VCW Profiles
The Wrestlers:
| Name: Bass Rogers | Height: 5'10" | Weight: 329 | Date of Birth: May 23, 1965 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "War Machine", KISS | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Pheonix, Arizona | Tag Teams: Stiff Competition (w/Dean Sanders), Tough Customers (w/Darren Michaels) | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW Television Title, VCW World Tag Team Titles (w/Darren Michaels) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Bass Rogers has a bulky, muscular, pale-skinned overweight body much like Scott Norton's, and a scarred, battered face that would frighten a bulldog. He has a thick head of gaudy, flaming red hair that poofs out from his head like Einstein's, and a long, wild hillbilly-like red beard. He dresses in a plain black singlet with matching black boots. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Bass Rogers has little in the way of technical ability. He just hits people really, really hard and throws them down on their backs really, really hard. He sits back and absorbs the best his opponents have to offer, then clobbers them with simple, but devestating offense. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Bass Rogers is known for having some of the roughest punches in VCW. His powerslam, power bomb, and lariat are also widely feared. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Bass Rogers usually finishes his matches with a massive Moonsault off the top turnbuckle onto a prone opponent. Opponents who fail to avoid this move seldom, if ever, kick out. But lately, he's been limiting the use of the moonsault to avoid the wear and tear on his body. Often, a power bomb or lariat will be enough to finish the match for him. | |||||||||
| Name: Bobby Danson | Height: 6' | Weight: 253 | Date of Birth: December 20, 1976 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Riders On The Storm", Creed | Managers/Valets: Nicole | |||||||||
| From: St. Paul, Minnesota | Tag Teams: New Immortals (w/Moy Lazzario) | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Tag Team Titles (2) (w/Ken Collins x2) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Bobby Danson is a pretty-boy by nature; he has an impressive physique, and he likes to show it off to the crowd. His hair is brown and short, and always carefully styled. Bobby also has a million-dollar smile that he's constantly flashing to the crowd; he's a ham who loves to be in front of the camera, and it shows. He wears a pair of midnight blue tights with the stars of the night sky on them. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Bobby Danson is a powerful wrestler who is still skilled in many other areas, much like a young Davey Boy Smith or Scott Steiner. His wrestling skill is strong in all areas; he can do many high-flying moves, he has a decent amount of technical wrestling skill, and he has the power and stamina to brawl successfully as well. Unfortunately, his career is in a bit of a slump lately because he has started to clown around too much for his own good. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Bobby Danson will often goof off during his matches, but he's primarily known for his teamwork moves with Moy Lazzario in the New Immortals. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Bobby Danson's finishers are the Running Powerslam and a flying legdrop that he calls the Minnesota Jam. | |||||||||
| Name: Brian Rivera | Height: 6' | Weight: 228 | Date of Birth: October 7, 1976 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "What U Lookin' At?", Uncle Kracker | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Chicago, Illinois | Tag Teams: w/Marylin Silvera | |||||||||
| Titles Held: none | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Brian Rivera's choice in clothing defies description. The outfits that he wears to the ring are often a mishmash of completely incompatible styles, as if he can't decide whether he wants to be an inner-city pimp, a gangster, a cast member of the Beverly Hillbillies, a grunge musician, a lumberjack, a swashbuckler, or the guy on the Monopoly box. A few things tend to remain constant about his dress, however; purple Nike high-tops, a rope worn in his pants instead of a belt, and lots of cheap, gaudy jewelry. His hair is dark brown and worn in a ponytail, and he wears his facial hair in a matching goatee. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Brian Rivera is a brawler who is competent in most other areas of wrestling as well. He's adaptable enough to be at least somewhat effective against opponents of all types and sizes. He's a decent technician and high-flyer as well, and if that fails, he likes to cheat by bringing a foreign object into the match. But sometimes, he does a bit too much showboating or clowning, and just has he has no major weaknesses, he has no shining strengths. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Brian Rivera, despite the fact that he no longer uses the disasterous "Kid Rave" gimmick, will relapse from time to time by throwing a set of punches with some stupid jiggy dance between blows, or by yelling "I'M GOING PLATINUM!!" before hitting his flying legdrop. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Brian Rivera's main finishing move these days is the Bitch Slap, also known as the Tomikaze or the Kidcrusher. It's the same move often used by Billy Kidman and Christian. He's also been known to finish a match with a flying legdrop. | |||||||||
