

Gabriel Black pulls Tony Garcia up to a sitting position and grabs his head from behind, then flips over him in a jumping neck snap. Tony Garcia collapses to the mat once again, and Gabriel drops a leg across his throat, then goes for the cover. Brendan Powers is there to make the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Tony Garcia, who still has a lot left! Tony Garcia starts getting up... and Gabriel Black hooks an arm around his head! He's going for a DDT... but Tony Garcia flings him high into the air with a backdrop!! Gabriel Black gets up... and Tony Garcia runs him over with a massive clothesline!! That cut Gabriel Black down, and Tony Garcia drops an elbow on him, then tags in Lorenzo Vasquez. Gabriel Black made the crucial mistake of not tagging in Troy Black when he had the chance, and now he's bloody, battered, and still in a world of danger as Lorenzo Vasquez enters the ring.

Lorenzo Vasquez pulls Gabriel Black up and hooks him, then takes him down with a snap suplex. Gabriel Black's down, and Lorenzo Vasquez just stomps at him a few times, then throws him out of the ring again near Tony Garcia, then goes out after him. Lorenzo Vasquez grabs Gabriel Black by the hair and introduces his already bloody forehead to the ringpost, then to the ring apron, where it leaves a bloodstain. Lorenzo Vasquez isn't done... he smashes Gabriel Black's forehead into the ringsteps as well! He's trying to knock him out here... and now he's up on the apron, saying something to Brendan Powers... and Tony Garcia picks Gabriel Black up, then rams him back-first into the ringpost!! And he's not done... he backs up and does it again!! Troy Black dismounts from his apron and starts walking over to intervene... but Lorenzo Vasquez stops distracting Brendan Powers, and Tony Garcia steps back up on the apron. Brendan Powers sees Troy Black coming over to get involved, and begins admonishing him, demanding that he return to his corner... and while his back's turned, Lorenzo Vasqeuz grabs the wooden axe handle and clobbers Gabriel Black in the back with it!!

Lorenzo Vasquez rolls Gabriel Black back into the ring, then climbs inside and tags in Tony Garcia, who enters the ring and tosses Gabriel Black into a corner of the ring, then begins opening up on him with big rights and lefts, drilling him with a devestating combo of punches. Gabriel Black staggers out of the corner, and Tony Garcia catches him with a spinebuster!! That's one of his big moves... but he's not going for the cover! He just gets up and begins dropping elbows on Gabriel Black repeatedly. He doesn't just want to beat Gabriel Black... after what he sees as Gabriel's broken promise, he wants to destroy him! Tony Garcia pulls Gabriel Black up and puts him in a standing headscissors, and lifts him up... he's going for a power bomb... but Gabriel Black counters it with a faceslam, shades of Billy Kidman!! Tony Garcia is down, and Gabriel Black gets up!! He's staggering to his corner, holding his hand out for a tag, and Troy's reaching out as well... but Gabriel's hand clenches into a fist as a look of rage washes over his face, and he turns back around!! He's not going for a tag!! He's too obsessed with punishing Tony Garcia!!

Tony Garcia begins to get back up, but Gabriel Black is hovering over him, his face a bloody mask of rage as he begins pummelling Tony Garcia with right hands. He hammers Tony Garcia on the back of the neck with a few elbowsmashes, then nails him with a kick to the groin as he begins to straighten up. Tony Garcia doubles over again, and Gabriel Black hooks his head... DDT!! But he's not going for the pin; he's going up to the top turnbuckle, moving a little slowly and favoring his back, as Tony Garcia slowly begins to get up... DESTINY HAMMER!! That could do it!! Gabriel Black just knocked Tony Garcia off his feet with the Destiny Hammer, and he covers him and hooks the leg! Brendan Powers counts... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Lorenzo Vasquez makes the save, dropping an elbow across Gabriel's back!!