| Name: Brujah | Height: 6' | Weight: 217 | Date of Birth: December 13, 1978 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Woke Up This Morning (Chosen One Mix)", Alabama Three | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Pheonix, Arizona | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW Television Title, VCW World Tag Team Titles (w/Troy Black), SMCW World Tag Team Titles | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Brujah has dark, curly hair, green eyes and somewhat pale skin. He always wears a leather jacket, "Slayer" T-Shirt, blue jeans and heavy work boots in and out of the ring. Although he's not a very tall or bulky man, he has good muscle definition, and looks to be quite strong for his size. Brujah has a wolf baying at the moon tattooed on his right shoulder. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Brujah's wrestling style is simple: he picks a body part, usually the opponent's back, and spends the entire match working over that part. However, Brujah isn't much of a technical wrestler, and his strategies for wearing down a body part are limited to stomping on it and twisting it as hard as he can. Although Brujah's attacks are very basic, his relentless persistence and deceptive strength makes them rather effective. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Brujah is known for his deadly lariat and Yakuza kick, two moves which he uses to beat opponents into oblivion. When he uses his swandive headbutt, it's also common to see him set it up with a double arm DDT. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Brujah's primary finisher is a brutally stiff Power Bomb. He's freakishly strong for a man of his small stature, and is capable of executing the move on men much larger than himself. He also uses a swandive headbutt in homage to the legendary "Superstar" Sean Black. | |||||||||
| Name: Butch Manson | Height: 6'4" | Weight: 254 | Date of Birth: July 27, 1969 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Highway To Hell", AC/DC | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Jackson, Mississippi | Tag Teams: w/Jack Norman | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Tag Team Titles (w/Jack Norman) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Butch Manson is a large, powerful man with shaggy black hair and a matching scruffy beard. He dresses in tattered street clothes, usually a leather or denim jacket and black jeans, with a T-shirt bearing the logo of a motorcycle company or tattoo parlor. His body is tanned and muscular, and one look at his face will tell you that he's a mean, grizzled biker. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Butch Manson is a vicious brawler. He likes to dominate his opponents with power moves, but even more than that, he likes to beat the tar out of them with his fists and tear at their face and eyes. Once in a while, he likes to get flashy with a move from the top rope, but for the most part he just beats people up. He loves to use weapons if he can do so without getting disqualified, and sometimes he doesn't even let that stop him. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | After making one of his opponents start to bleed, Butch Manson is fond of ripping and clawing at the wound to aggravate it and spill even more blood. He also likes to attempt a moonsault on his opponents, despite seldom ever connecting with it. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Butch Manson has been known to use the Flying Legdrop to finish his matches, but in practice that doesn't often occur; typically, the opponent will be finished by Jack Norman's devestating Chokeslam or some high-impact brawling instead. | |||||||||
| Name: Chris Champlain | Height: 6' | Weight: 224 | Date of Birth: June 22, 1976 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Stormbringer", Deep Purple | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: London, England | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Tag Team Titles (w/Dean Sanders), VCW Television Title (2) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Chris Champlain is a lean, athletic man who looks vaguely handsome, if somewhat demented. He comes to the ring shirtless, wearing a pair of black dress slacks, which typically end up ruined after the average Chris Champlain match. His blond hair is tied back in a loose ponytail, but it usually comes undone in one of his violent matches. His blue eyes have a look of spontaniety and madness to them, which is only amplified by the demented grin that crosses his face all too often. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Chris Champlain likes to use high-risk moves and brawling moves, hitting his opponent with his body and any weapons he can get his hands on. He's fond of using tables and chairs, and numerous other foreign objects, including some deadly ones like an iron mace or hunting knife. He seems to care very little about keeping his body safe or even winning the match, and more about doing damage to his opponent. He's not a sadist in the traditional pain-loving sense of the word; he enjoys causing glorious destruction rather than simple pain. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Aside from his well-documented affinity for violence of all kinds, Chris Champlain has no real distinctive spots. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Chris Champlain finishes his matches with a Split-Legged Moonsault. Lately, he's grown very fond of using the Texas Cloverleaf as well. | |||||||||
| Name: Christina Ellis | Height: 5'8" | Weight: 138 | Date of Birth: December 1, 1974 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Star Cycle", Jeff Beck | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada | Tag Teams: w/The Pink Kitten | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW T & A Title, SJW World Tag Team Titles (w/The Pink Kitten) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Christina Ellis is an attractive woman with finely-toned muscles who carries herself with readiness and balance even when not in the ring. Wavy, mid-shoulder length blond hair frames her young-looking, but cynical face which is usually set in a look of determination during a match, or disgust at something that has displeased or offended her. She usually wears a blue singlet when wrestling, or a T-shirt and blue jeans outside of the ring. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Christina Ellis is a skilled technical wrestler, perhaps the most talented female wrestler in VCW. Especially when facing a larger opponent, she'll also use some high-flying moves, but the bulk of her offense consists of wearing her opponents down and suplexing them into oblivion. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Christina Ellis uses quite a few dropkicks and suplexes in her matches; despite being a seven-year-veteran wrestler she still wrestles like a rookie joshi wrestler. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Christina Ellis's finishing move is the Dragon Suplex. When desperate, she's also known to unleash a devestating Ocean Cyclone Suplex on her opponents. | |||||||||
| Name: Crimson | Height: 6'9" | Weight: 298 | Date of Birth: March 6, 1975 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Walk", Pantera | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Atlanta, Georgia | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Title (3) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Crimson wears black denim pants, along with a leather jacket and some kind of dark-colored T-shirt. Otherwise, he looks somewhat like a younger Undertaker; he has long dark-red hair and pale skin, and wears a full red beard. His muscular arms are covered with tattoos that can be seen when he takes off his jacket as wrestler. He's not quite as massive as some big men, but if anything he looks more streamlined and dangerous. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Crimson is a powerhouse brawler, with little or no finesse to his fighting style. He has shown the ability to actually wrestle on occasion, but he rarely ever uses it, and he very seldom takes to the air. His fighting style ends up involving three kinds of attacks: hitting his opponent really hard, throwing his opponent down on the ground or a table really hard, or hitting his opponent with a weapon really hard. The fact that he makes no pretense of wrestling skill and has no apparent desire to learn doesn't seem to have hampered his ability to win matches. Very few wrestlers have been able to stand against the sheer power of Crimson | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Crimson is fond of using the gutwrench suplex, kicking his opponents in the head with a big boot, and hitting them with a power bomb. A typical Crimson match includes all or most of these elements at some point. In addition, when an opponent is small enough he likes to pick them up in a full nelson and shake them like a rag doll before hitting a devestating full nelson slam. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Crimson finishes his opponents with a massive Chokeslam. Technically, his power bomb might be called a finisher, because it probably knocks his opponents out as well, but it never gets the pin for him because he always picks them up and Chokeslams them anyway afterwards. | |||||||||
| Name: Darren Michaels | Height: 6'2" | Weight: 255 | Date of Birth: November 12, 1975 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Bawitdaba", Kid Rock | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Rantoul, Illinois | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Tag Team Titles (w/Bass Rogers) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Darren Michaels is a large, handsome young man, with shoulder-length black hair, a muscled, tanned physique, and a good-natured smile. He comes to the ring in his football jersey from the University of Illinois, then pulls it off and wrestles in a pair of blue trunks with orange kneepads. His boots are blue with orange trim. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Darren Michaels is still an inexperienced wrestler, but he has a lot of power and athleticism, and he uses that to his advantage. Though he's naive and not terribly versed in the art of mat wrestling, his raw natural ability and enthusiasm make him a force to contend with. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Darren Michaels likes to take his opponents down with football tackles, and use charging clotheslines from a three-point stance. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Darren Michaels's finishing move is a flying spear-tackle from the top turnbuckle, which he calls the Long Bomb. He also makes use of a devestating power bomb in his matches. | |||||||||
| Name: Dave Adams | Height: 6' | Weight: 216 | Date of Birth: November 29, 1978 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Calling Dr. Love", KISS | Managers/Valets: Nurse Vivacia | |||||||||
| From: Portland, Oregon | Tag Teams: Jolly Rogers (w/Tom Guycot) | |||||||||