Gabriel Black rolls off of Tony Garcia, clutching his back in pain, and Tony Garcia rolls over, reaches out, and tags in Lorenzo Vasquez. Lorenzo Vasquez enters the ring and immediately begins dropping knees repeatedly on Gabriel's back, continuing to soften it up. Lorenzo Vasquez pulls Gabriel Black up and puts him in the corner, then begins drilling him with a series of stiff chest chops, getting a "WHOOOO" from the crowd each time. Lorenzo Vasquez stops to yell "FLAIR SUCKS!" at the crowd, then takes Gabriel Black down with a snap mare out of the corner. But now he's picking him up, and putting him back in the corner... and he gives him a blatant kick to the groin!! Brendan Powers begins lecturing Lorenzo Vasquez after that, but Lorenzo Vasquez pays no mind, putting Gabriel Black up on the top turnbuckle, then climbing up after him. He hooks him at the top... SUPERPLEX!! That could do it!! But Lorenzo Vasquez isn't going for the cover... he reaches out and tags in Tony Garcia again!!

Tony Garcia enters the ring, standing over the fallen, writhing form of Gabriel Black... then picks him up and gives him a backbreaker. Gabriel Black's laid out on the mat, and Tony Garcia's going out to the apron... and he's climbing to the top turnbuckle!? Tony Garcia's going upstairs!! He almost never does this!! Tony Garcia's up on the top turnbuckle... this is a huge high-risk move for a man his size, an all-or-nothing gamble... and he comes off the top!! FLYING BODYPRESS!! That was unbelievable!! Tony Garcia just squashed Gabriel Black flatter than a pancake under a three hundred and thirty pound flying bodypress!! Brendan Powers goes down to count, and this one is OVER... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Tony Garcia pulled him up at two and three-quarters!! What the hell's he thinking!? With all due respect to Tony Garcia's size, power, and years of experience, what kind of IDIOT has Gabriel Black beat, then pulls him up at the last second of the count!?!?

Uh-oh... I think I know what he was thinking. Tony Garcia didn't want to beat Gabriel Black via pinfall... he wants a submission!! He's signalling for the Torture Rack!! He picks Gabriel Black up across his shoulders... and he's racking him!! Gabriel Black is squirming and thrashing as he cries out in pain!! The Torture Rack is probably the most devestating submission in all of VCW, and Gabriel Black's wounded back can't take very much of this... but he squirms, and slips out behind!! Tony Garcia turns around... right into a dropkick that takes him off his feet!! Both men get up, a little slowly... and Tony Garcia whips Gabriel Black into the ropes... no, Gabriel Black reverses!! Tony Garcia comes off the ropes, and Gabriel Black nails him with a kick to the midsection, then a DDT!! Both men are down!!

Gabriel Black gets up first, favoring his back heavily. He's bleeding, battered, and weary... hell, he's been in the ring for the entire course of this match! He needs to make a tag... but it looks like his pride and anger are still getting in the way, as he goes over to Tony Garcia with a clenched fist. This could be bad... if he can't put Tony Garcia away right now, I don't think he has the strength left for another comeback on his own! He stands over Tony Garcia's fallen form... but he stops! He slowly looks over to the corner where Troy is, and the crowd erupts in cheers!! Do it!! Tag him in!! Pride and vengance can wait until later... right now, get Troy in there and win this match!! Gabriel Black seems to be visibly shaking off the haze of rage and fury surrounding him... and he reaches out with one hand... HE MADE THE TAG!!

Here comes Troy Black!! The crowd is on its feet... TROY KICKS GABRIEL BLACK IN THE MIDSECTION!!! WHAT THE HELL!?!? DOUBLE ARM DDT!!! Troy goes over to the turnbuckle, and quickly mounts it... BLACK DAGGER ON GABRIEL!! WHAT IN THE HELL IS THIS!?!? Troy Black slaps Gabriel Black's hand again and steps out on the apron... he just tagged himself out, I guess! Is that legal!? Tony Garcia gets up and covers the fallen body of Gabriel Black, and Brendan Powers goes for the count... what the hell is this... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THREE!!

Tony Garcia and Lorenzo Vasquez defeated Troy Black and Gabriel Black when Garcia defeated G. Black via pinfall in 0:19:40.
Rating: ** 1/2

Tony Garcia and Lorenzo Vasquez won this damn thing... but what's up with Troy!? He's getting back in the ring, as Tony Garcia gets up... and they smile and embrace each other!! The crowd response goes from confused silence to a huge round of boos, which only gets louder as Troy Black embraces Lorenzo Vasquez, then grabs Rebecca Black and embraces her as well, and kisses her on the lips! What the hell is this all about!?!? Why is this happening, damn it!? Troy Black goes up to the top turnbuckle, and comes off to nail Gabriel Black with a second Black Dagger... and he's going up again... and he drills him with a THIRD Black Dagger!! Troy Black's grabbing a microphone, and the crowd's booing loudly, tossing trash down at the ring, as he prepares to speak.

T. Black: The third and final act of this war has unfolded before your eyes. The rest will be a slaughter. Come forth and aid us in picking these bones clean.

Who's he talking to!? What's he talking about!? Wait, someone's coming out of the backstage area... it's Brujah Justicar and Desmond LaRouche!! How are they involved in all this!? They run to the ring, and Desmond LaRouche picks up Gabriel Black... and he nails him with the Outcast, his Ace Crusher!! Brujah Justicar pulls Gabriel Black up off of the mat and puts him in a standing headscissors, then drives him into the mat with a HUGE power bomb!! He's beaten some pretty big men with that power bomb, and it's taking its toll on Gabriel Black's injured back!! Now Tony Garcia has his wooden axe handle, and he drills Gabriel Black in the back with it repeatedly. Now he's picking him up, and putting him in the Torture Rack!! Gabriel Black's in the Torture Rack now, after all of the punishment he's already taken... this is going to seriously injure him!! But I think that's the idea...

Finally, the H.A.R.P. Squad comes running out and surrounds the ring... but they may be too little, and too late! They're hesitant to enter the ring, and it's hard to blame them... some of the most dangerous men in the world are in that ring, and one of the most dangerous women as well!! As it turns out, that won't be needed, though... Tony Garcia just lets Gabriel Black drop to the mat like a dead fish, and a medical team quickly pulls him out of the ring and places him on a stretcher, then begins carrying him backstage. Troy Black goes out to stand on the apron, and stares at some of the H.A.R.P. Squad members surrounding the ring... and they're backing up!! They're parting in front of Troy Black, and now he's leaving the ring, followed by Tony Garcia, Lorenzo Vasquez, Brujah, Desmond, and Rebecca Black!! But we still don't know what the meaning of all this was. Why did Troy Black do this!? Why is he now apparently aligned with the people who once sought to end his career, if not his life!? What the hell's wrong with that son of a bitch!?!?

They're heading backstage, and it doesn't look like we're getting any answers right now. The arena is filled with a shocked silence, as everybody absorbs what just happened. After several stunned moments, VCW ring announcer David Page enters the ring. The show must go on, I guess... even David Page looks a little shocked by what we've just seen, but we still have a main event title match tonight. It's going to be hard, but we have to look past what we've just seen... because the biggest match of the year is coming up next. David Page raises the microphone to speak; he'll be doing the main event ring introductions, because Skip Bizby's still not willing to come back after taking a Chokeslam from Crimson at Deck the Halls.

D. Page: Ladies and gentlemen, now is time for the main event of the evening. The following contest is set for one fall, with a sixty minute time limit, and it is for the VCW World Title. Your referee for this match is Bobcat McGavin!!

Bobcat McGavin stands in the middle of the ring, awaiting the participants in the match. "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath kicks on, and David Wright Hubbard steps out of the backstage area, to a good-sized, but mixed reaction from the crowd, getting more somewhat cheers than boos, and wearing a kneebrace on his right knee.

D. Page: Introducing first, the challenger. From Austin, Texas... he stands six feet five inches tall, and weighs two hundred and seventy-three pounds... the winner of the Survival of the Fittest Tournament in 2000, one-half of the Wrestlewar main event... DAAAAAVID WRIGHT HUUUUUBARRRRRRRD!!!

David Wright Hubbard comes to the ring, with a look of cool focus on his face tonight. This is unquestionably the biggest match of his career... can he make good on it!? The crowd's not solidly behind him, but he's getting perhaps seventy percent cheers, which get louder as he goes to one of the second turnbuckles and poses on it, raising his arms high in the air and bellowing out to the crowd. He turns to face the backstage entrance, awaiting his opponent, the other half of the biggest match in his career.