| Titles Held: none | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Dave Adams wears black wrestling tights with a white skull on the rear and kneepads. He also wears a black pirate captain's hat with a white skull and crossbones on the front. While he's not by any means in poor physical shape, his body is slender and his muscles aren't well-defined, attesting to his emphasis on brawling and basic wrestling rather than power and athleticism. His hair is light brown, shoulder-length, and somewhat curly and unkempt, while his face seems to be perpetually in a crass smirk or goofy grin. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Dave Adams wrestles in somewhat of an old-fashioned style, despite the fact that he came from a background that emphasises more of the new aspects of wrestling and brawling. He tends to use old-fashioned moves, styles, and techniques; he wouldn't be out of his element at all wrestling ten years ago. At the same time, he is able to keep up with the more modern wrestlers; he uses what works, and can brawl competently enough to compete in a hardcore wrestling environment. He's somewhat lacking in terms of his wrestling arsenal and timing, but in general what he uses is effective enough. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Dave Adams doesn't really have any key spots that he typically uses at the moment. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Dave Adams sometimes uses the DDT or a brain buster he refers to as the Treatment to win matches, though his new finishing move is now a Death Penalty-like move called the Doctor's Orders. | |||||||||
| Name: David Wright Hubbard | Height: 6'5" | Weight: 273 | Date of Birth: March 7, 1971 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "War Pigs", Black Sabbath | Managers/Valets: Michelle Hubbard | |||||||||
| From: Austin, Texas | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Title, VCW Intercontinental Title (2) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | David Wright Hubbard is clean-shaven, with long, light-blond hair that he keeps tied back in a ponytail. He wears a simple pair of plain black trunks and plain black boots into the ring. His face is almost always set in a menacing glare or a determined grimace, and when he does smile, it's usually a mean-spirited smirk. He's tall, with a lot of muscle, but still somewhat leaner than a lot of musclebound monsters who have competed as big men in wrestling. These days, he also wears a large kneebrace on his right knee and walks with a noticable limp. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | David Wright Hubbard is a pretty well-rounded wrestler; his size, power, and utterly ruthless demeanor allow him to maul smaller opponents with hardcore wrestling and power moves, but that is far from his only major in-ring strength; he has an excellent command basic wrestling moves, and is able to perform some of the simpler high-flying moves as well. Lately he has taken to taking more cheap shots and shortcuts in his matches. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | David Wright Hubbard is known for kicking people in the head, power bombing them, and hitting them with lariats frequently. He loves to do moves through tables, too. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | David Wright Hubbard's primary finisher is the Flying Cross Bodypress, but it's not uncommon to see him win a match with a power bomb or some variation of a power bomb. | |||||||||
| Name: Dean Sanders | Height: 5'10" | Weight: 213 | Date of Birth: November 3, 1970 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Moneytalks", AC/DC | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: London, England | Tag Teams: Stiff Competition (w/Bass Rogers) | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Tag Team Titles (w/Chris Champlain) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Dean Sanders dresses in the old-fashioned, basic wrestler style; he wears red, green, or black trunks that have his initials, "DS" in white stitching on a corner of the front, with boots and kneepads of a color to match his trunks. His hair is black, short, and neatly combed; his face is always shaven immaculately clean of stubble, and seldom shows any emotion beyond a snarl of anger or perhaps a satisfied grimace when laying down a particularly good beating on some poor idiot. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Dean Sanders's in-ring strategy now seems to consist primarily of beating the hell out of his opponent, often focusing in on a wounded or exposed body part. He still has the high-flying skills and technical skill needed to perform high-risk moves or tie his opponent up on the mat, but his wrestling style these days is more vicious and angry than he ever was before. The old Dean Sanders would outwrestle his opponent; the new Dean Sanders not only does that, but he chops and kicks them until their chest turns red as well. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Dean Sanders is known for brutal punches, kicks, chops, and jabs. He also throws a mean lariat. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Dean Sanders uses both the Figure-Four Leglock and the Power Bomb to finish matches, and occasionally falls back on his old finishing move, the Flying Elbowdrop, as well. | |||||||||
| Name: Devaccio Pola | Height: 5'11" | Weight: 203 | Date of Birth: July 11, 1975 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Iron Man", Black Sabbath | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Los Angeles, California | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW Television Title | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Devaccio Pola has medium-long black hair, a thin build, and a youthful appearance, with tanned skin. His eyes always have a look of surpressed rage and bloodlust, and it's often shown in his voice as well when he tries to speak calmly in between his frequent outbursts of rage. He wrestles in blue jeans and a T-shirt these days. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Devaccio Pola is arguably the most skilled aerial wrestler in VCW, with a wide arsenal of aerial moves and excellent execution on all of them. His high-flying offense is second to none, and he's a great technical wrestler on top of that. But mostly, he brawls with extreme intensity and aggression, and somehow manages to defeat much larger opponents in brawling-style matches. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Devaccio Pola is known for kicking his opponents in the head, really hard, until they can't get up anymore. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Devaccio Pola's usual finishing move is the Guillotine Kick, but he also makes frequent use of the scorpion deathlock to finish his matches. And then sometimes he'll just knock them out with a simple stiff kick to the head. | |||||||||
| Name: Gabriel Black | Height: 6' | Weight: 237 | Date of Birth: March 29, 1971 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Denial", Sevendust | Managers/Valets: Derek Cole, Jasmina Chastity | |||||||||
| From: Pheonix, Arizona | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Title (2), VCW World Tag Team Titles (w/Tony Garcia), VCW Television Title | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Gabriel Black has curly blond hair that falls to his upper shoulders, and often is bound tightly in a braid or a ponytail. His skin is mildly tanned, in contrast to the pale white skin of his brother Troy or his sister Rebecca. Along with a plain white pair of boots, he wears a singlet which is white with gold and silver trim. His blue eyes have a very knowing, penetrating look to them, and add to the eerieness of his open and warm, yet disconcerting and sinister smile. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Gabriel Black is probably the most perfect wrestler in VCW. A great brawler, a great technician, and a great high-flyer, Gabriel Black can dismantle his opponents in a variety of ways. His favorite tactic is to ruthlessly target the opponent's neck, setting them up for the Destiny Driver. He's arguably the best wrestler in VCW or even in all of North America. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Gabriel Black usually uses a lot of moves that wear down his opponent's neck, for the purpose of setting up the Destiny Driver. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Gabriel Black's finisher is the Destiny Driver, a lethal inverted piledriver known to seriously injure nearly anybody who takes it. Most wrestlers fear this move and will be constantly vigilant to avoid it, so he will often use the Destiny Hammer, a leaping kneesmash from the top turnbuckle. He has started using a fisherman suplex to win matches as well. | |||||||||
| Name: The Green Dragon | Height: 6'2" | Weight: 244 | Date of Birth: January 31, 1980 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "The Battle of Evermore", The Lovemongers | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Fort Severn, Ontario | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: none | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | The Green Dragon is a muscular young man whose face is concealed by the aqua-green dragon mask that he wears over his head. The mask, and his matching tights, is shiny and covered with a scale-like texture, and bears a dragon-like crest on the top of the head. His body is muscular and toned, with ruddy, well-tanned skin. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | The Green Dragon is a somewhat goofy brawler and powerhouse wrestler. He's totally lost when he tries to wrestle a technical match or take to the air, so he uses a lot of basic, old-style moves. His power makes him a threat, but his lack of skill and his occasional odd dragon-like mannerisms provide huge openings that opponents can capitalize on. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | The Green Dragon often works a Samoan drop into his matches. When angry or showing his dominance, he'll let out a mighty dragon-like roar. He will also occasionally hold a lighter under his lips and use it to "breathe fire", either as an attack or as a way of showing off to the crowd. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | The Green Dragon, not surprisingly, uses a Dragon Sleeper as his finishing move. | |||||||||
| Name: Hasan Gilden | Height: 6'0" | Weight: 230 | Date of Birth: September 14, 1978 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Jump", Van Halen | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: San Jose, California | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: none | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | "Hot Stuff" Hasan Gilden is a young man of Middle Eastern descent, with dark, tan skin and nearly shoulder-length curly black hair that he keeps slicked back with copious amounts of gel and grease. He has a tattoo of a flamingo on his left shoulder and upper arm, and dresses in a rather gaudy fashion, with hot pink pants, a hot pink vest, numerous gold chains around his neck, several large bejeweled gold rings on his fingers, and even a pair of sunglasses with thick gold frames encrusted in jewels. He removes all of that except for the pants when he wrestles. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Hasan Gilden is a very enthusiastic, aggressive competitor. He's a competent brawler with modest skills in technical wrestling or aerial offense, but he's crafty enough to go a long way on the ability that he does have. He's a decent all-around competitor, but his lack of killer instinct and his habit of showboating and playing to the crowd at inopportune times are two key weaknesses. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Hasan Gilden has a nasty discus clothesline that he can often hit out of nowhere to catch an opponent off-guard. When his opponent is down, occasionally he'll reward himself by jumping up in the air and doing the splits mid-air, landing with one leg extended forward and one leg extended backward. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Hasan Gilden finishes his matches with a reverse crucifix power bomb into an Ace Crusher, which he calls the Neon Sunset. | |||||||||