D. Page: And his opponent...

"Walk" by Pantera begins blaring over the arena sound system, and here he comes. Crimson, the VCW World Champion, steps out of the backstage area, wearing the VCW World Title and directing a murderous stare down the aisle at David Wright Hubbard. The crowd explodes into a huge round of boos, second only to those recieved by Julian Page and Troy Black in terms of intensity.

D. Page: He hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and he stands six feet and nine inches tall, and weighs in at three hundred pounds. He is the other half of the Wrestlewar main event... he is the reigning and defending VCW Champion of the WOOOORRRRLLLD... CRIIIMMMMMMSONNNNNN!!!

Crimson walks slowly to the ring, never taking his eyes off of David Wright Hubbard. He's built an image as an indestructable monster, but make no mistake... he knows this is a big match, and he knows David Wright Hubbard is a tough opponent, fully capable of walking out of here tonight with the title. There's hatred practically glowing in Crimson's eyes as he stares at David Wright Hubbard... but there's also respect. He enters the ring, and David Wright Hubbard starts to advance on him, but Crimson holds up a hand, indicating for him to stop. David Wright Hubbard stops and stares at him, not knowing what Crimson's up to... and Crimson grabs a microphone.

Crimson: Hold on just a second. I'm gonna take over and do a little ring introduction of my own... because I've got company tonight. I've got a special guest tonight. He's a man I respect, a man who ain't afraid to tell it like it is, and a man who's gonna stand in my corner tonight and watch me beat the hell out of David Wright Hubbard's punk cowboy ass. All you people... stand up, put your little hands together, and show a little respect for one of my favorite ball players... the man who's got my back tonight... JOHN ROCKER!!

WHAT!?!? The crowd bursts into deafening boos as "Walk" by Pantera begins playing over the arena sound system, and John Rocker steps out of the backstage area, carrying a baseball bat that he appears to have autographed. He walks to the ring, with the crowd booing him all the way. He comes to the ring and hands Crimson the autographed baseball bat, and Crimson raises it high above his head as the crowd boos, then sets it on the apron. Crimson exchanges a high five with John Rocker, then turns his attention back to the ring, where David Wright Hubbard is still standing, staring a hole through him, as if he didn't even notice John Rocker's entrance. Bobcat McGavin calls for the bell... and Crimson motions for David Wright Hubbard to bring it on!! David Wright Hubbard charges, and this match is on!!

For the VCW World Title:

Crimson (c)
w/John Rocker

vs.

David Wright Hubbard

David Wright Hubbard charges Crimson and begins clobbering him with a series of massive right hands, driving him back onto the ropes! David Wright Hubbard whips Crimson into the other side... no, Crimson reverses!! David Wright Hubbard comes off the ropes, and Crimson goes for a clothesline... but David Wright Hubbard ducks! Crimson turns around, and David Wright Hubbard lashes out with a kick to the midsection... but Crimson catches his foot, and takes him down with a dragon screw leg whip, into a scorpion deathlock!! Crimson actually used a technical wrestling combination!! He sits down on the scorpion deathlock, yelling "ASK HIM!" at Brendan Powers, who goes down to check on David Wright Hubbard, as the crowd boos loudly. This scorpion deathlock has to be inflicting serious pain on David Wright Hubbard's injured knee, and he quickly struggles, dragging himself to the ropes. Brendan Powers orders Crimson to break the hold, but he's not breaking! In his mind, why should he!? As long as he retains his title, Crimson doesn't care about scoring a victory over David Wright Hubbard so much as he cares about giving him an ass-whipping he'll never come back from!!

Finally, as Brendan Powers begins to threaten Crimson with disqualification, he releases the scorpion deathlock. David Wright Hubbard's getting back up, but Crimson stays on the offense, throwing massive right hands to the side of his head. He hooks David Wright Hubbard, then takes him over and down with a massive vertical suplex! Even basic moves like that are dangerous when used by someone with the size and power of Crimson. Crimson casually bounces off the ropes, coming off with an elbowdrop... but David Wright Hubbard rolls out of the way! Crimson's elbowdrop only connects with the mat, and David Wright Hubbard gets back up, then begins drilling Crimson with a series of punches! He whips Crimson into the ropes, then bounces off the other side, limping slightly... and he knocks Crimson off his feet with a football tackle! Crimson's down, and David Wright Hubbard climbs on top of him, then continues pummelling him with big right hands to the head!

David Wright Hubbard pulls Crimson up by the hair and whips him into the turnbuckle. Crimson hits hard back-first in the corner and staggers out... and David Wright Hubbard grabs him again, and whips him to the opposite side! Once again, Crimson staggers out... and David Wright Hubbard drills him with a lariat as he steps out, knocking him off his feet!! The VCW World Champion is down, and David Wright Hubbard goes for the cover! Brendan Powers goes down to count... ONE!! ... Big kickout at one and a half from Crimson!! That massive lariat didn't even keep his shoulders down for two seconds!! David Wright Hubbard gets up and continues hammering Crimson with more punches to the head, but he has to be a little shaken that Crimson shook off the effects of his big lariat so quickly!

David Wright Hubbard whips Crimson into the ropes again... Crimson comes off the other side, and David Wright Hubbard goes for a lariat, but Crimson ducks this one! He bounces off the other side... and FLATTENS David Wright Hubbard with a huge leaping clothesline!! Crimson just went airborne and cut David Wright Hubbard down like a flying buzzsaw with that clothesline! He's pulling out all kinds of new tricks for this match to stay one step ahead of David Wright Hubbard! He pulls him up and whips him into the corner, then charges in with a massive kneelift. David Wright Hubbard slumps in the corner, but Crimson just drills more kneelifts into his gut. David Wright Hubbard staggers out, and Crimson scoops him up, then takes him down with a big bodyslam.

Crimson's starting to take firm control of this match now, and he keeps up the offense, pulling David Wright Hubbard up and clobbering him in the back with a few massive forearms. David Wright Hubbard's doubled over, and Crimson puts him in a standing headscissors... he could be trying for a power bomb!! But no, David Wright Hubbard backdrops him off!! Crimson starts to get up, but David Wright Hubbard turns around and nails him with a massive dropkick, knocking him off his feet! It's a well-known fact that David Wright Hubbard's agile for such a big man, and when he puts his massive strength into a dropkick like that, it can even take Crimson off his feet! Crimson's getting back up again, and David Wright Hubbard whips him into the ropes. Crimson comes off the other side... powerslam!! David Wright Hubbard hooks his leg, and Brendan Powers goes down for the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by Crimson!!

David Wright Hubbard runs into the ropes, still limping a little bit, as Crimson gets up... and Crimson nails him with an elbowsmash to the head when he comes off!! David Wright Hubbard staggers back, slumping against the ropes... and Crimson charges him, knocking him out over the top rope with a massive clothesline!! David Wright Hubbard's outside on the floor, and Crimson runs into the opposite side of the ropes as he gets up. He's not... you have to be kidding me... PLANCHA!! Crimson just dove between the second and third ropes, and nailed David Wright Hubbard with a plancha!! David Wright Hubbard crashes back into the guardrail, and Crimson gets up and starts beating the hell out of him, clobbering him with a series of right hands.

Crimson grabs David Wright Hubbard by the hair, and takes him head-first into the ringpost... then pulls him back and does it again!! David Wright Hubbard slumps to the floor, and Crimson takes a moment to stand over him, surveying his damage. He pulls David Wright Hubbard up, and as he comes up it's clear that his forehead has been busted open. Crimson continues hammering him with right hands, getting his fist bloody, then drags him towards the steel entrance ramp. He hooks him... and takes him down with a vertical suplex on the ramp!! That steel ramp doesn't have a damn bit of give to it, and David Wright Hubbard just crashed down on it back-first!! Crimson crouches over him, raining down a series of right hands on his forehead, then rolls him back into the ring and climbs in after him.