| Name: Heather Dannon | Height: 5'6" | Weight: 146 | Date of Birth: April 5, 1979 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Halfway Decent", Audio Karate | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Linden, New Jersey | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: none | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Heather Dannon is an average-sized, athletic woman with curly, shoulder-length light-brown hair. She dresses in a white spandex tube top, white tights with silver shooting stars on the sides of the legs, and silver boots. She's not really unattractive, but she isn't a heart-stopping beauty like some female wrestlers, and she has a moderate acne problem. She's very enthusiastic in all of her actions or mannerisms, and often given to dramatic mood swings. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | It's clear that Heather Dannon was trained competently as a wrestler; she has some nice moves, and performs them fairly well for someone who's fresh out of the Power Plant. However, she also frequently makes mistakes, and those mistakes are usually big ones that cost her a match in short order. Perhaps when she gains enough experience to overcome these failings, she'll be a halfway decent wrestler after all. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Heather Dannon, being fresh out of the VCW Power Plant, hasn't established a lot of key spots, but her offense seems to be fairly dropkick-heavy so far. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Heather Dannon hasn't actually had a chance to perform her finishing move yet in a professional match, but supposedly it's called the Halfway Decent Exposure, and it's a fireman's carry into a flapjack. | |||||||||
| Name: Jacob Idol | Height: 6' | Weight: 216 | Date of Birth: November 20, 1972 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Kashmir", Led Zeppelin | Managers/Valets: Derek Cole, Jasmina Chastity | |||||||||
| From: Toronto, Ontario, Canada | Tag Teams: w/Rob Solomon | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Tag Team Titles (2) (w/Rob Solomon x2) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Jacob Idol dressed in a more unorthodox style during his early days in VCW, but these days he wears standard wrestling boots and kneepads, and black wrestling trunks with his initials in one of the corners. His chin-length hair is completely straight and dark brown in color. Except when taking a cocky sort of enjoyment in punishing an opponent, taunting the crowd, or savoring a victory, his face usually bears a serious, angry, bitter glare. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Jacob Idol is a good technical wrestler and high-flyer who can also brawl competently; he's fairly well-rounded in all areas except for power wrestling. In a match, he often goes after his opponent's arm, seeking to disable them and earn a submission victory. He doesn't often take to the air if he can win a match through mat wrestling and focused attacks on the arm, but when he does it often comes as a nasty surprise to his opponents. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Jacob Idol will start off a good portion of his matches by grabbing his opponent's arm out of a lockup and wringing it out immediately. Some of his opponents have come to expect this from him, and will go into the match with a counter in mind. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Jacob Idol's finishing move is listed as the Moonsault Bodyblock, but he doesn't often use it. Instead, he seeks to win most of his matches with an armbar submission or inverted DDT. Very rarely, he'll find the opportunity to pull out his old singles finisher, a top-rope inverted DDT known as the Idolizer. | |||||||||
| Name: Jacques Normandy | Height: 6'5" | Weight: 287 | Date of Birth: April 5, 1970 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Big Balls," AC/DC | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Sturgis, South Dakota | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Tag Team Titles (w/Butch Manson) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | "Hell's Musketeer" Jacques Normandy is huge and muscular, with bulky well-defined, deeply-tanned muscles. Since his transformation to Hell's Musketeer, Jacques Normandy now comes to the ring wearing a fine silk shirt and slacks, and riding boots, though he removes the shirt to wrestle. He has long, brown hair, which he now sometimes braids before his matches, and a thick beard, and his face looks like the sort that may have been handsome before it was exposed to too much sun and violence. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Jacques Normandy's wrestling style is simply to maul his opponents with power moves and powerful blows from his fists and feet, with the occasional foreign object. He approaches pretty much every match the same, brawling as though it was a street fight, and willingly absorbing his opponent's offense if it means he can land a few good blows of his own. His size and power are second to very few in VCW, but he's almost completely lacking in any sort of technical wrestling ability or agility. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Jacques Normandy lacks any sort of flamboyance or technical game plan, and doesn't really have any key spots. He just hits people and tosses them around until they break down. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Jacques Normandy uses a vertical suplex into a powerslam (Jackhammer) which, he calls the Jacqueshammer, to finish his matches. He also likes to use his old finishing move, the Chokeslam, on occasion. | |||||||||