David Wright Hubbard begins pulling himself up off of the mat, and Crimson drills him with another massive forearm, then whips him into the turnbuckle. He comes in with a kneelift, and continues to drill David Wright Hubbard with another series of kneelifts in the corner. David Wright Hubbard staggers out of the corner, doubled over, and Crimson hooks him around the waist, then takes him down with a big gutwrench suplex!! Crimson gets up and casually bounces off the ropes, then drops a big leg on David Wright Hubbard! He hooks the leg and goes for the pin, and Brendan Powers is down to make the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two by David Wright Hubbard! He still has a lot left as well, and he's holding up pretty well under Crimson's high-impact offense so far!

Crimson pulls David Wright Hubbard up and drills him with a few more right hands... and he grabs him by the throat!! He's looking to hit the Chokeslam out of nowhere... but David Wright Hubbard blocks it with a kick to the groin!! Crimson doubles over and releases David Wright Hubbard, and David Wright Hubbard nails him with a kneelift to the face with his good knee, taking Crimson down! Crimson starts to get up... and David Wright Hubbard whips him into the turnbuckle, then charges in with a jumping avalanche! Crimson slumps in the corner, and David Wright Hubbard climbs up on top of him and begins raining down punches! The pro-David Wright Hubbard portion of the crowd counts along, as David Wright Hubbard drills Crimson with ten massive right hands!! David Wright Hubbard steps down, and Crimson staggers out, looking wobbly... and David Wright Hubbard whips him into the ropes! Crimson comes off the other side... and David Wright Hubbard nails him in the jaw with a massive boot!! Crimson's down!!

Crimson slowly begins to pull himself up... and David Wright Hubbard drills him with a kick to the gut, then puts him in a standing headscissors. He lifts him up... POWER BOMB!! David Wright Hubbard just power bombed Crimson!! He goes for the cover, and Brendan Powers goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two!! Crimson wasn't even close to staying down after that, and the power bomb is one of David Wright Hubbard's biggest moves!! What does it take to put Crimson away!? David Wright Hubbard pulls Crimson up, and places him on the top turnbuckle. He's climbing up with him, and he hooks him on top... SUPERPLEX!! Nobody has ever been able to toss Crimson around like this! David Wright Hubbard goes for the pin, and Brendan Powers makes the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... Kickout at two again!! Crimson just isn't wanting to stay down!!

David Wright Hubbard rolls out of the ring, and reaches under the ring... he's got a table! He sets the table up perpendicular to the ring apron, then climbs back inside. Crimson's starting to get up, but David Wright Hubbard grabs him and hooks his head, then takes him down with a DDT!! He rolls Crimson's body out to the apron near the table, then starts to climb the top turnbuckle to the side. We've seen this before... it's another of David Wright Hubbard's big moves! Crimson gets to his feet... and David Wright Hubbard comes off the top with the Flying Cross Bodypress!! BUT CRIMSON DROPS DOWN!! David Wright Hubbard sails over Crimson, and crashes through the table!! Crimson had scouted the Flying Cross Bodypress through the table, and he knew to avoid it!!

Crimson gets up and begins asking Brendan Powers some kind of question, still standing on the apron... and David Wright Hubbard's getting up behind him!! But John Rocker's creeping up, with the baseball bat in hand... and John Rocker nails David Wright Hubbard in the back of the knee with the bat!! Brendan Powers didn't see a thing... he was distracted by Crimson!! Now Crimson's dismounting from the ring apron, heading towards David Wright Hubbard, who's down in the wreckage of the table, clutching at his knee. Crimson pulls him up and drills him with a few punches to the head, then presses him over his head!! Crimson has David Wright Hubbard up in a Gorilla Press... and he drops him throat-first across the guardrail!! David Wright Hubbard goes down in a convulsing, bleeding heap, but Crimson's still not done... he pulls him up again, and rams him head-first into the announcers' table, leaving a bloody spot on the table!! Now he grabs him by the throat... what's he going to do!? No, not here... CHOKESLAM THROUGH THE ANNOUNCERS' TABLE!!!