| Name: Jeremy Tellier | Height: 5'6" | Weight: 147 | Date of Birth: April 14, 1984 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Jeremy," Pearl Jam | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Sacramento, California | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: none | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Jeremy Tellier is a short, skinny young man who looks even younger than he is, with pale skin and a boyish face covered in freckles. His hair is now dyed black and neatly trimmed, but it doesn't do that much to make him look older or menacing, nor does his chosen ring attire of a black T-shirt and blue jeans. These days, he often looks angry about the lack of respect that he's getting, but that makes him look more like a boy on the verge of a tantrum than a menacing threat. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Jeremy Tellier is a quick, athletic young man. The problem is that he's much smaller than any male opponent he ends up facing. He can wrestle and brawl competently for someone of his size, has a wide variety of high-flying moves at his disposal, and attacks with fearless aggression. Unfortunately, a single blow from a typical opponents will send him careening halfway across the ring, and large powerhouse opponents can often pitch him from the ring into the front row of the audience. His size is a big handicap to be overcome. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Every wrestling move always seems to look more high-impact when it's executed on Jeremy Tellier. He never just falls to the mat and stays there. He pops up in the air like a skyrocket after being dropped on his head with a DDT or piledriver, he flips head over heels when hit with a big punch or clothesline, and he tumbles wildly whenever he's thrown or knocked across the ring. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | When he gets a chance, Jeremy Tellier will try to finish his opponents with a flying bodypress called the Delivery (a hold-over from his old "paperboy" gimmick in NCXCW) or a tornado DDT from the top rope called the Tough Break. | |||||||||
| Name: Jimmy Lockman | Height: 6' | Weight: 235 | Date of Birth: January 13, 1953 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Big Shot", Billy Joel | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Spokane, Washington | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: NCWA World Title (3), NCWA North American Title, NCWA World Tag Team Titles (w/Sean Black) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Jimmy Lockman comes to the ring wearing a feathered, sequined robe and a pair of expensive sunglasses, and carrying a golden-handled cane. When he wrestles, he sets all that aside, wearing only a pair of plain wrestling trunks, kneepads, and boots. His physique is obviously deteriorating with age, with shrinking muscles and a growing midsection, but despite appearances he still has a fair amount of power and a great deal of stamina. His hair is once again a flowing mane of peroxide blond, the same color as that of countless old-style heel wrestlers. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Jimmy Lockman's a proficient technical wrestler and brawler, but he prefers to stick to the old-style stuff and the basics. He viciously works over his opponent's leg in any way he can, setting up the Figure-Four Leglock, while taking his opponent down with basic suplexes and other moves. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Jimmy Lockman loves to use vertical suplexes, low blows, and kneebreakers, and seldom will one of his matches end without these moves being used at least once, and often multiple times. He's also fond of using kneelifts, and throws a mean jumping kneelift to take his opponents down. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Jimmy Lockman finishes his opponents by making them submit to the Figure-Four Leglock. Failing at that, he'll often use his golden-handled cane or a pair of brass knuckles hidden in his tights to score the win when the referee's attention is elsewhere. | |||||||||
| Name: Jockey Oldcastle | Height: 6'1" | Weight: 401 | Date of Birth: February 15, 1968 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Minstrel In The Gallery", Jethro Tull | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Seattle, Washington | Tag Teams: Knights of the Squared Circle (w/Monty Pompous) | |||||||||
| Titles Held: none | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Jockey Oldcastle is a large, fat man who wears gray slacks and a brown leather shirt to the ring. His hair is short, brown, and curly, and his thick, bushy beard is slightly longer, but equally curly. He's a jovial, blustering, boastful competitor who is always confident in his own power and ability until it is faced with a significant challenge. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Jockey Oldcastle isn't much of a wrestler. He is old and fat, and has very little stamina or mobility. In spite of that, he is a big, strong man, and when he tosses an opponent around or drops an elbow with all four hundred of his pounds behind it, he can do some serious damage. In addition to that, his size makes many types of moves, such as various suplexes, extremely difficult to execute on him. Opponents whose conventional wrestling tactics fail due to his immense mass may be forced to brawl it out with him, and if nothing else he is a tough, capable brawler. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Jockey Oldcastle will often bring an opponent down with a bodyslam or by clotheslining them with a large, meaty arm. He loves to crush opponents with his weight, by catching them with an avalanche in the corner or dropping a big elbow or leg on them. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Jockey Oldcastle finishes his opponents with a Big Splash. He backs into the ropes, then stomps forward, leaps into the air, and comes crashing down belly-first onto a downed opponent. If he has enough time to move his ponderous bulk up to the top turnbuckles, and all else has failed, once in a blue moon he may even go up to the top turnbuckle and come off with a huge flying bodypress splash. | |||||||||