David Wright Hubbard is laid out in the wreckage of the announcers' table, and Crimson takes a moment to just stand over him, smiling, as the crowd boos loudly. Crimson slowly pulls David Wright Hubbard up, then carelessly tosses him back into the ring and climbs in after him. He crawls across him, making a lackadaisical cover, as Brendan Powers goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Shoulder up at two and three-quarters!! If Crimson had taken that cover a little more seriously, he might have had him!! Crimson's looking a little frustrated as he gets up... he would have liked to end it there! But now he's grabbing David Wright Hubbard's legs... he rips off the kneebrace and tosses it into the crowd... and now what's he doing!? He's putting on a figure-four leglock!! Crimson's putting David Wright Hubbard in a figure-four leglock, taking advantage of his wounded knee!! Crimson hasn't been known as much of a technical wrestler, but we're seeing some new things from him tonight!!

David Wright Hubbard struggles, trying to make his way to the ropes, but he's pretty far away. He begins pulling himself towards the ropes, dragging Crimson with him... and Crimson pulls him back the other way!! Crimson's not letting him get to the ropes... he wants to severely damage David Wright Hubbard's knee, and if possible force him to submit right here, in the biggest match of his career! And with David Wright Hubbard's knee injury problems, and John Rocker's baseball bat shot to the knee earlier, it's not unthinkable that this could be the move that destroys David Wright Hubbard's knee! But now he's starting to turn it over... Crimson's fighting to keep it turned the other way, but David Wright Hubbard's slowly turning it regardless... his face is straining with pain and effort... but he makes it!! David Wright Hubbard turned the figure-four leglock over, and now Crimson grabs the ropes and releases the hold!!

Crimson's getting up, but so's David Wright Hubbard, a little slower due to his wounded knee. Crimson grabs him by the throat... but David Wright Hubbard catches Crimson with a massive right hand to the side of the head! Crimson releases his throat... and now David Wright Hubbard has Crimson by the throat... CHOKESLAM!! David Wright Hubbard just drilled Crimson with a chokeslam of his own, and now he's making the cover, hooking a leg!! Brendan Powers goes down to count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Kickout at two and three-quarters!! David Wright Hubbard's going up to the top turnbuckle, looking for the Flying Cross Bodypress... but John Rocker comes up and pushes him off from behind, unseen by Brendan Powers!

David Wright Hubbard wipes out on the mat, then gets up slowly, turns around and begins threatening John Rocker... but Crimson's up behind him! Crimson grabs David Wright Hubbard from behind and puts on a full nelson, then hoists him up... and drills him into the mat with a full nelson slam!! David Wright Hubbard is down on the mat, and Crimson's stepping out to the apron!? He's heading to the top turnbuckle!! What the hell is Crimson doing!! Crimson's up on the top turnbuckle, and David Wright Hubbard's getting up... FLYING CROSS BODYPRESS!! Crimson just wiped David Wright Hubbard out with his own finishing move, paying him back for the earlier chokeslam!! He hooks the leg and goes for the cover, and Brendan Powers goes down to make the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Shoulder up at two and three-quarters!!

Crimson pulls David Wright Hubbard to his feet, and whips him into the ropes... then nearly takes his head off with a big boot to the head!! David Wright Hubbard goes down, and Crimson pulls him up into a standing headscissors and hooks him around the waist... POWER BOMB!! Crimson just deflated David Wright Hubbard with that power bomb!! And now he's signalling for the Chokeslam... and he pulls David Wright Hubbard up!! He grabs him by the throat and lifts... and David Wright Hubbard shifts his weight, hooking an arm around Crimson's head, and brings him down with a DDT!! David Wright Hubbard just countered the Chokeslam with a DDT!! I don't think that's ever been done before, but now both men are down!

Crimson begins getting up, holding his head... and David Wright Hubbard's up as well! Crimson goes for a punch, but David Wright Hubbard blocks it!! David Wright Hubbard drills Crimson with a series of punches, then whips him into the ropes. Crimson comes off the other side... and David Wright Hubbard cuts him down with a big lariat!! He pulls Crimson up, and puts him in a standing headscissors... but this time he's hooking his arms!! TIGER DRIVER!! David Wright Hubbard just gave Crimson a tiger driver, and he's holding him for the pin... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THR... Shoulder up at two and three-quarters!! David Wright Hubbard gets up, and puts Crimson in another standing headscissors. He's holding his arms out to the side like Scott Hall... and he muscles Crimson up, into position for a crucifix power bomb!! Hobbling on his bad knee, he takes a running start... RUNNING CRUCIFIX POWER BOMB!!