| Name: Johnny Smiles | Height: 6'2" | Weight: 230 | Date of Birth: March 5, 1975 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Degenerated", Lone Rangers | Managers/Valets: none | |||||||||
| From: Indianapolis, Indiana | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW Intercontinental Title (2) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Johnny Smiles is fairly lean, with medium-long, curly dark brown hair, and a carefree smile on his face most of the time. He usually wears a pair of Kevin Nash-style leather pants to the ring, along with a white T-shirt (with the sleeves and midriff cut off) or tank top with "Johnny" printed across it. He doesn't exactly look like a very intimidating sight. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Johnny Smiles wrestles in a somewhat simple, basic modern style, without much in the way of focus. He's a passable brawler, with some quick moves and enough basic wrestling ability to get by, but he doesn't really excel in any area, and his mat and submission wrestling skills are almost non-existant. On top of that, he occasionally does something that's just stupid, like turning around to interact with the fans during a crucial point in a match, which works to his disadvantage a lot. Despite that, he's more successful in the ring than anyone would assume he could hope to be. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Johnny Smiles likes to use a power bomb-superkick combination, often setting up the Smiledriver with these moves. In addition, he likes to dropkick an opponent twice in the corner, then pull them out and go for a double-leg cradle. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | The Smiledriver is a fireman's carry into a Michinoku Driver, the same move as Lash LeRoux's Whiplash 2000. When he can't lift an opponent for this move, Johnny will usually try to go for the pin immediately after the superkick. | |||||||||
| Name: Ken Collins | Height: 6' | Weight: 221 | Date of Birth: March 4, 1974 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Liquid Mercury", Jimmy Page | Managers/Valets: Stacey Lockman | |||||||||
| From: San Diego, California | Tag Teams: none | |||||||||
| Titles Held: VCW World Tag Team Titles (2) (w/Bobby Danson x2), VCW Television Title, VCW Intercontinental Title | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Ken Collins has a lean, but extremely well-defined physique with a light tan, and wears blue tights with black and silver trim. He has short blond hair, clear blue eyes, and a movie star's smile, and he looks a bit like Fred from Scooby Doo. But there's no mistaking his competence in the ring; every movement that he makes is fast and precise. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Ken Collins is a remarkably skilled technical wrestler and high-flyer, who makes it his goal in a match to wear his opponent's shoulder down, setting up his finishing move, the California Crossface. By sheer intensity, he's able to hold his own in a brawl, throwing impressive chops and punches. But he's most at home in a technical match, and usually opts for a mixture of mat-based wrestling and high-impact suplex takedown wrestling, with the occasional high-flying move thrown in. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | Ken Collins will usually perform a shoulderbreaker on his opponent right before he goes for the California Crossface. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Ken Collins uses both the California Crossface and the Flying Dropkick as finishers, and if one of them fails to get the victory, it's a good bet that he'll try the other one before long. Occasionally, he will use an ankle lock submission instead of the Crossface. | |||||||||
| Name: Komachi | Height: 5'3" | Weight: 168 | Date of Birth: August 24, 1973 | |||||||
| Entrance Music: "Superbeast", Rob Zombie | Managers/Valets: Minako | |||||||||
| From: Hiroshima, Japan | Tag Teams: w/Virginia | |||||||||
| Titles Held: SJW World Title, SJW World Tag Team Titles (w/Virginia) | ||||||||||
| Appearance: | Somewhat stocky and muscular, Komachi is still fairly attractive, in a fierce sort of way. She has the build of a fighter, and often dresses ready to fight, in boots and a leotard. She typically wears a mask of black facepaint, with elaborate patterns and Japanese calligraphy over the black in silver facepaint. Her black hair is cropped at her chin. Her tongue and inner mouth are usually blue, from the blue mist that she often spits at opponents. | |||||||||
| Wrestling style/tactics: | Komachi is a powerful combatant with some wrestling skill as well. Her power and martial arts ability give her an arsenal of devestating punches and kicks, and when an opponent is reeling, she'll often finish them off with a devestating power move. Despite her muscular size, she moves quickly and gracefully, and when an opponent is weakened she won't hesitate to make use of a high-flying move or two as she goes in for the kill. | |||||||||
| Key spots: | When she can get away with it, Komachi frequently spits a blue mist in her opponents' eyes, blinding them and giving her an advantage. | |||||||||
| Finishing moves: | Komachi's primary finisher is a devestating Running Power Bomb, though she also throws a lethal uraken (back spinning punch). | |||||||||