That could have done it... Crimson is laid out on the mat!! David Wright Hubbard begins to go for the cover... but John Rocker climbs into the ring!! John Rocker takes a swing at David Wright Hubbard's with the baseball bat... but David Wright Hubbard ducks!! David Wright Hubbard nails John Rocker with a kick to the midsection, causing him to drop the baseball bat, then puts him in a standing headscissors... POWER BOMB!! The crowd erupts in cheers, and David Wright Hubbard grabs John Rocker by the back of his shirt, then tosses him out of the ring. David Wright Hubbard just whipped John Rocker's ass... but Crimson's up, and he runs over David Wright Hubbard with a massive lariat when he turns around!! David Wright Hubbard begins to get up, but Crimson grabs his throat... CHOKESLAM!! He finally hit it!! Crimson goes for the cover, hooking David Wright Hubbard's leg... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THRE... SHOULDER UP!! David Wright Hubbard somehow got a shoulder up at the last second!!

Crimson stares down at David Wright Hubbard in disbelief, not believing that somehow, the Chokeslam didn't get the job done... and his disbelief slowly turns to rage. The camera catches him growling, "You're dead now, motherfucker..." to David Wright Hubbard... and he puts him on the top turnbuckle!! He's climbing up with him now... and he puts a hand around David Wright Hubbard's throat!! He's going to turn and Chokeslam him off the top turnbuckle!! But David Wright Hubbard nails him with a low blow!! Crimson doubles over... and David Wright Hubbard hooks him around the midsection and lifts... TOP-ROPE SITOUT POWER BOMB!! David Wright Hubbard just drove the air right out of Crimson, and he rolls across for the cover... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THRE... NO!! Crimson got a shoulder up at the last possible fraction of a second!!

But David Wright Hubbard has one more trick left up his sleeve... he's going back to the top turnbuckle!! His knee injury's slowing him down a little... but he's getting there!! Crimson starts to pull himself up... but David Wright Hubbard's up on the top turnbuckle as he stands!! He comes off the top... FLYING CROSS BODYPRESS!! Crimson goes down in a heap!! David Wright Hubbard hooks the leg, and Brendan Powers makes the count... ONE!! ... TWO!! ... THREE!! DAVID WRIGHT HUBBARD WINS!! NEW CHAMPION!! WE HAVE A NEW VCW WORLD CHAMPION!!!

David Wright Hubbard pinned Crimson with the Flying Cross Bodypress in 0:26:37.
Rating: * 1/2
(David Wright Hubbard won the VCW World Title.)

He did it!! Crimson kicks out about half a second too late, and David Wright Hubbard just won this match! Despite his knee injury, despite Crimson's reign of terror, despite the people who said he wouldn't cut it in the main event of Wrestlewar, David Wright Hubbard just won the VCW World Title!! The crowd's reaction is mostly cheers, with a few boos as well, as David Wright Hubbard is handed the VCW World Title. He straps it on around his waist... and Crimson's getting up. This could get ugly... Crimson's staring at David Wright Hubbard with a look of pure malice in his eyes. He points at David Wright Hubbard and says something that the cameras don't pick up, and David Wright Hubbard says something in response, pointing to the VCW World Title around his waist. Crimson simply rolls out of the ring and begins heading backstage, still keeping his eyes focused on David Wright Hubbard in the ring as he backs up towards the backstage entrance, with John Rocker standing at his side, pointing into the ring and yelling threats at David Wright Hubbard.

Back in the ring, David Wright Hubbard takes the title off, and limps to each of the four corners, climbing to the second turnbuckle of each one and posing with the VCW World Title raised high above his head!! The crowd gives him a loud reaction, not entirely cheers, but mostly cheers. Despite the detractors and naysayers, the proof of the matter is right here in the middle of the ring! David Wright Hubbard killed the monster, he derailed the Homicide Road Tour, and he's the new VCW World Champion!! And we're out of time!! See you tomorrow night on VCW Monday Night Wrestling!!
